  1. Thank you everyone.

I look forward to next week.
  2. First of all, you have a nice costume. I also like the impressive set of bonuses on display; it makes for a nice picture. So, bar in the background, is AlienOne a big drinker??? You do know that you're saying to the kids of Paragon City, "This is where the cool cats hang out." Oh, strike that, I see you are a Vigilante...o.k. that explains it...

I see that your post is going on 90 views and no one has made any comments...you see, this is what happens when you write a guide. No one dares to scrutinize the expert's build.

Overall I like it. The many hold procs, and especially having two of them in Grav Snare jumps out at me. I have a Stone/Rad Controller that holds...everything...she has many hold procs worked in as well.

Do you actually use Jump Kick? Because if not you could get Super Jump earlier instead and drop a KB protection enh there or your Winter's Gift (I do see you have these elsewhere already).

I like getting Vengeance early on but, then again, I just use my one build for everything whereas I have read you make use of all three.

I find the Gaus in Sunless interesting. Especially since you are missing out on the extra defense of six slotting. I do see that when Vengeance is on you are at 32.5+ def.

The Jav Volley in Unchain is a nice touch and one that I may incorporate.

So no accuracy in Eclipse...Is it autohit now or is your acc high enough to do without it or do you make it high enough by using sun or inspirs first?

The multiple slots in Health and Stamina don't appeal to me but I suppose you are needing the end. And Neby Form...two slotted...if it floats your boat. But SJ unslotted has better stats.

    Later
  3. Hmm, well, to put the matter shortly...

It depends upon the build as well as the player.

I recommend that you try out human, biform and triform. Remember you can have up to 3 different builds from which to chose on the same character. Utilize all three...

Use SOs and slot each build. Play with all of them, decide which one you prefer and then IO it out.

Oh and read AlienOne's guide too.

  5. Wow. That looks very nice. However, I think the lobster form and human form are in need of representation.

I think you should put an anthropomorphic figure in the middle and a lobster at the bottom.

Beyond that, does anyone think we need less purple but more white?

    Great job Zaloopa.
  6. Does anyone else think we need a nice shiny seal just like Tanker Tuesday has???

Good luck & thanks.
    1. I am glad that you like it and that by publishing it I have saved your future Ubertoon from being executed (or committing suicide).

    2. There are already great guides that have been published (In particular, I recommend checking out AlienOne's Human only guide and Dechs Kaison's MFing Warshade guide). That being said, if you skim through this post as well as a few of my other posts, you will easily discover my theories, tactics, opinions etc. Better yet, you could come visit Protector and team with me to find out and witness more. Oh, and we have a Kheld Friday event every week on Protector if you are interested...

Again, I thank you for your confidence in my ability to bring about necessary change. I shall prepare a place for you within my cabinet. Hmm...Secretary of Energy? (You do like Peacebringers.) Secretary of Agriculture? (You are fond of farming aren't you?)...Hmm...Oh well, we have plenty of time to work this out.

I know what you are thinking...

"I said the floor now belongs to post # 2."

    I did not say,

"The thread now belongs to post # 2."

And while I do not apologize for sharing my thoughts, I do wish to turn this thread back over to you.

    "What WON'T "Fix" Khelds?"

    1. Presumption and Despair

    2. We won't (The Devs must make the changes)

    3. Not having a unified vision.

Yeah, this led me to that conclusion,

    "...Prerequisite AT: Bring a tank
    Prerequisite Level: Bring a tank
Prerequisite Powers: BRING A FRICKING TANK!"

But, luckily I have a tank or two and was able to get in on the action albeit about 20 minutes late.

    Goodtimes...

As I've related before...being Triform...I think that "Change" is still the best platform from which to run.

    Regarding your questions...

    1. Congrats on your decision to make a Kheld. Although it depends upon your build and playing ability...I think it is likely that you will be able to solo AVs.

    2. Kinda depends on what you mean by OPd. Frankly I doubt that you will be able to solo a +4 AV with no incarnates/insps/temps. But I encourage you to chase that goal if that is your dream. A well built and well played scrapper will probably solo better than you...unless you are better built and better played.

    3. Ill/rad and Ill/cold have potent debuffs as well as a number of other great powers that allow them to do silly things...like solo Giant Monsters...without Lore Pets.

    4. Take it slow and see. Become familiar with every aspect of your Kheld and then you decide what a good benchmark is for you.
  12. Presumption and Despair

For my specific suggestions I urge everyone to take the time to sort through my previous posts.

But, seriously, do you really want to do that?

What everyone needs to realize is that, ultimately, only the Devs can "Fix" Khelds. All of our comments, all of our complaints and all of our criticisms change nothing. That is, of course, unless the Devs decide to act upon them.

Now, this does not mean that I discourage community discussions. Comment on other peoples' comments, complain until your heart is content, criticize as constructively or as destructively as you want.

After all, it is your right.

(But, just because it is your right does not make you right in doing so.)

I ask, "On which suggestions should the Devs act? Whom should they please? And Whom should they disappoint?"

Vauluur raises the negative, "What WON'T "Fix" Khelds?"

Others present the positive, "What WILL "Fix" Khelds?"

This day, I offer the solution, "I WILL "Fix" Khelds."

Take a moment and let that sink in...

Who is on board with this suggestion?

Who believes that I am able to effectively convey all of our real problems to the Devs?

Who trusts that I am able to fully convince them to implement all of the best solutions?

Who has faith that I am able to be the infallible voice of the people?

You see the obvious, though often overlooked, point is simply this, there is not a unified voice ushering forth from this community.

    There never has been.

It is likely that there never will be.

And without that voice, without that leadership, without everyone agreeing upon and embracing the embodiment of the Kheld ideal then there is bound to be disappointment, displeasure and disagreements.

In another time and another place I offered these words. May they encourage you all the more for we now know that we are closer to that land than we once were.

Look at the last build I posted in this thread, it takes one extra slot for Eclipse but still caps resists with 5 targets and remains perma without alpha... And has decent accuracy values (though not as good as the accuracy values were with the Nucleos. Meh, at least I get an extra HP bonus now.)
As one of my favorite authors has put it, "progress by its very name indicates a direction; and the moment we are in the least doubtful about the direction, we become in the same degree doubtful about the progress."

Clearly, we have not, nor are we, progressing toward the same goal. As I have said a number of times, whenever one chooses for something one chooses against something else.

I ask, how often in your experience do you find yourself in a situation wherein you have only 5 targets on which to use Eclipse rather than 6? As for myself, generally speaking, I am surrounded by FAR more than 5 or 6 enemies.

Getting an extra 2.256 resistance per target hit, a little KB protection, and a minor end recovery boost, at the cost of using an extra slot, while still having less recharge than my four slottage, leads me to conclude that our priorities are quite different.

You mention your Eclipse remaining perma without alpha as though it is a selling point. Well, to move from the mature to the childish...Mine is MORE PERMA .

I like my build better. Evidently, you do not. Just know that if you ever want to repent of your Human only heresy and return to the Triform fold we shall welcome you back.

Oh and about that last thing...
