So, um, could we get a double thread weekend to make up for this one?
-
Where you +1 or +3 on the test server? SR and Shield should be fine at that point, I am not so sure about other builds who had to sacrifice to hit soft cap.
-
There were run by teams with SOs, and beaten. It is all about tactics, and working together. Communication is a huge. People need to be told what to do, when to do it, then the actually need to do it.
-
I crafted and slotted Judgement t1, and Interface t2 last night. I may get to the other two slots today, but I am having wisdom teeth take out, is unlikely.
-
You are right, I didn't. I also die far less than those who did.
-
Quote:Yes you do.
And during all this time, I get no salvage or recipe drops. -
Bale played a year one Batman perfectly. You can't pick up a current Bat comic and compare that Batman to the one Bale is portraying in these movies. The word "Begins" should give that away, and point to the source material that should be used for comparison.
Bale was the first actor I ever felt really got it. Bruce Wayne is the disguise Batman wears, not the other way around.
To me, this Batman could easily fit in a world with powers simply by setting it as the Batman of a later date. I think another reboot sucks, and that Hollywood is drunk on reboots right now.
DC is missing the mark. They reboot when they should keep (This Batman), and keep when they should have rebooted (Superman movie). -
Quote:I agree with both of you. It is something that will hurt me forever I think. It is like that childhood trauma that haunts a person forever. Statesman and Geko will forever be on my poop list because of this. This saddens me to no end as I mess with MiDS to try and change this.
For PvE builds, it just seems like Regen is at the bottom of the barrel now. :/
On topic: Consistency is the simple answer. My scrapper will do the same damage against one mob, or 10. At the start, and at the end. -
SWEET! Now of I can get enough iXP to unlock judgment, and interface. I am sure I can find the time to run the trials more than 6 times tomorrow.

For me it is not all about i20 (I love the content in it), it is more about recent trends. I have purchased all of the costume packs offered. I have also found a use for every costume item in them at some point.
For me looking different is about as good as doing new things. I will build whole character concepts around a costume.
However, it isn't just about me. I like seeing what others do with new costume items also.
I hope David hasn't posted in a while because he is working on something amazing for our PCs, and not just their NPCs. I haven't seen Jay post since last summer, and kinda miss his odd sense of humor. -

Quote:I have used them all. Some I would really like to use together. I love the cyborg arms, and think they would look AWESOME with the robes from the ninja back. I can't do that though, because they are mutually exclusive for some unknown reason. This is another example of things that need to be fixed. You can put Hot Pink Cloak of Fear on everyone of your alts! They just have to be Dark Armor users!
That said, I have to ask, how often have you used these new costume pieces?
Maybe the reason the have made them into booster packs lately, is because a lot of people stick to the basics of what they had available way long ago.
I know while I have everypack made available, I'd say the Emote pack gets more of my attention than the costume pieces.
Cybrog Belt is about the only piece from the Cyborg Pack I use (and often, I love the belt).
MA Pack, I don't recall using many of those options aside from Ninja Run.
Science, yup, none of them.
Mutant, okay this has some pieces I use.
Valkyrie = boots.
Magic = A few pieces from this one actually, gloves, witch top (never the boots...have you seen how big they make the feet!), witch bottoms...and I only wish I could change out the Fur Shoulders on the magic jacket, for another shoulder option!
Mutant = Another one that gets some use when I have a concept that can use the pieces.
But really, they're like nice to have, but I can't say I've used most of the items in it. So, if the majority of players are that way, then they'd make money off their time with booster packs.
Whether or not you agree that they should, is of course a different story. -
For me, I am just really annoyed when NPCs get costume options that we do not get access to. I am not alone in this either. We did get Clockwork pieced, but the Viki, and D9 units are better. We got Praetorian Police uniform, but not the cool ones we see in game. See the trend? What ever they give us, they keep better stuff for the NPCs. Look at the awesome animations that the PPD use, and you will see more of what I mean.
That may not be the case, but it is how a lot of players feel. This needs to be fixed, and when a Dev acknowledges that it is a problem, it seems they would actively work towards changing that perception.
At first it seemed we were not even going to get the resistance items. I remember the post Jay made telling us they were not a player option. Who ever changed that was a very smart person.
The motto was "give the players what they want" when Posi was the lead Dev. Has that changed? If now, well, we want more costumes, power customization for pool powers, more animations, and more weapons.
I like the Incarnate stuff, no, really I love it. But I think all of the art resources (when it comes to the things mentioned above) should be shared with the players. The costume creator is too large a part of this game to not build on it in every issue.
I am a 100% CoX supporter, I started 2 weeks after launch. There is really very little the Devs have done that I disagreed with in the past 7 years. The NPC costumes and animations tick me off to no end. -
Imagine if they had stuck the turnstyle system in the standard closed beta and it didn't work. Then they had to remove it, when the NDA was lifted (as it always when an issue goes live) everyone would have known about it, and the DOOM cry would have been epic.
I am willing to bet that there were things tested by those who signed NDAs that are not in issue 20. I am also willing to bet that they are still under an NDA for things they tested, and can't talk about. I have no proof, because I am sure they are not going to talk.
Everyone is assuming that i20 was all they tested. Also with signed NDAs they can fall back on those same testers for future testing. There is no implied agreement because they signed in, they have a piece of paper to present to a judge along with the log in agreement. I like my house, I also like my account. I don't want to lose either. Leaking in the regular CB gets you banned from future CBs. I bet leaking after signing will at the least get your account banned.
On Topic: The only thing that could make it better would be some costume stuff. I think all in all it is a solid issue. -
Quote:I would say they are. I would love to get some new weapons, new animations to choose from, or even more colors. My priorities in terms of Things I Care About in an Issue
1:Powersets/Costumes
2:
The "Power customization doesn't count" argument is rather silly to me, it's an essential aspect of character creation/customization.
Weapons are effectively Power Customization for weapon-based sets and I doubt many people will say they aren't costume pieces. -
Welcome to the game! Virtue ant Tri are both great servers. I suggest picking a server based on play times, some are just more populated than others a different times.
This I can say for sure, you will find no better community in an MMO than here. -
You only got those if you purchased GR I believe. I am not sure though because I did purchase (2 copies) GR.

Quote:I suspect more and more threads like this will pop up until the question is answered. Not just with nice posts, but with actions.I'm sorry, but I just have to do this:
Congratulations! You've managed to come up with a unique thread topic. None of these ideas have ever been brought up before. No one has ever complained about not getting enough costume pieces. The Developers were just waiting for someone to ask before they told us, and here you are, saving us from a lot of sleepless nights wondering about this very thing. This thread was totally necessary!
...
I think I broke my sarcasm bone.
How large are the costume request threads now? How often do we get new costumes (for free)? Has power customization been finished?
Threads about this stuff pops up constantly, and yet they seem to not realize how important player costumes are. New NPC costumes are great, but I want new costumes for MY characters.
There is a large contingent of posters who are annoyed that the NPC have always gotten costume options that are requested, and desired by the players. Even David realizes it is an issue, he told me so.
Giving the IDF costume to us this issue, instead of waiting, would have been a great idea. I guess it isn't too late, but I have little faith much will be added before it goes live next week. -
It dawns on me the OP may have been an April fool's joke.
-
Quote:I agree, and his patron arc is one of the most depressing stories I have ever done in the game. Her story prevents it but I think it's pretty much implied that she has some form of minimal compassion for people in some situation. Actually, while GW is more popular, Scirocco is probably a better candidate for GR since he is specifically cursed to do evil and would rather not do what he does or at least not on the level that he's doing it.
-
This is a question I would also love an answer to. I would even add to it.
Are they still doing new animations for old powers? -
Was there any information about new costume stuff?
