Quote:Got it, thanks. My confusion was due to the fact that I had not claimed all the "Character Items" that I got originally when all this stuff went live for the headstart, and the subject text of the emails never changed.Depends on what you claimed.
The Unslotters, you drag a slotted enhancement down to your tray in the Manage screen.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Unslotter
The Boosters, you click a power in your Manage screen, pull an enhancement down into the combine circle, and the booster automatically goes into the second circle.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Enhancement_Booster
The other bits and bobs are all temporary powers, and can be found in temporary powers.
So, every time I looked at my email it would say "Enhancement Unslotters (1)", but when I actually click on the email it shows in the body the actual number of items I can claim.
Not clear, IMO. -

So I have a question - I bought all the repeatables on T9 except the signature summon and got a message that I had bought it, but I can't find it in my email or in the powers for the character I was on when I bought it.
I assume I am doing something wrong - can someone help me? -

Well, I don't know anything about coding an MMO, so I could not say if it did or not, but I will say that a mission is a mission, regardless of whether it is in the MA or from a contact. If you run at x1/+8 you are going to get high numbers of mobs in your mission no matter where it is.

It's fine. Everyone gets to play the game however they want.
I just don't understand people who hate on certain groups (farmers, PvPers, PvEers, whatever) as if the fact that they like to do (farm, PvP, PvE, whatever) somehow lessens other fun in the game.
Just because I'm not using the AE the way someone who writes arcs is using it does not mean that I'm making their arcs worse. So what's the harm? -
Quote:You are seriously living in fantasy land if you think it will do anything at all to farms.Ha-ha!
Seriously, did anyone NOT see this coming? Been needed for a long time now what with the proliferation of X/Regen custom enemy groups that everyone and their brother seems to make for their farm 'arcs.'
Maybe this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back and alert these people to the fact that the AE is not and NEVER WAS INTENDED AS a farming tool?
We can dream...
On second thought, it just proves that you have no idea how to farm, so nevermind. -
Rest in peace, L_o_T. You will be missed.

That was AWESOME. Mega-props to you!

Quote:/signedCould always do something crazy and give each AT their own version of the nuke:
Defenders = Vigilance makes it so nukes don't crash, only costs a lot of endurance to cast (45-60 END) and has longer lingering debuffs. Same recharge and damage.
Corruptor = Nuke does same damage and recharge and full crash. Gives user the 'Going All Out' buff that reduces all Corr blasts to 0 END cost for 10 sec. Take advantage of scourge here.
Blaster = Slight improvement to damage, lower recharge, full crash. Increase the range and target caps of these powers to be competative with Judgement. -
I officially have no idea what happened, but I'm glad it worked and you got back in the game. Klaw, thanks for stopping me sending him down the wrong path.

Quote:(emphasis mine)Given that the entirety of my experience in managing a civilization comes from playing Civ IV and Civ V well into the wee hours of the morning, I'd say pretty confidently that I could dominate the planet within 3 weeks, given that Ghandi doesn't try to nuke me and the Iriquois don't invent tanks too fast.
Are you SURE that says what you want it to say? -
Quote:No, he lost the first one (fell out of the case the suit was in) in the desert, and when they gave him a replacement the first thing he did was test the shrinking abilities, but he got attacked by ants and panicked and turned the power off, but left the instructions super-tiny and lost them again. Are we assuming that you activate the bracelet (and therefore the calibration command) before you know exactly what it does? If so, selling it would be useless, because no one else could use it but you. Then you're left with either using the suit to fight crime or not using it at all and putting it in a closet somewhere, hoping whoever developed it doesn't want it back.
I would fight crime with it, especially when it tells you everything it can do. I grew up with Greatest American Hero, a guy that had a super suit fall into his lap, only he didn't know all of it's capabilities (darn instruction book wasn't written in a known language), and I always wanted to put on a suit and fly because of it. You can't fly in this scenario, but being able to do everything else would be pretty cool. Hopefully you can take it off when not in action, or else you'll end up being like The Tick.
Edit: Ah, scooped by Nericus. Teach me to answer before reading the rest of the thread -
Quote:Hrmn...yeah. I was just going from prior knowledge that WinZip presents the user with a huge "Wall o'Extensions" that are all checked by default, and .exe is among them.If it was file extensions wouldn't all of his exe file icons have changed?
At least, it used to, back in the dawn of prehistory when I used it. -
Try this:

You want the second option, changing file associations. -
It sounds like WinZip changed the file association for .exe to itself. You should be able to change it back, but it is different in different versions of windows. Go to the start menu, click the Help option and search for "File Associations", it should tell you where to go to change it back.

Yeah, I'm really not interested in looking at Stateman's "derp face" every time I start the game up.

I remember you, B_A. Welcome back!

Quote:This is sheer brilliance. If we're worried about having too high-level stuff milling around... why not go the opposite direction?
Imagine an invasion of Skulls and Hellions everywhere...
GANG WAR: "We've had the recruiting drives from Hell, and now we're ready to take on this town! BRING IT!"
Or how about Zig Prisoners everywhere... that's a solid midlevel group...
PRISON BREAK: "I'm free, I'm free, and I'M NOT SO STUPID AS TO STAND JUST OUTSIDE THE PRISON SHOUTING ABOUT IT!"

An SG mate of mine was having this problem last night. I had him open Task Manager, go to the Processes tab and find the NCSoftLauncher process and end it, then restart the launcher. Worked fine after that.
