Quote:Collectors. You can't do anything with badges, can you?I just dont think that they are worth it that is all. I have not a full set but i have 20 of almost everything and 99 of each component.
For example i have the a set of inspiration in a bin of the rarest. I have 6 Iron Wills but at least they do something. You can use them on test over and over. Which has been fun at times when i used to pvp. And if you wanted to you could eat them at anytime. They are in the 200 mill area but they actually do something.
Whereas salvage is just one brainstorm which you can buy or use anything other base salvage to make. -

Full set sold for a couple billion, thanks for the interest guys.

Quote:Hey, thanks, but I don't think you quite see the value of some of these pieces, some are practically unobtainable.I may be interested. Depends on how much. I have about 3 thousand base salvages. I am missing some cause i didnt play vills till it was almost 2 years out. But post what you got. I want to pay about 10k each if its more rare i dont care just not thtat into it since they have no use other than brainstorms which i have about 8k of
For example, people have bids left in for R'yleh's rain for over 200mil a pop (I 11'd one for over 200million the other day) as well as others like Fa'lak's amulet (that've actually had less than 3-4 sell, valued at over 200mil).. A 100% full set of base salvage (containing every piece that was once available in the game) is worth a lot more to a collector than 10k a piece and a bunch of brain storm's.
Still, thanks for the post and interest.
No point outside of collecting. Just another 'thing' to show off on your main toon, such as badging. As said before, some of the pieces are just extremely rare and worth having around. -
Aye. I have for sale a full set of every released piece of base salvage in the game; including Base and Component pieces. This full set contains 151 pieces of salvage. I'll list them off when I get a chance but for now, I was more curious onto whether there were any collectors interested in these.

My last post was 99% sarcasm / jokes.
You guys are blowing this way out of proportion. They're NAMES people. -
Quote:Broad generalizations, nitpicking, you are hilarious and envious.Hmmmm let's have some fun.
Hero - name of a Comic book and Comicbook company. Partner with Wizard magazine and Marvel.
Kim - Main Character of the Kim Jonk Il comicbook (yes there is one)
Annie - Main character of comic strip Little Orphan Annie. Also name of movie and play based on same comic.
Lucy - Famous Cartoon character from Peanuts comic.
So great Devs of COX here's a chance to generic 4 names.
Don't think generic 235 6789 345 will go for millions.
Hero: "City of Heroes" ; good luck.
Kim: Typical female name.
Annie: Typical female name.
Lucy: Typical female name.
Excel: ex·cel/ikˈsel/Verb: Be exceptionally good at or proficient in an activity or subject.
People can make arguments that this is wrong, "not a service to the community", etc; but from what I've seen so far I've made one person extremely happy. Someone who was willing to pay practically anything for Hero, as they wanted it. The fact they obtained it was thrilling to them and thus, I am more comfortable than ever selling names. I've decided to make a habit of it, I am now going to login to the city and attempt to claim every name I can get my hands on. -
Hi guys, surprised by the attention this thread has caught.
First off, Hero is now sold. The rest of the names aside from Lucy remain available (I am keeping this name I've decided for one of my toons on VIP)
I apologize to the users who believe "hoarding" names is wrong but, this is to each their own and I have broken no rules or caused any griefing in doing so- besides, it's not as if I'm sitting on an account full of legendary super heroic / villainous names as said.
The way I see it, these are names I wanted specificly and the fact I got them is just luck.
Value is in the eye of the beholder, most of these aren't that special to anyone and in no way was their any issues reported in me obtaining these names.
With all that said, the rest of the names are still available. -

@Annihilius
1) Ice/Rad Corrupter "Annihilius" -
Timing is everything and is simple as can be. Simply coordinate a time to make the trade and it's as simple as delete and create. The chances of someone grabbing a name within the 30 seconds of delete / create is very unlikely.

Aye. Decided I'd see what these might fetch me:
Hero: That's right, Hero. This one I won't let go cheap.
Kim: *shrug*
Annie: *shrug*
Lucy: *shrug*
Excel: *shrug*
Looking to see what these might go for, mostly Hero. -
Let me know if you'll do another one of these at a discount.

I have traded via email for billions over billions in trades, usually across servers. I guess you never know who might want to rip you off, but I've never had an issue. In my experience, people in this game seem to be smarter than that. I don't generally mind sending upfront, but if I suspect anything I have no issue calling it out and asking that the other upfront it. You can usually judge a person by their veteran badges.

the price of the one on ebay is just a joke, no one could be that desperate :P
-
I'd pay billions for that Rulu-Shin costume
-
Looking for a Rulu-Shin costume code, offering billions in influence or enhancements of your choice. Please send a PM or; a tell to @Annihilius for quick contact. Thanks!
-
So, for us big convention-goers and collectors who already have and spent (years) collecting the 'exclusive' costume codes, this blows big time to see them sell for pocket change.
When can we expect the Halloween codes to be released back onto the market? I already have every costume code via trade/convention, and it's sad seeing that these are on the market but Halloween costumes not. Considering now all the users who spent the time to buy a few of these when they first came out have them mutually exclusive.
EDIT: Oh.. And being someone that has purchased costume codes in the past for 2.5-3,000,000,000 influence, I find $6 to be a freaking steal.
Now, just please put the Halloween ones back so us people that earned our convention costume codes have something to buy. -
Mystic Fortune wins.

Quote:If you create another channel on Exalted (VIP), I'll bomb your Liberty toons.Hehe, POOF is sg channel, and LFA is the community channel for Liberty that I represent. Now that I like Exalted more, and its more active - Thinking about stepping down to get into the Exalted Community to run Events.
You know you're a welcome moderator in VIP. -
This is kind of funny, you missed one of the biggies.
/chanjoin VIP
This is the current leading-in-numbers channel on exalt. Might want to toss this into your list. -
As I completely support this idea in full, it would be a matter of pulling everyone together and discussing it. There are too many channels and as it stands although VIP and Exalted Events hold the most active users, the others channels do still have many users with loyalty to that channel.
It may be a difficult task, but at this point we might even have more hope for merging VIP and Exalted Events upfront and simply over ruling the rest by numbers. This is something still that would need to be discussed, but hopefully either way we can come to some positive resolution for discarding the quantity of Exalted channels to date- we'll talk more on this matter and keep those of you updated; your feedback is greatly appreciated.
