Well with the fast approaching I15 and the return of Reichsman and then Tyrant with the new expansion, there seem to be a plethory of Statesman clones. If I were Lord Recluse, it would be time to ring the alarm bells because three Statesmen are two Statesmen too many.

More costumes villan crime in the open world!

Growth Defensive set -- I wanna be 40' tall!
Shrinking Defensive set -- I'm 1/8th of an inch tall!

See what you did there? A little extra elaboration in those two. If you can jam a Zeus Titan in an indoor mission, A character can be at least as tall. -
Electric Aura: You create a static electric field around your body that has a high chance to electrocute (Hold) and drain endurance of anyone withing the field.
-
Just the look of the object. This game already has us having to narrate our origins to justify why the powers themselves look the same, but why not have some choices as to how the staff and wand look?
-
As I have always said, "If it uses a weapon, it should be customizable!" This is particularly true of the Nemesis staff. You still get the thing as a temp in-mission, why not change the name of the Vet version and make it customizable?

I've never seen the point of a secret identity system when you can just use an alternate costume slot for exactly that. That's what all the day job costumes were put in for, amongst the numerous other costume pieces that are more civilian in nature. I say this as a roleplayer.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well the reason for me is the fact that I really don't like the idea of sacrificing a costume slot just for looking normal. This idea could also add dynamic costume changes without tying up certain powers with complicated macros or key binds. -
This is how I thought Day Jobs was going to work. You log in as an NPC with your custom Day Job costume (ie: street clothes). IN this mode, you can walk around, wave at other heroes, but cannot trade, fight, or otherwise communicate other than "Nice Day isn't it?" when someone else clicks on your character. Now, like typical NPCs, your character will freeze in panic when confronted by a villain, but instead of running, your character has the option of changing into his heroic personae and fight.

It.... could be a limited form of Flight, with the drift. That'd be awesome, because I love the drift. But yeah the animation is pretty much the really hard part, so ... we can run, slide, fly, jump teleport ... meh.
It'd be good for a Dazzler rip but...

Lets not forget a skateboard ala Rocket Racer and sadly someone else who had a rollerskating phase, Iron Man -
The reason these threads come up is because even though we receive generous expansions every few months, lots of us still feel "enclosed". Zones like the Shard are too few and far between where we can say we are actually out of the city. I ran a mission on villain side where I was supposed to be in some kind of "demon dimension" and it still had War Walls! It's a matter pf perception and we feel powerful if the perception is that we are powerful. Me personally, I am not against a "World of Heroes" or a "Universe of Heroes" as long as it feels like a world or a universe.

To be honest, it has nothing to do with how you or I feel.
BABs all ready said it will take too much time to do it right so it isn't gonna happen.
If they do get time to do it then great. I have no problem with walk animations being put in game. I have a problem with these stupid threads being brought up over and over again just because you think "If we keep posting it, they will do it for us".

I give you Weapons Customization! Starting with BaBs saying we can't do that, big post campaign, ending with custom weapons. Now don't take this the wrong way (probably too late) I die a little inside every time someone brings up the CoP or City Vault, but in a sense it's because they really want these things (hell, I really want them too). I think a lot of people here repost these things thinking that this is a way to keep these things from falling off the radar. We will continue to remind them that these suggestions have been posted before and move on...that is until the next time. -

It's really a silly thing not to be able to do. We can run but we can't walk. I understood where BaBs was coming from with the engine and all, but it really is silly especially when you see characters walking in some of the trailers.

/em bangs head on desk
They are able to do things in the videos that they can not do in game. Why do people think that a group pf graphic artists and game developers are unable to manipulate a short video enough that it's basically nothing but a short bit of animation?
[/ QUOTE ]
Keep banging, but I did say I was aware of the limitations, hence I am also aware of the fact that that was just a video animation, but when new players see that, they get in the game and ask "Where's the walk button?". /em Bang Head -

I haven't read anywhere about giving Epics to NPCs. Is this possible or still on the shelf?

Wow. Sounds complex. I'm sad that you cant apparently decide which rooms things spawn in. I guess you just have to use the existing spawn points. One of my biggest motivations in using the MA was to place stuff in those rooms that never have spawns.
Oh well.

What I find odd is that there used to be room / areas that had spawns that you just don't see anymore (mailroom in the office building for example). I wonder if the Dev version allows for actual placement where ours does not? -
Great FAQ!
I have one further question?
How do I set dialogue for non-patrol mobs? -

I'm still on my first cup of coffee, and haven't been able to kindle the CT reactor yet this morning, so apologies if it's obvious to everyone but me, but what am I missing? What's the problem with letting trial accounts use the MA?

Freak Slicer: Oh no! It's Captain Dynamic!

I know what you're thinking. Sitting there... looking at all the Issue 14 information... "Boy! Wait till I get my hands on this! My missions are going to be SO AWESOME people will LOVE THEM! Now is my time to shine!"
I know you're thinking that. But you're wrong. MY MISSIONS WILL BE AWESOME! IT'S MY TIME TO SHINE!!! My missions, story arcs, criminal groups, dialogue, etc. will make yours look like doo doo!!!
MWAA HAAA HAAA HAAA HAAA!
Of course this is just my opinion and you can disagree. But you're wrong again!

Heroes of the "City of" world have a weird idea of R & R.
Hero A : Hey! Let's take a break from our day-to-day world of villains, crimes, seedy underworlds, and mortal peril and try out this device that lets us create whole new worlds!
Hero B: Wow, that sounds great! What should we put in it? Exotic locales? Different historical time periods? Beaches populated with scantily-clad and pliant young ladies/gentlemen? And margaritas?
Hero A: Uh . . . I was thinking villains, crimes, seedy underworlds and, um, mortal peril.
Hero B: . . .
Hero A: Okay, forget it let's go to the Arena.
Hero B: So . . . instead of smashing villains over the head . . . we can smash . . . each other over the head . . .
Hero A: Yeah! Sounds fun, right?
Hero B: . . .
Hero A: Gosh, now that I come to tell someone like that . . .
Hero B: I'm going to Pocket D and getting margaritas.
When all you have is a fist, every problem begins to look like villany's face.

WIN! -
All I'm saying is that there must be a better way to incorporate this into making us better heroes. Crafting, although a diversion from actual hero work, is necessary to improve our powers. This goes in the opposite direction as we can flitter away our time fighting made up villains instead of the real thing.
...Hmmm, perhaps that is the point? -
Come on! This just beggs for a "What If-Worlds" theme.
-
We've been making the suggestion for months now that they could have used Portal Corp as a way to explore alternate realities that are custom to the observer (ie. You).

I still wish this had a stronger tie to the mainstream lore than just a overgrown mini-game. Out do Television? Really?
