I think this would fall under the broader catagory of customizable gaits. Rolling skating/Rollerblading would be great. So would dragging your knuckles like an Ape/Beast, but I doubt either will ever happen. Too much work. I'd be happy with anything that let my male characters NOT look like Richard Simmons when when they run.
Indeed. It's a shame that it'd be so much work, I really wanted to make a rollerskating (or rollerblading) character, or at least slap skates on my Lil' Slugger half-tribute.

Well, yeah it would be a lot of work, which is why I said it would be cool as a booster. That way, they could justify the extra work it would require for those of us that care.

If BAB were clever about it, he could tack on some of the running animations onto the sliding effects powers, and make some rollerskates!
SO! Any chance on this happening? Like I said, it would totally be cool as a additional pack. 
Include rollerskate costume options, then maybe a superspeed rocket skates power to go with it

I don't think I'd ever use it, but as far as animation?
Female - ... I forget what they're called, the platform type boots. Doesn't change the leg or animation at all, you just have a thicker "sole." That, at least, would let you get the look down.
The animation, though... yeah, that'd be a *lot* of work, potentially. At the very least you have the "skating" animation. Though if it does what it does for, say, Prestige Power Slide, it'll put you into the normal rooted animations when you attack.
Not quite sure how that'd look.
It.... could be a limited form of Flight, with the drift. That'd be awesome, because I love the drift. But yeah the animation is pretty much the really hard part, so ... we can run, slide, fly, jump teleport ... meh.
It'd be good for a Dazzler rip but...

Some friends and I were talking last night, and we all decided we'd love to see roller skates in the game. I am putting it here instead of Jay's costume thread, because it would require work from the animation team too, maybe like even a booster pack for those that care, those that don't can leave it. Though, if you do add it as a paid one, then please make a few options for the skates, like at least traditional and then some blades at least.
