  1. You might want to try this instead:

Badge Reporter - In-Game badge reporting tool!

Specifically the following post (but instructions are in the previous link):

Okay, I had an idea and ran with it. Since there were only about 20 Accolades that gave powers, I created a side project from the Badge Reporter to help a character track and earn each Accolade Powers.

The Accolade Power Collector PopMenu is more advanced than the Badge Reporter though. It not only shows you what badges are needed for each Accolade Power, it actually tells you how to get them too, thanks to the data at wiki.cohtitan.com!

Click the link here to download the Accolade Power Collector PopMenu and follow the same instructions as above for installation, just with a different MNU file. The PopMenu name for the /popmenu command is AccoladePowerCollector.

I think I might have missed a bit of data from the Accolade Badges and powers that have cross-over awarding, but that should be easy enough to fix if anyone points out any problems.

Almost forgot, here's a picture of the Accolade Power Collector in action. In the menu for each individual power, the description of the power will be greyed out if you do not have the power yet and so will the badges below that you are missing. If there is an "Also earned with..." Accolade, it will show you if you have that one or not.
    Edit:
A few of the details are off with some of the zone changes (ie go to the echo of Galaxy City now).

-Sells you out, making you the fall guy
-Laughs in your face and tells you you've just been doing his errands
-Sits back down and says "and now we wait"

It's not satisfying at all. Heroside, players get the satisfaction of stopping the bad guys and saving the day. Villainside, players get to be lackeys for bigger villains and, afterward, are politely told to go home and wait for the next opportunity.
Who knows? Maybe the villain version of the final SSA will be the villains helping to save the world, then when they are all patting themselves on the back, you as the villain just "off" Darin Wade (thus needing a replacement for him too).

What? History plaque 4 is clearly marked on that map, so is the explore #5, and the inset is very clear.

Next time, go to vidiotmaps, download and install the map patch and you'll have the day job locations marked on your in-game map.

However, I feel like being charitable, so I'll even mark the locations for you:

If you can't see the locations now, you might need to get your eyes checked for color-blindness.

    [EDIT]
Dust Ranger - History Plaque #4 on that map, I prefer to stay by the transit building's doors.
Psychologist - Explore badge #5 is at Mother's hospital, anywhere near/on the building.
Survivalist - Inside the Survivor Compound, not in the buildings, the inset in the NW corner.
Scavenger - Anywhere else in First Ward.

Known issue. If you leave a base unattended for a length of time and the group owes zero rent (ie. doesn't have anything that triggers rent), the base can be locked.

The only way to resolve this is to use petition command.

This would have ZERO affect on mid-way rewards, as we don't want folks just doing some of the trials to midway for 120 threads then quiting.
Why even run UG or MoM when the failure rates on those two trials means that I get a 50/50 chance of a reward (UGT) or zero rewards (MoM) for doing it?

I have a 49% success rate for doing UGTs (and a 100% failure rates for PUG UGT). I have a 100% failure rate for MoM Trials.

Do you honestly think that I could care if either of those gave me enough Empyrean Merits for a PVPIO recipe for success?

Increasing the reward, with a high/extreme chance of failure for the trial itself is not going to be the answer to get players doing the trials. All this suggestion would do is to get those that do run a trial to abuse it more. A increase in potential rewards does not match an increase in ACTUAL rewards.

    Edit:
And it has been sort of tried by the developers. They doubled the empyrean merit reward for Keyes, they've increased the odds to get rares/very rares, and they've increased the rewards for Underground. Keyes participation is up, but only after they reduced the difficulty. Undergrounds aren't up.

    It is incredibly frustrating:
    • To give feedback.
    • Watch said feedback come to pass.
    • Then see the same problem two or three (or more) major patches later.
    • Finally have the development team say that they don't understand why something isn't being received as they had hoped when the feedback told them why before it happened.

Sorry, I thought I seen a comment to that said/implied that. Probably a player post, not a developer statement.

On the other hand, during this ustream Second Measure, while saying he didn't know why Baryonyx set the difficulty, said that there was a progression to the Incarnate Trials and that the trial is an extension of the progression.

It is a reasonable deduction, based on the fact that several of the development team's "home" server is Virtue. They would also be asking on Freedom due to the larger population. They also spend a lot of time on Exalted.

As to the stalking... There is approximately 1,000 miles between me and Paragon Studios, strictly geographically speaking. Then again, that might cover the philosophical difference too.

That isn't what I said. To use a current example, the DD trial on beta. After promising to look into a solo/small team Incarnate path, they stick a 54+3 Incarnate Trial for 8-16 players in the middle of a level 50+1 arc. A level 50 doing said zone content will be level 50+1 by that point.

Does that, in any shape or form, strike you as reasonable?

At best, that character is going to be facing +5 (for a few critters), and +6 critters for the majority of the trial. Even proponents of having difficult trials are giving feedback that the level shifts should be taken out of the trial so that it can be another introductory trial. Instead, the developers have (edit: given the impression) that they are sticking with the trial at +3 (edit: because increasing the difficulty implies "progression").

Zwillinger, as much as I love this game and as much as I respect the development team and the moderation staff, I don't know how to say how much this game is diminished by some of the developer choices.

A question: have you, the moderation team, or the developers gone to various servers on unofficial accounts and looked at how the players are receiving some of the content? Has the development team taken a step back and looked at their work from the perspective "why aren't people doing this?" rather than "what can we do to make sure players are doing this?"

    • Offering discounts when purchasing in bulk based on early feedback both on the forums and at the Player Summit.
    • Improvements made to the Inspirations found in the packs, over doubling their duration in some cases and making them persist through death (this change was done based on feedback that these items weren't originally very desirable, especially when found in Super Packs).
    • Increased the rate at which costume pieces are discovered in packs
    • Usability improvements based on feedback on the beta user start to finish experience.
    • We're not launching with an alternate option to acquiring the costume pieces, but it is still something we're open to later on down the road.
I thank development team and the moderation team for these changes. I'm still unlikely to buy them, but they are welcome. Last night on beta I spent 70+ converter tokens (and tested out 50 more packs) to get one ATO I needed to complete a set. I can tell you right now, that I won't be doing that on live. As much as I'm impressed by some of the costume pieces, I'm still not going to gamble on the set.

I also used about 3 dozen of the inspirations (both individual and team), 3 windfalls and 3 xp boosters, and my opinion of them remains unchanged.

Would it be too hard to respond to some issues being brought up that something isn't possible at the moment, but is being looked at? Or telling us who is the intended target for some content? Because from this side of the screen, what the developers and players see as a target are two (sometimes vastly) different things.

It's a give and take and there will always be compromise.
It doesn't feel like a compromise when told that if the development team doesn't see players doing X action more, that the development team will introduce some kind of stick to make sure that action is started. Again, has the development team looked at why players are avoiding that action?

I'd say Boomtown because the only reason to go there is a mission sending you there. There are no contacts in the zone, Babbage is easier to get with a Synapse TF, the zone itself isn't visually appealing, and the only reason for anyone to go to the zone is to get a couple of badges or being sent there on a mission. It's been like that since I started in Issue 3, back in February 2005.
