"Avatar" Box Office Seen Topping $75 Million in Debut"
"An ambitious, fully immersive cinematic experience."-Washington Post
"Avatar's shock and awe demand to be seen. You've never experienced anything like it,
and neither has anyone else."-Los Angeles Times
Anyone rushing to see it, in Imax preferably?
Wifes got the flue, so if you see it spill your review.

Heh, the request has already been put in :] linky
Quote:Hey BaBs, double handed over head Shatter, please.
Ye know, for the next round of custom ani's down the road.
Mace/Axe/BS-ers will you for it. =]
I would bet near 100% he's working on weapons, and probably nearly everything else for the next round of alternate ani's. -
Does mead and wenching count?
<----Virtue is that way, just pretend you're a 13 yro girl. All I'm saying. -
Quote:Dynamic Respecs? As my wife would say: OOOOOOOHHHH! SHINEY!
I've had times where I wanted to go back and change a single power choice on a character, but held off because I didn't want to go through the full respec process. Early in a characters life I can always use the second build for that, but once I've started set IO'ing I generally don't like using a second build to do that.
Nice idea.
Prior to IO's respecing wasn't nearly the drudge it is now.
When you get a nice drop, like a purple and want to add it to a build, it's more hassle then it's worth for most time-constrained pedestrians.
I like how you think.
Since all the details for GR haven't been revealed yet, and we don't know anything about i17 (whether it's even released before the expansion or after / contents), it doesn't hurt to remind the devs of an idea that would be a popular QoL upgrade for the players.
So consider the thread your thread and bump it whenever if you like the idea, and we'll see where it goes. -
I am now part of an epic thread.

The old tired refrain one of the devs trots out to explain why this brand is pathetically under advertised.
If management believes that marketing has potentially been costing the game revenue by doing a lousy job building, and retaining subscribers interest via advertising, that should be vehemently pointed out to the publisher, until it's resolved.
Everyone at PS and NCS is involved in this product to make money, no?
Why should a CoH subscriber routinely receive email fliers from a rival company for a game many of us hate, while literally months will pass with not so much as a crumb of a tidbit to maintain interest in this mmo.
Bad marketing for anything, allowed to continue for years, is bad management, excuses aside. -

I'd say there's a fair bit of tantalizing going on just in this one stoked interest thread alone, so what ever it is Paragon's not doing, it seems to be working. (And the coveted junk emails you've received about Brand X's hero game seem to not be stoking and tantalizing-- by your own "game I hate" admission.)
.
Interesting logic.
Though, bits of game update teasers from PS, and subscribers inquiring about the dearth of such information, don't inhabit the same universe in the context you used them in.
It's silly even to reply to. It's equivalent to asserting that advertising your product is overrated, because consumers generate their own interest in your widget.
But then again, based on empirical evidence, PS likely agrees with your conclusions over mine.

Quote:This place seems to have been nothing but incoherent musings between players for quite some time now.
This companies deft skills of tantalizing and stoking interest have always, always been utterly pathetic.
They're just par for the course currently.
It's made a bit worse on the forums by a community rep who's pretty hands off
On the other hand, I fairly regularly get an email flier from a company I don't like, for a hero game I hate.
Maybe NCS isn't aware email is free, and that a tidbit here and there can't hurt.

Quote:I don't have "expectations" of devs so much as an enjoyment when we do get stuff. So less like they're obligated to give me things, and more that I play what we already have and am just happy the game is going on six years and we're still getting quality updates.
With the drop off in population the past year plus, it's unfortunate but the devs have to work harder to maintain a viable subscriber base.
One thing I wouldn't mind seeing is a new community rep, as the current one is more detached then any of their predecessors, including LightHouse.
Both the forums and the game have that stale in-between updates aura, that seems a tad more pronounced right now then in the past. -

OPs original question was about user generated maps/costumes which become officially added and user side UI mods.
All of which have been suggested at length from 04 on, and quickly shot down by a plethora of forum regulars, and of course a couple devs over the years (too much manpower required to sort). -
Quote:ever since they did the Issue 16 XP nerfs I only ever see one or two people in there at the most.Quote:... of course, most people using it would be inside the actual missions, and not visible in the buildings, so...Quote:so it wasn't like that pre i16 there were always dozens of people in the AE building visable people now not so much.
Anecdotal evidence aside, I'm pretty sure their post i16 AE datamining has been very revealing to them. -
It would never happen, OP, regardless of the immense possibilities.
For one, a good number of vocal forumites will always burn the idea in effigy before it gains any traction (change of that order is an unwelcome outcome to them).

Let's see, when I add up all my Cryptic Bucks purchases and Lifetime subscriptions.. ahh yea.
Me and my wife have two accounts with everything purchasable on them plus a couple extra copies of the game I bought for friends years ago, but it doesn't seem like that much when it's rounded up. -
Nice guide Silas, I have a fire/dark corr so I know what you're talking about, all those glorious numbers dotting above from tar pit, rof, bof, and fb, a pure damage machine.

Quote:It's more about justifying teams where more than 2 members are Tankers. Any time I have been in this situation, the kill speed drops way, way low, and it becomes evident that dropping one of the tanks for ANY other archetype would be an effective switch.
Is this JButane?
This is actually a common argument volleyed about around here through the years, are tankers relevant, are they detrimental to the game, and so on.
And you've evidently teamed with some poorly slotted/played tanker verities, maybe lower levels, per your pool of experience.
In fact there's nothing, and I mean nothing, as fun and filled with pure smashing carnage, then a complete team of well slotted, well played tankers.
Go to any Tanker Tuesday event, like others have said and see for yourself, if you haven't.
Also:
Shield charge, footstomp and fireball, with good recharge slotting, will kill a mob faster then basically any power combination except a blasters nuke. -

In the spirit of the festivities, I shall bring my large bag of coal in place of the mace, to swing around at the vagrants and little children.
Sounds fun.
