Bout what I expected. Or rather, what I hoped. Didn't hold any delusions it'd be a 'good' film, but at least wanted it to not suck (Like MIB2).

Quote:You're missing the point. I'm saying that what the end of the story we got isn't necessarily the same as what was planned from the very start. Tyrant fell, yes. But don't believe that the end was always written like this or the path of the story was followed to the letter.I'm pretty sure that the Magisterium Trial counts as making it to the end of the storyline
The devs have been on record saying fans were displeased with the praetorian story so they're wrapping it up. That right there says that plans didn't go as originally laid out. -
Quote:Knowing what the ending is and actually making it -to- the ending are very very different things when it comes to writing. Things changes often mid process. So it's rushed and drawn-out?
And it's totlaly not cobbled together - they work several Issues in advance, and GR was created along with the Praetorian war storyline - when they were working on the Precinct 5 tutorial, they knew that Tyrant and the loyalists were going to be defeated at the climax of the story. -
I think part of the problem is that besides just having general access to a lot of these things, VIPs can 'earn' some of them just by maintaining the subscription. Case in point, the archetypes. By filling up, I believe T4, in paragon rewards you perma-unlock Controllers and Masterminds, so even if you drop to Premium you don't have to purchase them.

It's perfectly fine to have an opinion. No one is saying anyone's opinion is wrong. It's simply that some opinions make one seem like entitled whiners wanting 'better' free stuff. When, you know, it's free.
-
Big thumbs up on the Archetype unlocks. I mean, only good for non-vip folks, but still, those're some killer deals for prems.

Quote:That is entirely a matter of opinion. It's grand and epic, yes. The best? That's debatable. Then again, compared to what passed for ongoing stories before? Yes.
It's one of the best and most impressive parts of the whole game - one huge story arc that goes from trying to turn in your Powers Division badge in the tutorial to smashing Tyrant into the dust in I23, using every game mechanic available to tell the story.
I still say Praetoria feels more like a grand experiment that didn't work out and is promptly being boxed up. -
Ahh yeah looking back at his address he said 24 and 25. 24's content will involve some praetorian wrap up though

Yyyyeah. Being a veteran of 8 years and having all the extra goodies and benefits and experience that come with it, maybe you should consider something.
Freebie Friday is not being targeted at you.
There are plenty of free and premium players I'm sure are digging the 'useless' goodies that they normally wouldn't have access to by the bucketful. -
Quote:Yeah, you're getting exclusive access to a costume set before it rotates out in 9 months so no one can get it....I really hope the dev's get a handle on T9 VIP releases soon.
We got Celestial in i21, September 13, 2011;
We got Fire & Ice in i21.5, January 10, 2012 - Almost 4 months later;
We're getting Mecha June 5, 2012, almost 5 months later.
See a pattern? -
Quote:Way to be condescending. It's still a dorky naming convention.Only in your time zone.
Freebie Friday is based on GMT, not your local time. See, funny thing is that the game is accessible globally, and there's no way to have it automatically detect what time zone someone is located in whenever they log in, so they went with the default time zone for the whole planet. The world is much, much bigger than the town/county/principality/district you live in after all. Neat, huh? -
Yeah kinda disappointed at the date. Aside from getting Hybrid in ship shape, which people won't be happy about regardless, the issue has been pretty much finished for the past few weeks. But oh well. That's only a week and a half really, the wait won't kill.

Quote:Considering the decades it's taken to build up that small list? Yes. It is a SMALL list.It was an interresting read, but then it got me thinking. What is the percentage of gays. Doing a good search it looks like it's figured to be 2% (but could be up to 5%).
So, with those numbers, article seems to say gays are under represented?
Mystique, Rictor, Shatterstar, Karma, Batwoman, Renee Montoya, Northstar, Rainmaker, Destiny, Vodoo, Bunker, Hulkling, Wiccan, Xavin, Midnighter, Apollo...there's just a small list.
Which, going by the 1940's estimate of 10%, they seem to have fallen in line with estimates.
So where exactly is the under representation?
Though he has a point, with all the changes they did make, why not just change one character to gay in the beginning if they can just come out and make all those other changes. -
Yup. They become inherent powers. I use beast run on a lot of my characters and usually just leave it running on itrials because of all the buffs flying around I never have to worry about endurance

Yeah I'm hoping I23. I've been getting antsy for the new shinies.

Quote:Er, no. Actually that's entirely what the panel was about. They picked a power set that fans presented and hashed out a sketch of it. It's confirmed to be in the pipes now and will be made at least before anything else that was suggested at the panel. But Rad Armor is a lock, it's getting made.Just cause Rad Armor was the "voted" (<--LOOK QUOTES) on set at the player summit does not mean it's going to be made. Watch the U-stream they tell the process. It does mean it's more likely then [enter random made up power set] but isn't a lock.
To avoid confusion, I'm talking Rad Armor... Bio Armor will come out. And I doubt we'll get 2 Melee armor sets in one year. Maybe 4 animal travel powers, but not 2 melee armor sets.
Last
Edit: I think it'll cap toxic RES.... just a guess -
Quote:You clearly haven't read the Dark Knight Returns.Look at the freaking chin on Batman! When did Superman become Batman!? Other than that one awesome cartoon episode from that series I can't remember where Superbatman kicks the crap outta Bane et al.
Seriously DC, your animated stuff is great, but if those chins get any bigger you're going to have to start widening the doors in Gotham/Metropolis.
Semi-kidding aside, I do look forward to this. -

I dunno, I always wished I could swap out the /range in Positron's Blast for more /recharge. You guys are welcome to have it
-
What the hell are you people talking about?
There's never been a movie made in the 'series' past Highlander 1. You're crazy to imagine otherwise. -
Start with a gateway comic. Like Watchmen. Or Sam and Max.
