This time is not one of them. 'Because it clips' is an excuse (yes, excuse, not a reason) that is as old as Statesman's underwear. And it STILL hasn't stopped pretty much every costume piece to date, the vast majority of which can and will clip with a variety of other pieces. Hell, certain female shoes still clip with the feet they are on. If that's not double-standards I don't know what is.
I am with Tech here, this is one of those times where it sounds more like and excuse than a reason. I guess the smart thing to do (this is directed at you marketing) would to have been to tell us ahead of time the items that would not work, and that we were not getting. Either way there would be complaining, but it would have been less time with us getting our hopes up.
  2. Well, I did manage to find a good use for the Kilt.

I maintain the Long Skirt would have looked even better.
  3. Ok, I can see where the big hat and the long skirt would clip. That I can accept, and see where the Long skirt would play hell with the MA and StJ animations also. For the live of me I can't figure out what the strapped gloves, and the spiffy bejewled belt would clip with.

Well, I can see for story reasons why not to give the belt. The strapped gloves though?

What is more likely the case is that the pieces in question clash with over 20% of the other pieces in that area (cutting through geometry, in general looks really bad). In these cases we reserve the right to withhold these pieces in order to maintain the good looking characters you guys are capable of.

Not an answer that will make everyone happy, but we do our best to ensure that a vast majority of our costumes, current, past, and future, work with everything else. Not everything will fit the bill, and just work with one or two other pieces, but that is a situation we work hard to avoid in the first place. Sometimes a look just has to win out though, and the piece gets made anyway. It's just that we work under slightly different guidelines when concepting and making parts for an NPC group than we do for PC costumes.
Thanks for posting this Posi, I am always happy when you step in to answer a concern.

The answer however is one that is already used. Make the items that clip exclusive from the rest of the creator. It is not like this isn't already done.

Not going to lie, I am disappointed because the one item I wanted (The long skirt) is not in.

From what I can tell (as I can't log in) we only get the short skirt, and not the long Death Mage skirt. The more I think about this, the more annoyed I become. It seems they are holding back the parts people were most interested in. I would be willing to pay a higher point cost for the long skirt, and the large glove option.
  6. I will admit another 6 hour down time today is a bit annoying.

And why should they? There are all of 3 people on these boards who think they should hold back costume items for NPCs. The signature characters I can get behind, but not the common mob that I can kick the *** of every day to take their stuff.
  8. The lack of the long skirt, and the larger glove option sucks. It seems the crappy trend of the NPCs getting the best parts continues. I am beyond annoyed at this. The thing is I would have been willing to pay extra just for that long skirt option.

It was stated that all of the new CoT parts were designed with players in mind, so why the **** didn't we get the most requested parts?

    Agreed.
  10. It was pretty good, but the budget looks insane.
  11. I also think a new board dedicated to the store and items in the store would be great.
  12. The scrapper boards are extremely active, and I would hate to see it merged with any other at board.
  13. Yes. This seems to have what I was looking for in Human Target, but didn't find. I will stick it on my DVR.

SR REALLY blooms in the 30s, but can be painful before then. All scrappers and brutes have good damage output, but /WP and /Invul tend to be the best out of the box sets. As a new player I would suggest /WP.

The people on the scrapper boards are really friendly and helpful, even if you are not playing a scrapper. Brute players and stalker players regularly go there for advice also.

For solo play, nothing beats a Scrapper or Brute though.

Right, new releases. Honestly, there isn't a whole lot I care about between here and Titanic Weapons. The closer this gets, the less interested I am about anything else. Street Justice, when that comes out, will go a great way towards holding my attention just because I have a very cool concept for it, but ultimately, I want my Titanic Weapons. And I hope there's a decent glowing and/or energy tech sword in there, like bAss made a while back. Fingers crossed.
Sam, I find it hard to believe that you are not excited by new costume options. Shoot, I am as excited about new costumes as I am new powers. I am banking points for fear that I will not have enough to buy one or the other when they are released.

This is where I stand also.

I am not expecting to get Titan Weapons this year, but I would LOVE to be wrong. I agree about Street Justice though. I think they are holding on to it till f2p goes live and new f2p accounts can be made.

Honestly what I REALLY want is the CoT costume set. I sadly don't expect to see much till 21.5 though. :/
  18. My Kid's account was reactivated as a premium account last week. I would not want to play as a low reward premium. The VIP is a far better deal if you are under t7 rewards. He did a respec and lost all of his IOs, and is now begging for me to get him an IO license. I am pretty sure after that he will ask me to replace all of his lost common IOs.
  19. So, last week we got the first of the sig story arcs. Exciting for some, not so much for others.

This week I am again hoping for Street Justice, or more costume options. I have also realized that Powers and Costumes are about the only thing that are going to get me to part with my points.

I did purchase the new aura last week, but have no characters that I want to use it on. I may need it at some point though, and it is better to have it in reserve.
  20. Mids is a life saver. Respecs really are not hard to come by these days.

Many of the threads on these boards are pointless GG, but people still need a place to vent. It is what it is, I don't blame anyone for their opinion. What I hate is how some choose to express that opinion.

Sure I am talking about the same game? You can PM me if you want me to name it. It has a free version, a cash store, and a pay monthly option. Seems hybrid to me. I know Warforged came with my box purchase, so it seems like I lost something when I attempted to play it for free.

As is, it would be a bad business plan to give everything to premium players. I have enough Paragon Rewards that I have all of the Celestial set, with tokens left over. All I really lose if I drop is a few character slots, and Incarnate stuff. They really are the carrot to me.

I am staying VIP till the servers are shut down, so it matters not to me. I just think it is a bit immature to expect premium to have access to all of the same things that VIPs have. It seems very "cake and eat it too" to me.

Yeah, this is incorrect. I can name one where I lost a race that was part of my initial purchase.

    People truly astonish me sometimes.
This covers what I was thinking.

    I think you are correct.
