On it's own, the set is damn good. Combined with certain other sets, there is absolutely the possibility of being too damn good.

Oh, and the AoE radius on Spinning Strike is low because it's a melee targeted AoE power. You perform a spinning roundhouse kick and go immediately into a spinning backfist; range isn't going to be much different than your standard melee attack.
I also tested it extensively, and have to agree with GBE has said. It really did walk the line.

    Game cancellation surveys?

Or is it better to vent and seek commiseration with your fellows?
This is far to logical for the internet.

    Sounds like it.

It is getting old. I was going to log in and buy more points, and the servers were down...

Yeah, annoying. I also hope this is not going to become a daily thing.

I like calling it StJ. That way it also looks like Saint Justice, which sounds very superoheroish.
  6. I wanted to pop back in and add to this topic. I really want to thank Posi for posting here. While I did not particularly like what he said, I am still grateful that he cared enough to say anything. I also think we are near spoiled because of how great our Dev team is. Any other game I have ever played would have just not commented, and expected the players to suck it up. So, Thanks Posi. It means more than you know to a lot of us.

I still want the rest of the CoT costume items, and I am still willing to pay for them.
  7. Pre-payed visa, or any other card type is the way to go.

Or they are still in the process of porting them over.

I am also pretty sure this will be the case. Which as I said before is fine as long as I get them.
  10. If it requires another pack to get the rest of the parts we want, I can live with that. To me that is better than not getting the parts at all.

I do not disagree at all.

Not just there. I am in NC, and after a stroll through Wal-mart I told my wife that before long we would be wearing Fig leaves again. It is just a social trend I guess.

But females get the awesome clock belt, so I have no pity for them.

My wife likes to make very conservative character costumes.
  14. I would say they are represented as petite because that is how they are mostly represented in comics. The game only followed the comic book example. There are female characters in comics who are not petite, but they are the exception, and not the norm. The game does allow for that representation for female characters.

That is one of the great things about this game, the costume creator allows for almost any representation of any character.

Now, as long as you have guys making female characters, you are going to see more skimpy costumes. I personally do not play female characters, but I do know guys who only play female characters because they find them more pleasing to the eye.

I have a wife, and three daughters. I have enough women in my life without adding another in an MMO.

I also have a 14yo son, and there have been times in this game where I almost felt the need to cover his eyes. I am betting in most cases costumes like that are designed by male players. I however assume everyone on the internet is male, not matter what they say.
  15. I think this may be a politically touchy topic.
  16. A lot of what Sam just posted is the reason that it appears the Devs keep the best costume items for their NPCs. It sucks.

I really do expect a second pack that offers the more advanced parts, and I am fine with that, as long as I don't have to wait till next year for it.

Now i understand you have to limit new and vet players, but locking out /whispers and majority of trade, while letting them have acces to /help channel.. this aint working.

Help was being spamming by retarted WoW kiddies, rofl n00b people and a huge discussion about AE versus 'normal gaming', while nearly every question from new/returning players was ignored.

Serious there need to be some moderation on these channels, the 'helper' tag is worth _nothing_. People just randomly reply to questions, useless trolllike replies, other people just spam away or tell them to l2p the game.

Helper title should be earned, but should also be very known among new players, so they can rely on the answers, telling people to go 'hunt fake nem in PI' if they ask where to go at 21, is just sad.

I probably gonna disable help on most of my toons, this aint what i wanted to see happening to 1 of the best communities out their, hell even Barren chat is more civilized.
Personally, I think if you list yourself as a helper it should open you up to tells from anyone.

    This.
  19. The more I think about this, the more I expect there to be a second and perhaps third CoT costume pack with the remaining costume items. Perhaps a CoT Lt pack, then a CoT boss pack. This would also given them more items to aid with the whole add something new ever week statement.
  20. There were a few people in that video that I know personally and are friends on Facebook. The video also reminded me of why I don't go to D-Con.

I can live with this. I would buy them as soon as they hit. Because of the amount of items in the set, I could even see that being reasonable. However, based on Posi's post I am not expecting a second CoT set. This is another spot where I would LOVE to be wrong.
  22. I did purchase it, and there are several items I will get use out of. I am still not as happy as I could be though. This could have been an out of the park hit with one or two more items in it. As I said, I can understand the long skirt not being it, but the other items like the hat, cool belt, and the strapped on gloves not being in there is just frustrating.

Honestly if they do a CoT pack 2, I will still purchase it. I do think I will get my monies worth out of it, but...well it still feels like the really good stuff was removed for no good reason.
  23. Also, no large strapped gloves, and no long skirts. You may want to migrate the discussion already being had to here.

Thanks for the comments on the costume.

I agree with this, the reworks are something they could make some poor intern do. If it passes inspection, stick it in the game, if it fails move on.

Again with the strapped gloves though, they are no bigger than the Ascension gloves, yet those are in the game.

The problem here is that this is a set that people were really excited about, and it seems to have been excessively trimmed before it was given to us.

I know I would pay for a way to get rid of the glow on hasten, or different FX for it.
