Changing the Numinas to Doctored Wounds might be better. I just threw in the largest Heal enhancement. My two goals were survivability and sustainability, in line with my earlier post about those. I'll probably fiddle with it some more, even though I doubt I'll actually make an Empath.

Here's a defensive build, slapped together in the middle of the night:

Quote:I used to use Founders via Pocket D (before the VIP Lounge), because you came out in a safe underpass and could swim the rest of the way.If you were going to Serge before travel powers you were Doing It Wrong. Cutting across KR to the Indy Port tunnel and playing tiptoe-through-the-mobsters up that one street is much quicker, and even a fumblefingers like me has only once managed to get killed doing it.

If by that you mean Healing Aura, Recovery Aura and Regeneration Aura, you're missing a pluralization and it isn't clear.
I'm not going to say too much about the builds because I don't play any Empaths, but I don't let my squishies out of the house without decent Defense and better Net Endurance Gain. -
My usual budget for IO set builds is two billion. By the time I'm sure about my "final" version I should be able to come up with that much, and spending more than I can carry just seems wrong.

Quote:That's handy. I see my one indiscretion is still on there. <.<

Quote:Also why smashing lethal when an emp really has no need nor should it be in melee range?Quote:I see you have a ton of recharge and that is nice but honestly you really don't need that much seems like overkill and an expense on a toon that doesn't need it.

Or have them do feedback damage, a little aversion therapy. <.<

Now if only they could teach players not to attack untouchable enemies...

I don't think I've played Regen since Willpower came out.
-
If nothing else, the Empath should be able to fight back in case they need to rescue someone, and would be under too much fire to survive doing so.

Quote:Whether or not it's a waste is up to the individual, but I found it entertaining to see what I could do (some time ago, not in response to this thread). Softcapped Defense vs all damage types but Psionic, capped HP and 95 HP/sec regen with permanent Earth's Embrace. Since I don't like teleporting or lumbering all the time, there's softcapped S/L Defense and 62.5 HP/sec regen without Granite and Rooted so I can Superspeed about. It was affordable enough that I don't care if it's overkill for most situations.Save your money and or IO's for a more gimpy tank. Granite doesn't need it, Maybe fire? or DA. But a granite tank with IO's would be a waste. IMO. Unless of course you wish to run without granite for the whelps you might encounter on a mission or to make things harder. Either way, if you're going Granite, why bother?

The Members List here shows 39 names containing "bliz", but none were an obvious answer. As has been said, though, you should get an email, and that gives you the opportunity to submit three new name choices for them to consider. You shouldn't have to rename the character yourself.
Maybe there's a GM_Bliz with whom your friend interacted before on a genericization case. <.< -

Quote:The true state of things was there, but you failed to read or understand it? That's your fault, not theirs. But if you skim an advertisement and form a complete idea of what the thing is they're selling based on whatever words are in the biggest font, and then you go and see it is *not* the thing you were expecting, isn't that totally the fault of the company?
Quote:There's the word FREEDOM and my account is called Free. Clearly that means everything in the game is available for free except some XP potions.
Where is the switch? Were you promised a free account but given a sack of rocks instead? I doubt it. -
Quote:You do find his body in a later mission. It's hard to feel bad about it.While we're on the subject of knockback, can we please kill Lt. Sefu Tendaji, like, for real? Or at the very least get him to turn off his damn Repulsion Field and stop using his Force Bolt so much? I know we're supposed to like the guy because he's nice and honest, but damn it, man! I'd like you more if you didn't try to "help" me! He's worse than Fiusionette. I know, she was in my previous mission.

Quote:Okay, if she meant henchmen, that is a different story. <.<As for the question on masterminds:
That's actually one place I don't argue with that change so much, such as was done with Lich's Torrent, for one simple reason - you're not *directly* controlling the bots. Yes, you're giving them orders, but they can turn and fire at something and knock it back in a way you don't want it to go. You can try to minimize it, again, with positioning. But they'll do things you don't expect thanks to the wonky AI. -

I remember once, somewhere, suggesting negative enhancements to reduce magnitude, in case you didn't like some secondary effect. Even though people brought up some potential problems, I still like the general idea.
