Yup...will be able to do over 700 points of damage with a single blast providing you have containment (which is fairly easy with /kin)

Very true...forgot about that 'cept the fact I would still not have it in my PvP build since in more or less every fight I've been in people have been speed boosted thus making them slow resistant
I can see the uses for it, but because of the long recharge I would probably go for other powers.

take the kin out of the game then a good kin buffin can take many controller powers out of the game but u shouldnt not take a power in case they have a kin -
would anybody from any server be interested in having a night either weekly or fortnightly on test server for 1v1s? there is a real shortage of people to fight on the same server in 1v1 and it wud be gr8 fun to fight some new people if any other servers are interested?

i agree with the first three, i'd have invul/energy tank and elec/enrgy blaster tho -

From what ive seen /storm would beat */kin or */rad. ( what i say is from personal exp) The -acc from hurricane sorts most kin out as they relyl on acc for most of their PvP powers. cant self heal -end etc if cant land a hit.
Rad again releyies on -acc but F.rain slotted with DefDuffs over powers the acc debuffs imo. as far as Primarys go fire imps are useless against a stormie even with ID. Ice primary slows yes but you get 2 good slows with storm with F. rain and snow storm. Worm hole from grav Primary lets you keep most foes -acc and away from things like hot feet. Illu pets can be a problem but if u let them spawn their pets 1st its not hard to stick your sing in the middle of em to take the aggro. Mind can be a problem with TK but then again worm hole can be a great counter to it. Grav/storm ftw!!. All that said and i dropped worm hole from my build for some stupid reason

ok but the point i was trying to make is that across the board i believe fire/kin can make mince meat out of more builds than any other build. yes grav/storm can beat fire/kin as u demonstrated but invul/energy can beat grav/storm just as easily and fire/kin can pwn invul/energy. any build can beat another but imo fire/kin can beat and stand up to more builds than any other

Kinetics has to hit with its buffs, debuffs and heals, Rad doesnt, apart from its slow.

ok except i hardly ever miss unless i'm debuffed, was discussing this with a mate and the great thing about /kin instead of /rad is u can give imps SB and ID, making them unstoppable killing machines an aoe stun/hold attack wud put /rad's imps out of the game leaving u wide open... -

it is indeed expensive but u have to take into account its one guy drawing, inking and colouring your picture and he can only sell it to you. with a comic they have individual drawers, inkers and colourers so each picture can be finished a lot faster and can then be sold to multiple customers. considering the time and effort he takes I think the prices are actually pretty reasonable -

Is there a lack of love for the Ice or Earth sets? I'm playing an Ice/Kin controller, and at level 24 am quite easily soloing on Invincible, although due to other reasons I haven't taken Stamina, so there is the odd minute of downtime now and then. A friend who made an Earth/Kin also solos happily, we had originally planned to team with each other to 50 (along with her bf who made a Fire/Rad to join us) but she's levelling an alt right now, so I'm just out and about.
Actually, I think I have a pair of Ice/Kins (16, 24), a Fire/Rad (6), and a Ill/Emp (50). The 50 was an accident, so I don't really count him, and the Fire/Rad I'm hoping to build into a bit of a stalker hunter (eventually), and is a lower priority.

i love the ice and earth sets however this thread is on solo trollers and for solo mind, illusion and fire are a lot faster to rip though enemies, earth and ice are awesome sets but only really shine in teams imo -

I'd go with the majority here. Illusion/Fire + Rad for a powerful early / mid build. You can spend your teens cleaning out masses of mobs in Boomtown and the like. With Fire I'd be harvesting masses of Blue/Green minions, with Illusion maybe avoid Hazard Zones and take on smaller groups of Yellows/Oranges, esp Lieuts and bosses.
Post 38 Kinetics is the Damage king, but you've to get to 38 first . Also as I've said before soloing kinetics seems like such a waste thanks to Speed Boosts. The SB love really should be spread around.
