I wouldn't say that blueside doesn't have to jump through hoops for it's pools. I mean, that's one way to look at it, but redside has access to them all too. At 35 anyone will have access to the 4-5 APP pools for their AT. But redside can access extra pools if they go to the trouble of it.
And.. I've yet to switch sides to do it. If the character is a villain they'll do the arcs. If they're a hero.. they deal with having just the APPs.
Some of them could stand to be better though, especially for certain ATs.
The coffee talk today though hinted that there might be something coming in I24 for pools, both the basic power pools and epic pools. -
Lore out as soon as the 300 count begins to kill faster.
Kill (dogpile) Chimera first because he will teleport around and can stall things. Pendragon and Shadowhunter can be herded together usually to nuke with mass AoE fun.
Then just kill kill kill Swan as soon as you can.
That's about how we did it on Victory anyway, took a couple tries cuz, ya, the timing can be iffy and people dying loses the lore pets. -
They are.
Only the paragon rewards will be phasing out which ones you can buy with spare tokens if you're VIP level 9.
Otherwise they're remaining in the market as normal. Heck, they're even on -sale- this week. -
If that. It's a recolor of the Beast Mastery wolves or the german shepherd depending on how you want to look at it.
And given how much use the 4 legged rig has gotten since I22, I think it's safe to say it paid for its development time and cost. -

Didn't one of the Massively articles say King's Row is getting a facelift? I thought some interview mentioned it.

Knockdown/knockback is a very dramatic way of showing you're hitting someone very hard.

Quote:I -believe- the twitch.tv stuff is not stored -on- twitch tv, but are later uploaded to youtube.I don't see where to watch the coffee talk on twitch.tv is. Or do they no longer save the talks?
And here it is:

Well really seems like I24 is going to involve a lot of overhaul work. Goodies on pools and probably a couple zones being revamped.
Gonna guess it'll hit beta in a week or three. -
Not to stir the pot, but the devs spoke on the coffeetalk this week about stuff happening with pools, which was kind of hinted to involve both normal pools (5th powers) and epic pools.

Quote:You're doing that 'reasonable' thing again.I get not wanting to spend money for the chance at an item. I'm not going to argue about whether or not this should be considered gambling as I believe it's all a matter of personal perspective and the value that you personally place on the items that are included in Super Packs. If you're only after specific items and only place value on said things, I can understand how you would feel adverse towards the packs.
What are some things to consider?- We're going to continue making Super Packs in a responsible way. We believe that part of the success of the first series of Super Packs was the fact that we collaborated closely with the Community during their development. Did we completely agree with every single point given by the Community? No. Did we compromise and rethink several aspects of the original concept of Super Packs? Absolutely. Things like making ATO's able to be acquired in game, making Catalysts drop in game and allowing Super Packs to be purchased with Reward Tokens are all examples of player feedback directly resulting in positive change.
- The success of Super Packs directly contributes to our ability to continue to make new content, both free and in the Paragon Market. Believe it or not, not everything we release in the Paragon Market is profitable, from a development standpoint. They may be popular with a segment of the population, and great QOL improvements, but that doesn't necessarily equate it being considered successful from a business standpoint.
- We're not closed off to the idea of making costume sets from Super Packs available via an alternate method, however it's going to be some time before we offer it. We've made this statement regarding things like the Tier 9 Paragon Rewards, and the same is true about Super Packs.

95% of the game is solo'able. You have an incarnate solo path. Every new arc added is solo'able.
A once a year team up event with 3 other people is not breaking the bank. And you'll be able to get the IO's via the market when they fix it. -
-
it swings both ways though. As long as the set is convertable then you could convert the procs if need be.
-
Oh yeah. That IS pretty odd.
Ok, they should definitely be able to burn 3 converters to convert within the same set, that's just silly not to. -
At a guess, it's because they're a completely unique category. What would you convert it to? Can't be normal IOs, they're attuned. Could be ATOs, but that's really their call and we can see what they chose.
-
I never said it wasn't a gamble, just that there's no chance you pay and get -nothing-. You will always get items from the pack. Just not necessarily the item you want.
-
Well they said when it was still coming out it was going to go for like 2 weeks, but now they're opening it 2 weeks earlier so, possibly an all month event?
...and nothing is stopping you from collecting them now and then trading them after it gets fixed. -

There's still the stipend.
And the super packs are still very 'new'. I imagine the first round will get retired eventually and when they hit that point we'll see the exclusive items offered elsewhere. How long that will take though is anyone's guess.
