Ha, that would explain it. Ducking in literally as it shut for maintenance...duurrr
-
FF gen also requires targetting the ground, which is very annoying.
-
Logged into Union a second ago, was editing SG settings when I got a pop up saying Forcibly disconnected from the servers.
Next I try to log in, and Zukunft is greyed out, and I cannot connect due to an 'Unrecognised Log in manner'(?)
Now Defiant is greyed out. And no login.
What the hells is going on? -
In Paragon, NPCs IO YOU!
NPCs dont have sets, in all seriousness. They dont work that way. Their badass comes from unslotted hax. AV status is pretty much like having purples in every power. -
Only a few self rezzes grant 10 second immunity. Awakens sure as hell don't, and while some rezzes have a built in damage or stun element, its not enough to stop whatever stomped you the first time doing so again.

Quote:^ There is this as well.Okay, I sort of understand where you are coming from... but looking over the past recent history of launched "major" MMO's like Dungeons and Dragons Online, Champions Online, WarHammer Online, Tabula Rasa, and so on, there's been a trend for MMO's to promote features they don't have, or talk about things they won't do, or will change at a later date. NCSoft's been pretty good since the Tabula Rasa and Auto Assault debacles about not over-selling a product.
A lot of information went out at HeroCon, and there's a distinct possibility that was the the extent of the information that NCSoft's marketing felt comfortable with revealing that they could absolutely deliver on time in a retail package.
Given the trend of the gaming industry as of late to promise the moon and deliver a bare bottom, I'm much more comfortable with the discrete information releases thus seen so far on Aion and City of Heroes. Perhaps other games could take notes.
The Devs are very good at, when talking to us (which is great, as well) they do tend to be answering fully (when allowed), and they tend to deliver. -

Dual Pistols/Reflexes, please.
Oh, and Blast/Armour in general. Hell, an Armour/Blast AT would be cool. Walking tank. -

Quote:^ Sums up nicely, really. At least the rez does damage and...stun? I think? Unlike WP where you just get up again...and probably die again.The powerset itself strikes me as something that shouldn't have made it past beta. The devs should've taken another look and said 'Hmm... Well, why don't we work on this a bit more?' and then release it later on.
My biggest complaints about the set:
- No KB protection. I don't need to elaborate on that.
- Completely hides the costume! CoH is famous for it's costume creator, and this set just neuters it.
- Intense NEED for toggles. 4 toggles for defense, 3 offer some sort of Aura.
- Lack of decent auras: Damage vs. Endurance; none of them are worth it. Sorry to say.
- Dark Regeneration, as mentioned, heals for about 300% of your health. Would be spectacular if it mattered. :P
- Soul Transfer - Good idea, but we don't need more sets that have a Tier 9 that requires you to die.
Seriously, I still do not get the things like KB holes in armour sets. I mean...why? Just why? -
Life's not fair.
You've not been Heroing hard enough!
Either that, or you know you're doing well as a villain
-
I don't get why people are getting worked up over the Accolades.
Except for the VERY annoying fact that villains, for some reason, cannot get epaulets without damn spikes on (rewarded for the TF Commander accolade blueside);
ALL the rewards are the same. Different names, different art; same rewards. Sure, you can't get double. So you just have to be even to everybody else. What a crying shame.
Broken? No. Not at all.
But I wish they'd give us the damn epaulets redside. I despise how damn hard it is to get certain options redside in comparison to blue. -
Quote:In that case, kill stuff until you're level 4.Actually, I just started alts on a new server. I created a Stalker to go get the exploration badges so I can make the teleporters for my new VG. Stalker is level 2 running around trying to get the badges.
Found another power - Pocket D VIP Pass (teleport to Pocket D). Doesn't work at level 2.
Then you get Ninja run.
It's not broken. It's WAI. Deal with it. -
Short Answer: Soon™
Longer answer: We don't know. -
Quote:Incorrect.I think its overkill for mez protection, all you need is crab armour and fortification and you have more than anyone else.
From Mids;
Wolf Spider armour;
Status effects:
-2 mag Stun
-2 mag Sleep
-2 mag Immob
-2 mag Held
-2 mag Fear
-2 mag Confuse
Crab Spider armour;
Status effects:
-4 mag Stun
-4 mag Sleep
-4 mag Immob
-4 mag Held
-4 mag Fear
-4 mag Confuse
Fortification;
Status effects:
-8.3 mag Stun
-8.3 mag Sleep
-8.3 mag Immob
-8.3 mag Held
Combined:
-14.3 mag Stun
-14.3 mag Sleep
-14.3 mag Immob
-14.3 mag Held
-6 mag Confuse
-6 mag Fear
Also 1000% Sleep resistance, passive boost from the armours.
Fortification has no boost to Confuse or Fear effects. Also, the combined effect of the PASSIVE armours means that, as a little bonus, whenever you use awaken you don't need to wait for a Clear Mind, break free, etc. Small, but useful.
You can ALSO use the armours for dumping a -KB IO in, the one, horribly glaring hole in SoA armour. If you slot one in each armour and one in defensive training, KB will be as useless as everything else against you. Very useful. -
Uhm...Still not fully up to speed on the Lord Winter mini-zone bit, but...
Surely a Hospital is meant to be a safe zone?
That sounds broken to me. Very much so. -
Quote:Mez protection.Why wolfspider armour?
I'm sure you would do better with combat jumping, or aim, or TT Assault or pretty much anything else except CT Offensive (not great).
Stacked with Crab Armour and Fortification, the only hole is KB (for some non-sensical reason...)
Given this was only a build until 30, I left Tactics and Assault out of it till later since, solo, you'll want the damage output and shields first. They are nice, but not essential. And its less end drain to worry about.
@Bitt. Sorry, it wasn't as bad as, say, Invul without any of the toggles...builds do after all come down to personal tastes. But it was an instant Ohgodtherats as to why the build wasn't working out end wise
-
Quote:They can, and they can also get banned for it, because it's a breach of conduct, which you agree to every time you log in.In the end, anyone who dislikes what others are doing can do whatever that want ingame according to the ToS to try and stop/mimick/harass RP'ers or anyone they want. Similar to real life, you can't really do anything to someone who is making fun of you... except make fun of them back (they always have something embarrassing to knock on) or beat some a**.
For this reason alone I wish there were duel in this game. Oh well. -
Also, running the fighting pool as well as the standard stuff WILL give you quite some endurance crunch, especially when you pick up Assault and Leadership later on (you will want to, they are worth it, unlike the pool versions).
I forgot to slot in Steadfast, so whack that in Wolf Spider armour. Get the +3% def slot as well if you can, and whack it in there. You can also slot a Karma -KB into OT
efensive if you want, for a bit more protection. Either way, no need to slot anything passive with more than 2 slots of anything, unless it gives some obscenely good numbers. Or if you have spare.

Ok, this should hopefully help a bit;

You didn't take Stamina. Especially on something like an EAT, which all tend to eat end for breakfast, lunch and dinner; take Stamina. People go on and on about 'oh you dont need it if you slot right!' Horse puckey. Without Stamina or a LOT of IO investment, you WILL need Stamina, with the exceptions being Willpower and Regen. Since they have a built in, better version.
Hope that helps. My advice after 30 will be to get Omega maneuver, and then the two sets of pets. Trust me, those things are golden. -
Eww. Oh god. Gimme a second while I mash something up here...

Quote:It also requires an accuracy check, mobs, and is a monster in endurance consumption.If /invul can cap its S/L resist without getting into the fighting pool then /Signed
*General Statement about this post*
Yes, Invul has some defense in Invincibility and DA is mostly a resistance based set. However, DA has a self heal that recharges quicker than Invul's Dull pain and has -tohit.
Invul is an *all over* Resistance set, with higher numbers in S/L and some added defence in Invinciblity and Tough Hide. Dark Armour is...well, a mess? It has an offensive aura, a stun aura, a stealth/piddly defence toggle...It has sub-par numbers for pretty much everything else.
Oh, and the most ludicrous endurnace drain since MA/SR -
*grumbles and goes back to edit a few handbook pages*
Aryan. Kept spelling it wrong.
I think I'd agree that Praetoria seems more like a Faschist regime than the Rogue Isles. Although the Rogues do have dictatorial elements in it, its more of a unique mix than anything from this world. Well, that I know of, anyhow. -
