  1. I hate spiders.

By the way though, according to Wikipedia (with citations) Wolf Spider bites only cause mild discomfort.
  2. Honest question.

Does a Quad core have any real advantage over a Dual core currently.
Obviously eventually more and more thing will support multiple cores, but currently don't most only support two at max?

I'd guess yes. Models can't be changed since they would force a higher minimum spec. Having multiple models isn't really an option due to resources.

Most likely, see above. They'll cast better shadows though!

Unknown. The glass will at least have real reflections.
  4. Remember when upgrading anything, to make sure both your motherboard and power supply can take it.

Part of the "problem" is that there is a complete and total over saturation of MMOs. There's only so many people who play online games and are willing to pay a monthly fee.

I think the MMO market has just grown too fast. There'll be a crash and then we won't see any new MMOs for 2-5 years.

So the financial indicators are that NCsoft doesn't see CoH/V growing in 2010. Or even staying stable.

Maybe GoRo brings players back. Maybe Paragon Studios got by some soft numbers into NCsoft's financials on the back of Aion doing fantastically. But the Q4 financials painted a very interesting story.

    Edit: Nevermind, found it myself.
  7. I admit it, the mumbling made me lol.
  8. Ultra mode will make things look nicer while activated. Things like real reflections on glass and water and shadows cast by almost every object as well as a few other things.

If you could tell us your specs (Operating system, Graphics card, Processor, RAM, motherboard) we can help you out a bit more in depth.

She said "Psych" actually, which is a different word, said differently and means something different.

The reason I'm making a lot out of this is because there are still people out there that think "Sister Psyche" is pronounced "Sike"...

I think Jurrasik spawn at a higher level, but Jack in Irons is actually pretty beastly in the damage and regeneration departments. I'd say Jack has that fight.

    Caleb vs. Deathsurge
Both demons in their own respect. Havent fought either of these two myself.
I've still yet to face Caleb, but Deathsurge isn't really that strong and can be taken out without much trouble and I've heard Caleb is quite strong. Caleb gets it.

Hmm. I would say...Ukon'Grai is pretty damn tough. The Kronos Titan can be put down by a single team (Using the SF version as a base profile) whereas Ukon tends to be a matter of everyone focussing fire on him. Lusca comes into that group, so, disqualifying Rularuu for being that hax

    My votes;
    1 - Hamidon
2 - Crystal Titan (Untyped damage is NOT nice)
    3 - Lusca
    Runner up - Ukon' Grai
The Crystal Titan isn't particularly tough if you have plenty of Ambrosia though.
Hamidon is clearly at the top. I don't count Rularuu since he's not actually in the game.
Ukon'Grai holds up fairly well against several teams of heroes.
I'd say, Hamidon, Ukon'Grai and then Lusca.

  14. Golden Girl is correct in both cases.

Mirror worlds are not the same as alternate realities.
Doppelgängers have not been mentioned (officially) at all.
  15. After seeing the CoH2 thread I thought I'd post about something I've been thinking about.

I've often though it'd be cool to see more advanced AI in the game (or maybe a CoH2 in the future). One of my biggest problems is that all the enemies behave the same (more or less). That is, stand there are cycle powers.
Obviously, limits with the engine and the internet (only so much info can be forced down the series of tubes!) mean that these sort of things aren't currently possible in an MMO... but it always irked me that say, groups like the Council, Nemesis and Malta more or less behave exactly like Freakshow, Trolls and Vahzilok.

Now, I don't know a whole lot about military tactics, but they probably utilise cover, traps and hit and run tactics. Not standing in the open firing their guns.
So, I often though it'd be cool to see groups use cover and things like that to avoid our attacks.

However, now we get to what I'm really talking about. I don't think those tactics, in CoH's world would actually be realistic. After all, even the weakest defended Hero has bullets bounce off their skin and most can shrug of RPGs like they were a water balloon... any cover would become next to useless as the guy you're hiding from would just brave the gunfire and come get you.

So, what do you think would be appropriate tactics for fighting Super Powered beings and could they ever be implemented in a game?

Although I quoted PP, I was talking about Scythus but I realise how that'd be confusing. My bad.

I dont think it works the way you think it does.
We will see when it is time to test everything, but its still only 2.4 Ghz

Right now I have a i5 and it runs normally at 2.8 Ghz...

Just curious but what year was your gaming computer created?

Example: Can you play Crysis on High Settings on your current gaming rig?
(not saying you would want to, but could you?)
Additionally, I assume you have a 64 bit OS to take advantage of your 8 gigs of Ram?
  18. If you guys get these on your computers, lets see 'em.

    Seriously, I'm interested.
  19. On my Blaster... Personal Force Field.
Or, if I'm hugely surrounded but not actually dying, I'll sometime fire off Nova to make sure I stay not dying

It can "refract" but that's something else entirely.

    I'm gonna say "shooped".
