Quote:I try to use up all of my "extra salvage" every time I log in or it get full by getting as many empowerments as I have the salvage for. I track some of my stats in a little window. I used a grant invisibility one. and the little power indicators icons. It all went away when I zoned in to the trial.Really? *sigh*
I guess I suspected that so I never tried it. I also didn't want to accidentally still be in my SG base when the leader put us in the queue. Still... a disappointing revelation.
Quote:Do the Safeguard/Mayhem temps work? I didn't have an active one going into the trials so I'm not sure.
Quote:I really, really missed my raptor pack for the guns in Lambda but I eventually got the hang of teleporting from gun to gun without overshooting (it takes me 2 ports each except at the corners).

Once this is common knowledge, I guess there'll be no more joking with people that they need to adjust the flux capacitors on their flight packs so they will work in iTrials like mine. -
Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that the chat logs are saved in a sub-folder of your CoX folder. I don't remember which one offhand, but it's not too hard to find if you poke around.
-
an option under options is to log chat
then you may have to create a chat tab that reports the combat log
I think that works -
-
empowerment station powers are disabled, but their timers continue to run
-
Some temp powers gained through missions are available during iTrials.
I only know about teh ones which I have. IDK about all of them -
Quote:Bear in mind that these theories are not confirmed as valid and are generated haphazardly from random collection of anecdotes.Hmmm no wonder my SS/Fire brute gets V rares and rares without even trying.....
Also, there is supposed to be random element to the system and that we may be competing against each other as well.
So, according to prevailing theory, fwiw, you should bring your AoE heavy toons to runs full of single target toons and hope the random factor doesn't skew rewards against you. -
Quote:Pretty much, yeah.Done.
Build 1: Standard Bots/Traps, built to survive WW4 and destroy small continents like Asia.
Build 2: Petless/Trapless man build that primarily uses whirlwind, patron powers, and pulse rifle blasts to affect as many enemies as possible.
I'd build my brutes to have high recharge and as many AoEs as I could find. Building for survivability and damage output only as an afterthought.
Haven't done it yet cause I'd feel like a dick subjecting my teammates to it. But I am not all ate up craving the new powers yet either. -
Or we could all switch to an ITrial build.
Something I have been actively contemplating. -
Quote:They say [fwiw] that we compete against each other for rewards. So, if you would run with noobs more often, you may get better rewards.Wow, I don't know how you're doing THAT well Breog, but I'm still not far behind. I have a Dark Armor/Fire Melee tank, though, so I throw AoE like no one's business.
I've gotten one very rare, a bunch of rares, some uncommons and around zero commons. S'weird, I tell you.
Until we here from the devs [or Arcanaville], most of what we have to go on is a haphazard collection of conclusions drawn from randomly collected anecdotes.
I'd take it all w/ a grain of salt.
I have noticed that the rares and Vrs I have gotten came from times that I have skipped my bigger ST attacks and instead spammed my low damage and no damage AoEs and quick, small attacks.
But the plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not data.
If there actually is a competitive aspect to the system as has been theorized, it would go far, in combination with the random factor the devs have told us about, to explain various discrepancies in rewards v "performance." -
-
I don't know. I don't know if we're sure of anything really.
Arcanaville is sure of somethings that are NOT going on because how the data she(?) collected is distributed.
But the rest--besides what the devs said--is based on loosely grouped observations of anecdotal data points. -
Or her twin sister
Or she wasn't actually killed at all due to...
Or she is transported from an alternate reality...
Or... -
Quote:In this thread:Where did they say that? So far all I've seen is speculation by players, and my own experience has been overwhelmingly in favor of the rewards being random.

Reward System
Last, but certainly not least, we have been paying attention to your feedback and questions concerning the rewards from Incarnate Trials. Particularly, we understand the curiosity surrounding the way in which the Incarnate Trial Reward Tables are awarded. While were not going to give away the keys to the castle, heres a few points we wanted to share with you:
- As Second Measure previously said, the system rewards participation.
- The Trials are a group effort, so working together to complete the objectives of the event will provide a more rewarding experience for all members of the league.
- While there is an element of randomness, the system is not completely random.
- Dont forget that higher tier rewards can be broken down into lower tier components.
- We are actively monitoring the reward system to ensure it continues to reward players for their participation as fairly and equitably as possible.
- When a part of our community shows concern, such as Masterminds have, we will investigate the rewards and make tweaks as needed. In fact, you can expect to see some changes from the first round of metrics and feedback in an upcoming patch.

Quote:Devs say otherwise in re ITrials. The drops are based on a random number generator. That means they are random. There is no conspiracy against MM's.
Pyro_Master,
The consensus that seems to be forming is that AoE anything is helpful. Doesn't have to be AoE damage. It is said that affecting as many mobs as you can often as you can seems to be the trick.
But, who knows. Maybe it's all a case of confirmation bias. Idk. -

yes
9.99
idc any would be nice

highest tier incarnate powers?

fwiw, if Yan Qing wins, I really don't need any inf or anything like that.
Appearance in the acr is the neat thing. -
No, but Leandro (I think) had this issue. I do not know the resolution if any.
He, or someone in that thread which I can't find, suspected that there was some key combination that was making it occur and that it was some developer tool.
