Full disclosure. I have never built a stalker before. The new changes, and x2 xp have inspired me to take my lvl 39 nin/nin to 50 this weekend, and the butt ton of merits I have from super packs inspired me to do IO him out. Please help me.
I figured I wanted to build for positional def, which I have managed to soft cap w/o DA added, with DA it jumps WAY over the soft cap in melee. I really do not want to take the t9 in my secondary, I have a strong dislike of any power with a crash.
Here is the build I have so far, please tell me if there is something I can do better. My goad as I said was positional soft cap. I would also like to be able to take advantage of the new straight up combat capabilities instead of just the old hid/AS.
I have one power (flashing Steel) that I feel may be a wasted power, but it holds Oblit so I kept it. Also in Sting I have a full stalker ATIO set, but mids doesn't allow it yet.
And in advance, thank you so much for any help.

Quote:Would you accept their answer if they did?How is it valid? And I'm not specifically asking just you, and not trying to demean or belittle. Can anyone here honestly tell my why it's okay to be so upset that a powerset isn't coming out tomorrow?
New power sets are more fun than old ones to most of us. There are more people on during x2 xp which is more fun. Playing a new set that most of us solo tested to 50 with more people is more fun. People are upset because they will be having less fun than they would have had with a new power set. So, to boil it down, people are angry because they feel they are going to be having less fun and fun is good.
I am sure that answer will not be good enough for you though. -
I will be saving points this week. It really looks like with x2 xp this weekend they would have given us something actually cool, like a new power set.

-
Anyone else have any input? I hit 50 over the weekend, but I am not above a respec.
-
Really depends on if Staff is released tomorrow or not. If it is, well it is Staff/EA for the weekend. If not, I am not sure.

There is something missing with this build, and I can't put my finger on it. I have managed to soft cap most of it. The only real diff in what I am posting, and the actual build is there are 5 scrapper ATIO's in HB, not Kin Combats. Seems the positional should be higher, but I just can't put my finger on what I am missing.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have run this 7 or 8 times and I have never really found it hard.
-
I wouldn't mind ice armor either, if it wasn't so dang ugly. The set really needs an FX update.
-
Quote:That would make me happy, the set really needs more weapon models. I was fine with the sound.Hope they are keeping the set till April to do another pass on sounds and to ad a Weapon pack like they did with TW.
However, Staff Melee is in the game currently. We just happen to be on the receiving end of it, and not on the applying end. There are plenty of mobs out there whuppin butt with the power set.
Most of us who read the boards knew it was not coming at the release of i22, but knowing does not make it any less disappointing. Bottom line is the set is fun, really fun. Just like Street Justice was/is fun. So, I am sure we will see weekly calls for it, and lamentations when it is not in the store on Tuesdays from now till it is.
That is not a bad thing by any means. What is says is that the devs did a great job on the power, and have made us passionate about it.
For me, I just hope they release it before x2 xp weekend. It would really stink if they didn't. :/ -
Screw SS, give scrappers ninjitsu already.
-
Quote:Oh Staff Fighting is in this release. We are just on the receiving end, not the applying end.Trailer was a bit misleading. This issue really doesn't do much of anything at all involving Statesman's death, or will it involve Staff Fighting until way later. Would've liked to have seen more of the awesome content you guys churned out, and some more action shots of Dark Control that didn't involve that stupid dog power.
Still a good trailer, though. Just a little misleading. -
-
-
It would be nice if they would warn us when they are not putting things in that they have previously said would be in. No converters, and no staff melee. That is about everything I was excited about in this issue.
-
Thanks ZM. I had really hoped I could buy them in the store as in beta, and I can only hope eventually I can buy them there, and with Paragon Reward tokens also.
-
Quote:Purples and PVP IOs still need to be purchased there for people like me whom the RNG hates. My plan is to use converters to change my rare purple drops to something I can actually use. Also to convert all the junk ATIOs I have to Scrapper and Brute ATIOs, because those are the classes I play.I think a more adept metaphor would be "something to drive a stake into our crappy economy's heart." After a super pack bonanza I've barely had any use for influence at all. Now we can take any old enhancement and turn it into one we want? I shall now refer to the market as "the salvage dumping ground."
-
I can live with that. I would rather them be in the Paragon Market too. I have about 10k points and would love something else to spend them on. I know in beta we could purchase them from the Paragon Market too.
-
-
Did anyone catch the store cost of these, or if they are even going to be sold in the store?
-
I have 36 unspent reward tokens. I have no clue what I am going to do with them. I had spent some on xp boosts, and unslotters, but thanks to super packs I will never have to do that again. I guess I will wait and see what is on the tree after tomorrow.
-
-
Same here. Second would be Peter Themari would be second for the same reasons.
-
If it is Hero 1, I hope he gets a cooler looking sword.
