NYC is not a bad place. It gets a bad rep from TV and movies but in reality its nothing like that anymore.

Awesome Raid and on both runs looks like just about all teams got 2 bombs planted. Thanks again to 3D for hosting and to everyone for coming out and making these raids so great
-
Awesome Raid and big props to Gris and all his team leaders for making this a great raid. Smoother and faster than any I've ever been on and the first that I've ever seen succeed.
Thanks for herding the cats while nailing jello to the wall. Cant wait for the next one you guys run -
I'd be up for giving it a try redside.
I've got a widow and a pain dom/sonic corr I'll see what I can do with my wp brute between now and then but doubt she'll be much good. -
I havent had any issues with my mercs/dark mm. They've only gone off the reservation when I've put them in aggressive mode (as they always do) or when the target they are attacking trys to run away. Maybe its because mostly I keep them on defensive follow?
Someone mentioned controller pets and I havent noticed any issues with my gravity or plant pets.
Is this something intermittent? -
While I will still hope for Dragon Con but seeing as its the same time as PAX I will be throwing my vote out for New York Comicon.

Happy Birthday! Hope the day is as special as you are

Quote:Actually dragon con does have an MMO track and quite a following. The panel that was scheduled for City of heros during the last dragon con was standing room only and we didnt even have any official representation just some journalists as our panel leaders with no information fresher than what we the players ourselves knew from reading the boards. If there was going to be official representation and it was known well in advance i can see many east coasters making the trip to Atlanta for this opportunity making the attendence just for a COH Panel even bigger than it was last year.I am going to take a guess Tony and say they are coming to PAX specifically because the event has sold out with a very large number of people. And PAX is a gamer expo, its a bit more closely related to what Paragon Studios and NCSoft does.
Dragon Con by comparison is just a Sci-fi/Fantasy event AFAIK, does it even get a large focus on gaming? I don't seem to get that feeling from the Dragon Con website.
They're also expecting 60,000 people for PAX East. Thats nearly double the 30K for Dragon Con.
As someone who works for a company that both runs and attends major trade shows and conferences its not cheap to do, its very expensive. It costs you labor time, travel cost and whatever the space fee is. Its a very tough call for companies to choose what events are worth attending.
There is also tons to do in Boston, its a great city, wonderful mass transit and a lot of history. I've been there twice myself and barely scratched the surface. Atlanta is way to darn hot, especially anytime near summer. -
So now that yall have made the leap and managed to come to the East Coast does this mean we might get a similar style appearance at Dragon Con in Atlanta this year?

I've had no trouble logging into test while running windows 7.
I am running a 64bit version not sure if that makes a difference in any way but test is working perfectly on my end -
Happy Birthday!
I say this calls for a Birthday Task Force -
@3Deviant is going to be hosting a Ship raid on Friday 1/15 9pm Eastern time.
Teams will be filling fast so please get there early. For ease of the whole thing everyone is asked to bring toons that are 35+ -
Quote:Also keep in mind some people make use of the /hide function and hide from searches and so will not appear when you are searching.42 people found in LFT server wide, just me and 1 other player were in Peregrine.. I thought it was a mistake so I searched zone by zone, 6 Atlus, same for Kings, Steel had the most at 9. Pocket D even had less than 6. Pocket D on the second day of the chalet opening. Not a meaningless observation at all, and I'm sure that the Devs ARE aware of Triumphs population.

send an in game petition with all the details and they will investigate and take any necessary action. you will recieve a generic email notifying you they have recieved your petition and will look into it etc and that they cant divulge the results to you. So unless you see the person getting genericed you may never know the actual results but I would guess that a name like that would definately get hit by the generic stick
-
The whole idea is that right now server transfers are free till the end of January 2010 so by using the free transfers the OP got a free name change since if you move to a server where your name is taken you are automatically granted a free name change token

there are two other options. You can either pay pal them the amount and they can use pay pal to purchase it.
Or if there is a lot of trust between you they can give you access to their account and you can log into their account and purchase it for them that way. I have done both methods when wanting to buy a booster pack for friends and its worked out well -
Inspiration comes in many forms. From a conversation in one of my global channels I got a burst of inspiration and now have Double Standard on Victory
-
Creativity is key and sometimes just going for a bit of humor
Like my stalker Just Desserts or my Corruptor Blue Plate Special or my SoA Blue Law
I was feeling a little tounge in cheek when i made them and from time to time I will create a toon and name it something that will make me giggle ever time an NPC talks about me like Killer Hangover or Broadside of a Barn.
Another very useful tool for naming that hasnt been mentioned here is the Baby name books or websites. A lot of interesting names out there that are either available or give you inspiration for something else. -
For me the RWZ being open is great. There have been great teams run by my gobal channel where we were all levels and everyone got to run whatever toon they were in the mood to play at the moment. It was super awesome for 2xp and halloween event to be able to get everyone on a team and have a great time.
In my experiece as a Raid Team leader on Victory we found a lot of people got locked out because so many were in AE that many who wanted to participate in the raid were locked out. Anyone who is in the RWZ that is not participating in the raid is locking out potential raiders.
As for taking lowbies on the raid, its the responsibility of all team leaders to make sure their teams are active and no one is leeching. Before I16 it was a problem and it is still a problem with people just laying around waiting for a rez, or their self rez to recharge or to get the right drop to craft a wakie etc. Team leaders should be proactive and either be ready to kick said leeches from teams (I've seen level 50s do this so its not just lowbie behavior) and be prepared to just say no when there are low levels that want to join.
Sure there will be upset people and some will invite their low level friends anyway but team leaders are responsible for the make up of their teams and blaming the level restrictions for this doesnt help. There have always been leeches on raids and always people who prefer to remain on the ship dead rather than going to the hospital.
Take the AE out of RWZ it really has no place there but please dont blame the lack of level restrictions on problems with raids. -
If you look under annoucments just under where they announce the publish for today is a sticky with todays patch notes

the only thing that could make this more perfect is if it came with a long chinese style robe for my butt kicking martial arts scrapper.
-
ahh it was with many of the other things that went live so thought it would be going live as well.
-
hmm i looked at the live patch notes and logged into live and none of my toons have the option to walk. I've searched but nothing in the powers list that is dragable to the tray either.
