Quote:Yo, dude, put the guns down. She actually apologized.Wow. Literal much?
It's a metaphor.
You know what that is?
Pearl Harbor... surprise strike with no warning?
Like Aug 30... everything is fine and I24 is going to be released soon. Aug 31... we're shutting down the game.

What do you expect? What you're doing is the equivalent of going to a funeral and shi.tting all over the casket.

You must be ten types of absolutely retarded to think a tool that can let players create their own custom content is of no value in a game with no developers around to create the content for them.

Quote:I thought about writing something showing just how much stupidity you managed to cram into those two sentences, but I'm pretty sure you'd just completely ignore it. So I'll just drop this here, instead.God, you people crack me up. Nearly all AE arcs are pure and utter crap, and that's excluding the ones that are just farms.

There is one thing that's bugging me.
Why dafuq do they keep posting in the Announcements section of these forums when they know a good majority of us aren't VIP and can't post replies? It makes much less sense when Hit Streak just closed down multiple threads people started to discuss the announcement on other sub-forums. -

Quote:Here's a story for ya:
At some point in basic training for the Army I ended up having to carry 2 M16s, 2 ruck sacks and 2 duffle bags because one my my platoon mates wussed out and went to the medics. There I was, trompin along and growling when my squad mate looks up with bright eyes of realization and screams, "LOAD BEARING TROLL!!!"
That's all it took, of course, so for the next 2+ years I was Troll. When I got to college, my dorm buddies and I were all getting hammered and handing out nicknames. When my turn came up, I told them not to bother. "I've been Troll for two years, let's keep it going." It stuck.Quote:They're much more prolific these days. Evil_Legacy's forum name speaks for itself.
I've only ignored one person in my entire time on this forum, and they weren't even a troll, just a person who thought they were so hilarious which I found incredibly grating. I removed him from my ignore list on the day of The Announcement because it just didn't matter anymore. But now I think I've finally found someone worthy of that recognition. So bully for you. Now get off my thread. -

Statesman once saved my life. But then he dropped a Rikti dropship on my house immediately afterwards.

Quote:It is out, sorta. But, much like the Cybertech pieces, it's on the live market but not accessible for purchase. It'd require someone in the studio to switch them on so we can actually buy them, and since no one's allowed in the studio, that ain't happening. As far as Bio Armor, well we did get the next release of SSA somehow. Maybe the date for Bio Armor was predetermined and it will somehow make its way out. I'm gonna sit on 800 points never spent if it doesn't. I'd rather go down with the points than for it to come out and I can't buy it because I don't have the points.

Quote:Calm down.Oh ****ing come on. Seriously again?
They didn't have to mention City of Heroes at all. The only other times they bring up a game that older than three years that isn't 8bit is to make fun of Duke Nukem Forever.
As I said in the other thread:
I'm pretty sure people on these forums made Scott regret even posting about the SaveCoH efforts after pulling his message apart (just like is being done now). And Kurtz actually liked the game and had a connection to it.
I mean, FFS people. This and I'm considered a bad part of this community by most? -
Quote:Don't forget Dink. She actually changed costume parts based on our feedback, whereas most other devs have only told us "Okay, we'll take that into consideration for future items maybe." Porting over the jackets to females, recoloring the Celestial Armor, working so closely with players on both the Retro and Post Apoc sets, etc. Where David introduced the concept of working with players, Dink refined it and expanded on it.I have to single out David Nakayama for outstanding achievement. The man put up with so much **** from us, and his reaction was always "OK, I get that you don't like it. Let's try and figure out what we can do that you'll like better." Matt Miller may have been the one to make the "Give the players what they want." statement, but David Nakayama was the first and... Really, pretty much only developer I remember who actually sat down and ASKED the players what they wanted. My hat's off to that guy.

Quote:Valve doesn't own and hasn't created any MMOs. However considering a majority of the work is already done for them, they can easily pick up a few of the Paragon Studios' devs, and Valve know how to make a good game, I think they could manage pretty well. One concern about the idea of Valve buying CoH: I know Valve has a good reputation, but do they have any experience running MMO's?
Also I could totally see CoH-themed items for TF2. Statesman face plate for the Heavy, Manticore's Bow as a reskinned Huntsman, The Nemesis Staff as a wrench for Engie, etc. -

Bam.
TL;DR He'd grief players on one of Everyquest's No Rules servers by luring powerful monsters to them. This would piss people off and make them rage, despite the fact the server was all about not having rules and being free-for-all. He actually got in trouble for his griefing antics with one of the GMs, again, on this designated No Rules server.
