  4. If I read this right....

    Have a nice vacation !
  5. Update: I have added the following events to the calendar:

    Weekly Community Coffee Talks
Weekly Strike Forces for July and August
Freedom Fridays, part 1 and 2
    Weekly VEAT Madness

Also, anyone knows if "Thursday Night Fights" (PVP Event) is still happening ?
  6. Resistance Crusader Arcs: started on a DP/Traps Corr, went 6 levels before realizing that DP was not a set for me, rerolled into a WarMace/Shields Brute, steamrolled everything.

Loyalist Power Arcs: rolled a Demons/Dark Mastermind, no problems here.

Loyalist Responsibility Arcs: rolled a Bots/FF Mastermind (my favourite ex-Villain AT for soloing), no problems here.

Resistance Warden Arcs: wanted to try a Stone/Stone Tank, rolled one, had a ball...
  7. As posted here, I have agreed to take over the updating of the Protector Calendar.

Many thanks to Ura Hero, Stalemate, and all the other contributors to this project for all their efforts and dedication.
  8. The Protector Events Calendar lives on !

I have agreed to take over the updating of the Protector Calendar (https://sites.google.com/site/cohprotector/) from Stalemate, and this is to inform all of you of the changes that this "transfer of power" will entail.

    The Calendar can be accessed:

    * On its own Google Site:
    https://sites.google.com/site/cohprotector/ OR
    http://protectorvigilance.has.it

    * Via Google Calendar:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/embe...ctor@gmail.com

    * In other calendar managers via an ICAL link:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/ical...blic/basic.ics

    * Thru a RSS / XLM feed:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/feed...m/public/basic

If you have a website and would like to add or embed the calendar to it, this iFrame code may be of use to you as an alternative:
    Code:
    <iframe src="https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=events.cohprotector%40gmail.com&ctz=America/Montreal"
    style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no">
    </iframe>
If you use iGoogle or have a GMail account, you can add this calendar directly to your personal list.

At the moment, the calendar is maintained / updated by the following:

    Calendar updates:
events.cohprotector@gmail.com (calendar owner), Archiviste, Stalemate, Zaloopa

    Google Site:
events.cohprotector@gmail.com (calendar owner), Archiviste, Stalemate, StarGeek

If you are interested in promoting an event or a series of events or have any questions or requests, you can:
    * post on this thread, OR
    * send an email to the above gmail address, OR
    * send us a PM on the forums, OR
    * try to catch one of us in-game (my handle is @Archivist).

We will try to respond as soon as possible.

(As a side note, I still have to get in touch with Stalemate to fix the Twitter feed at @COHProtector: I know it is sending updates about events no longer on the calendar, and we need to address this.)

    Thank you for your attention.
  9. Best of luck with this.

I won't be able to join you since I do not have any 50+3 characters, but best of luck nonetheless.

    From ParagonWiki:

For PC computers, using the NCsoft Launcher the method is as follow:
    • Copy the shortcut (or make a new one) for the NCsoft Launcher.
    • In the copy, edit the properties so that the target contains the correct parameter for your account at the end. The command line should appear as:
      • If you have a North American Account: (path)\NCLauncher.exe /LaunchGame=CohTest
      • If you have a European Account: (path)\NCLauncher.exe /LaunchGame=euCohTest
    • Run the new shortcut
    • The NCsoft Launcher will prompt you for a path to install the Training Room client.
      • By default, the installation path of the normal City of Heroes game client is C:\Program Files\NCSoft\City of Heroes, the default installation path for the testing client is C:\Program Files\NCSoft\CoHTest.

    Taken 2 trailer

    Hummm, let's see...

"Man with extensive paramilitary experience/espionage training/mob relations sees his family threatened/kidnapped/killed for something he did before and decide to go on a rescue mission/vengeance spree"

... where have I seen this before ?....

Free to play and Premium accounts have two (2) Global Character Slot Tokens to apply to any server except the VIP-only server, Exalted.

Premium accounts also received extra Global Character Slot Tokens depending on a few things; in your case you have 3 extras, for a total of 5 if I understand you correctly.

In order to play all of your 10 characters, you would need to
    1) subscribe and become a VIP again (but I doubt that's what you want at the moment)
    2) buy more Global Character Slot Tokens at the Paragon Market - 5 slots would cost you 1600 Points (~$20 US) at the moment or you could wait for a discount sale.

Or... since going from Premium to VIP, or VIP to Premium, will re-lock all characters and give you back your Tokens, you could select 5 of them, play for a while, THEN pay for 1 month of VIP subscription, play with all your characters during that month, and once the month is over, re-select 5 different characters to play.

If you have played between 12 and 15 months previous, you should have 5 Paragon Rewards Tokens, 6 if any retail code has been ever applied to your account (i.e. you purchased the City of Heroes box or the City of Villains box, or the Mission Architect box, etc. - only 1 more token for all the boxes you bought).

At the top of the Character Select Window, you will see a line that says "Unspent Tokens". Clicking to the symbol next to it opens the Paragon Rewards window.

With 5 Tokens, you should have already access to Tier 1, 2 and 3:
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Paragon_Rewards_Program

Access to Controllers and Masterminds requires 13 Reward Tokens (Tier 5).

How to get more Tokens ? http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Reward_T...en_Acquisition

    1) Characters were not 'paid for': your subscription only gave you access to your account.

THEN: Sub = access. No sub = no access whatsoever.

NOW: Sub = full access. No sub = some access, more if you ever were a paying customer, less if you never were.
  16. Watched the trailer, not bad, but...

What's with the growling ? Is it Christian Bale under the helmet ?
  17. Happy Birthday !

    P.S. Great drawing, Layla!
  18. ... Iron Tendencies ?

    Sounds like a vitamin ad
  19. Dear P.E.R.C.,

    You say this:

    Quote:
    • Having previous base building experience is not a requirement; a variety of contestants will be chosen.
    But you also say this:

    Quote:
    • Contestants will be chosen based on creativity of their answers, passion for designing, and skill level.
    • Entrants may choose to link up to 3 screen shots of previous base work.
    Which, to me, reads:

You can enter the contest if you have no experience, but you'll have the chances of a snowball in hell to be selected.

I've seen these "requirements" in other P.E.R.C. contests so I assume it's some kind of boilerplate, but could you clarify this, please ?

    Thanks in advance.

I picked BaBs as well - and as soon as I entered the mission map with him, he was nowhere to be found ! No biggie, I took care of the problem all by my lone self... *cracking knuckles*

Apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed SSA2.1, for all the reasons listed above.

I enjoyed it so much, that it motivated me to finish up SSA1 part 3 thru 7. OK, now it's done and We Will Never Speak Of This Again...
  22. If you are in Atlas Park (which is the name of one of the neighborhoods of Paragon City), your first contact should be Matthew Habashy:

Go see him, he will have some missions for you.
