Bring Buffy into the Marvel Jossiverse.

Praetoria had a lot of items with odd draw distances. Most of those were reported and fixed in early Beta when the environment team was working intensely on the new tech (Ultra Mode and the lack-of-blue-wall-zoning trick). I guess a few billboards didn't get adjusted.

At least everyone will be forced to run the Magisterium iTrial until they get it down pat so that PuGs can speed it for the Astrals and Empyreans used to buy Purples and PvP IOs.

Quote:You mean inside the bank buildings which were almost always deserted (even on Virtue) even before the /vault command came into being? Or are you referring to the vault in my private SG Base? Those social spots? They should charge you a fee each time you use that command rather than running to the social spot in the game that exists for this purpose.

A solo movie for any of them would be a non-starter unless a lot of groundwork were laid. I'd rather they show up as supporting cast in the current slate of :2s and :3s and then an all-girl Avenger movie. Sort of like Charlie's Angels, but... good.

Quote:Since the email's Subject line said June 5 was when Celestial was being temporarily mothballed, I got big money on the 5th.With the newsletter goin' out sayin' the Tier 9 VIP bein' cycled over to Mecha Armor in June, that was a big heads-up that i23 was goin' to drop next month.
Then this caught my eye:
June 12th to June 18th - Pirate of the Skies (20-25) (from Silver Mantis in Sharkhead Isle) / A Clamor for the People (20-25) (from Penelope Yin in Independence Port)
With P. Yin replacin' Sis. P in IP for that TF in i23, this is pretty good sign that it's goin' to be either o' those two weeks.
Also, it is unlikely that they would make a brand new TF the WST the same day it's released... that's asking for trouble. -
The mind of Liefeld:
"I'm gonna draw a bright moon behind him. Let's see, since I'm looking up at him, the moon should be elongated, right? <draw, draw, draw> Hmmm... even *I* know that the moon doesn't look like *that*. <erase, draw over, erase draw over> Damn! Still not right. When you elongate the moon, does it close up like an ellipse or just keep expanding like a parabola? <shrug, erase, draw over> Damn, still not right. Heck with it, I'll make it into a spotlight. But doesn't a spotlight effect the character? No, this spotlight goes around the character, that's why I don't have to draw its effects on him or create a shadow. Let's see, on the white part of the wall, the spotlight obviously is going be bright white while the white wall is nearly black. And on the broken grey part of the wall, there will be little contrast... that's how lighting works, right? Yeah, pretty sure that's how lighting works." -
Quote:The I23 Patch Notes that has appeared on the Test Server strongly imply that Retro Sci-Fi will be released with I23. And also, that the new Tier 9 VIP costume set, Mecha, will also be released concurrent with I23. And since we know that Celestial is being temporarily retired on June 5.....There are two different rocket packs available, one is the single rocket, the other is the dual rocket pack. Each can be outfitted with or without the retro rings (I can't find the concept art that refers to the different options you refer to above so I'm not sure which was A, B, C, etc).
They are currently being tested on the VIP beta server and are expected to go live after Issue 23 hits, likely sometime in June. -
The global AH Slot unlocks makes using the AH with low level toons, or toons that don't have Field Crafter bearable.

Sure thing! We'll just get the janitor and receptionist to help with the animation, power balancing, costuming, and coding!! Coming right up!!!!

Quote:And I bet next week it will be on top again. Avengers is getting huge repeat business and continuing word-of-mouth drawing out folks who don't ordinarily see 'superhero movies.'Well, this weekend they weren't #1. But the fall-off from last weekend wasn't even 50%. That's actually fricking incredible for a movie in its fourth week of US distribution.
At Rotten Tomatoes, Avengers is at 93% and MiB3 is at 63%. I doubt MiB will get repeaters or lots of word-of-mouth business. -

Your mother doesn't have have The Best of the Carpenters nor Moody Blues' Days of Future Passed? Weren't they slipped under every door of those of a certain age?

Z.O.M.G.!! That was one of the most horrid things I've ever read. Just how many times was the author going to repeat the same facts over and over again? Ever hear of a topic sentence? I had to turn my head away the fifth time we were told they were nude before the tortured prose would cause me to vomit.

3% chance of something bad like that happening means that, on average, if a hundred people attempted that same thing, 3 of them will experience that bad outcome.
And then those 3 will come to the forums to wonder if something's wrong, while the silent 97% majority go about their business.
What this shows is how we pay special attention to unlikely outcomes, which, though unlikely, still do happen. Especially on a planet with billions of folks doing millions of things. This means that those one-in-a-million things happen all the time. And when they get brought to everyone's attention because of how odd or unlikely it is... then people think it's more likely that it is... or that if it's something bad happening to them... they're being singled out in some way.
Meanwhile, random is just being random. -
WRT to that comic page above:
Did the artist really just try to get a reaction shot from the mask of Dr. Fate?
And did the guy offering to ride along the ambulance as attending physician immediately stick around to 'catch up' on things? Hello? Your patient? Going to the hospital? Remember? -
Quote:Indeed, I have four toons I regularly run through this every week.Small elaboration here: the timer is PER CHARACTER. If you have 10 toons high enough to run this, you can get 10 Alignment Merits per week.
Additional small elaboration: The same holds true for A-Merits from Tips: You can have several toons farm the A-Merits every other day. And the same holds true to avoid the diminishing returns from TFs -- if you just finished an Imperious TF and someone's starting a new one, switch toons for the full Reward Merit rewards. -
Quote:This is the second time I let a friend convince me to see what's playing at the IMAX in NYC simply because it's IMAX even though I was pretty sure it was going to be awful. The other was The Rock vehicle, Journey 2: The Mysterious Isle, whose plot was as inexplicable as Dark Shadow, but, at least it was marketed as pre-adolescent fantasy. You have my deepest sympathies, sir, but...
if you're throwing your money away I could use some of it for my student loans.
Meanwhile, when it was my choice, we saw Alice in Wonderland (which worked because it was supposed to be plotless, so, thank-you drug-addled Lewis Carroll).
Next time I suspect it's going to be a stinker, I'm making them pay. -
'Twould be mercy than let me live another moment with the memory of the film tearing apart the decades I have laboriously constructed a cognitive castle where logic and aesthetics lovingly embrace. It is all in shambles after that conflagrative cinematic napalm brought it down.
Mind you, I've enjoyed every other Burton/Depp movie I've seen. I can only speculate that Burton and Depp have entered a bubble where a third person point of view is incapable of entering and informing with constructive criticism. The Echo Chamber of Doom has been constructed. I fear that my $18 for an IMAX experience has only cemented the seams of that inwardly mirrored ball rather than shattered it.

There are three routes for the resources you need to power up with Set IOs:
1. Play the Market for the INF to buy the IOs you need.
2. Farm the AE for Tickets for Random Recipe Rolls. Keep what you need, sell the rest.
3. Farm for Merits.
Farming for Merits, for a non-Incarnates with Alignment Merit access, includes:
1. Run speed versions of Tips and then reinforce your Hero Alignment every other day for a free Hero Merit.
2. Purchase the Signature Story Arc #1.1. The blueside is the quickest to speed through at about 8-10 minutes. Do it twice a week for the free Hero Merit and then the bonus Reward Merits (both on a one week cool down). You have to reinforce Hero Alignment before the Hero Merits start dropping here.
3. Join your server's global channels, especially the one for TFs. Run TFs... a lot. TFs provide a steady stream of INF and drops for a good chunk of time and then pay off with Reward Merits. Do the designated WST every week for the bonus Merits. Reward Merits can be used to directly purchase the IOs that are way too expensive on the Market, or...
4. Convert Reward Merits to Hero Merits. You can only do this once per day. Use two Hero Alignment Merits to purchase the very expensive IOs you want (e.g., Luck of the Gambler:+Recharge). One A-Merit will buy almost any other IO... but you probably would do better with purchasing most on the market with INF. Use Merits for the expensive or hard-to-get ones.
Once you become Incarnate, farming for Astral and Empyrean Merits is another source of purchasing very rare and expensive IOs. Also, the Incarnate TFs open up to you and running the two back-to-back as Incarnates is 80 Merits in less than an hour... the fastest non-gimmick way to get Merits in the game.

This is quite common.
Not only because of homosexual orientation that was 'latent', but because of societal pressure to 'be straight', gay men forced themselves to marry and have sex with their wives (o, hai alcohol!), or, bisexual men only manifested their heterosexual tendencies... and then later in life explored their other side.
A rather large percentage of self-identified gay men have had heterosexual encounters in their youth.
