Quote:Heh, makes me wonder if the scrapper in question has played redside at all. If you're used to the treespec then you know that the tree can kill you rather quickly and should be approached with a few specific tactics.I can say that I believe you. I mean, it was hyperbole on my part to say it's always the scrappers. I have seen every AT die in the tree room, but on Mo's, it's predominately the scrappers.
Full disclosure here: I have a tactic on Mo that I ask people to follow. First, we clear out the Mages. I usually stay one mob ahead of the team to bring them behind rocks as we work our way around the front of the tree. This is the easy part.
For the vines, I tell everyone to stay watch their map and stay strictly between 9-3 o'clock on the top and hit every vine they can, even the ones outside that zone as long as they stay in the zone. While they do that, I kill the vines in front of the tree. If there is a scrapper I know, he can help me while I do this. I monitor my defense, and when it drops I duck behind a root and Dark Regen.
Invariably, on the failed attempts, some scrapper had an inferiority complex when I told him to stay out of the tree's range and decided to follow me around the front of the tree. -
Quote:*shrug* Some people are scared of the star and there are others who take advantage of that fact. Why anyone would put up with that kind of behavior escapes me.
I think the main issue with "obsolete" ATs is a need for greater mission variety. That way different playstyles get chances to shine. -
I notice that "Heh, thank God for Rise of the Phoenix :]" in your chat bar.
Glad you enjoyed it. Contemplating a possible small change to something. You were spot on as far as my setting the first mission to empty and then adding spawns. The second mission has roughly 9 patrols. Thinking of reducing the number since that map is actually pretty linear. -

@LaserJesus -
While difficult, you can setup special encounters in the MA. In mission 3 of Dhahabu Kingdom and the Indelible Curse of Hate there is a trap that can be avoided if you read the clues. Laser Jesus' Made to Wave the Flag does an excellent job of setting up unique encounters.

I find myself despising MMs more and more since it's far more difficult to get away from them. Otherwise no real changes for me.

This topic has still been weighing in on my mind. I've got this sinking feeling that the situation can't be improved. Oh well, I run sewer trials so I'm not sane enough to give up yet.

I know that Recall Friend doesn't break stealth. Neither does some healing moves.

Hah, you thought I forgot didn't you?
Time to put creative minds to work in redesigning a canon group. Spruce them up a bit and/or put your own spin on them. However, at least one of the original group needs to be included in the new one. Don't have arc publishing space? Just upload your enemy group to an online file service.
Enemy groups will be judged on a 5 point scale for Coolness, Competence, and Cohesion. Coolness is the biased style points factor. Competence is how well the enemy group works aka playability. They don't need to be freakish legions of teamwipe but they shouldn't be pushovers either. Cohesion is how well the group seems to work for their stated theme. A magic based group shouldn't have giant mecha without a REALLY good excuse. This is also where typos in the bios and the lack of one of the original mobs will have points deducted.
This week's group shall be:
Diabolique's Spirits
Prize: 50 million inf
Deadline: October 2, 2010 -
It works for some people but personally, I don't think it's worth the headache. Then again, I've always been single so what do I know. *shrug*

I believe they're implying your opinion isn't valid because you're married.
In my opinion, if you're a gamer and the person you're dating/married to isn't a gamer then you're doing it wrong. -
*raises hand*
I have a suggestion. Add a link to the contest within the game's updater. It was something done for PvPEC's big League tournament this year that was a pleasant surprise that surely helped them gain a little attention that they wouldn't have gotten just through the forums. Furthermore, the GMOTD should be used for spreading news and events to people in-game. -
I think this broke again. When I18 hit, Allies that were set not to follow FINALLY did as coded and didn't follow.
-
I sent an ingame bug report about this a while ago but I think it needs to be brought up again, especially due to how bad it has gotten. After getting a few responses, I'll post another version in the tech forum since I believe it's connected to some other lag problems in the game.
Certain contacts in the editor have a high chance of lagging the game, to the point of sometime crashing the game when you attempt to open the editor. Originally this started at the same time as I17's launch when the numbers on slotted enhancements got super small and the AE editor image of the contact's model got small. The lag got exponentially worse with the release of I18.
I've noticed that recoloring the contacts increases the amount of lag. Also, it seems like the image of the contact is duplicated multiple times. This would explain a lot since it would mean that the engine is rendering the contact multiple times within the editor. Taking into account the fact that one of the contacts I'm using is a recolored Sybil Bramlett, that would mean her four cape systems are being rendered multiple times. Furthermore, I don't remember the game actually animating the cape(s) prior to this in the editor.
My main curiosity is whether or not others have had this problem and what all are they doing to tolerate it. Stop Animation seems to do nothing to help the situation. -
For Tales from a Scorched Earth - Kali's Scythe I must say how dare you insert your post apocalyptic roleplay in my holographic entertainment complex!
Oh wait...
Overview
It's an interesting premise that seems to be setup well. The maps make perfect sense though one caught me by surprise simply due to my own perceptions and it was immediately cleared up.
I'm not as knowledgeable about the canon as some but I'm slightly curious on "I don't think even the most fanatical Rikti would choose to destroy all life on Earth. They want to conquer, not destroy." I was under the impression that they didn't really want to conquer, they just wanted to bust heads because [spoilername] sent [spoiler] to their homeworld and got them in retaliation mode. Then again, it it would also depend on when your event happened since Borea might not know the reveal and thus have her own perceptions.
The boss clue for mission 3 should be rearranged so that it is last in the list, this can be done with drag and drop in the mission list. Adding a <BR> tag will add a line break to clean up your objectives but it may take some rearranging to get things how you want.
Sort of minor but Lt Neville didn't exit upon lead out.
Spelling/Grammar
I didn't see any but having someone else look over it won't hurt. -
