/nrg blasters never got kills from tanks and scrappers when fighting good players so it has made little difference, has barely affected team play, just means a blaster cant fight 1v1s with tanks and scrappers that are res based.

and a /nrg blaster that doesnt use melee is like an empath not using heals

i'm sure the Three Lions and maybe even Retribution will make an appearance as the villains are so desperate to take a hiding

i think we shud join the event and head to RV, show them what PvP is really about Shaman will be switching to illu/emp

I thought it was fun night bar AoWs disconnects, the devs dont like u turnout is somewhat smaller than it used to be but still a good bunch of people turning up good practise for new builds and i'm sure more will turn up after i7 hits live

It's all about burst damage with Blasters in pvp, Max, which is why /Energy is better than /Elec thanks to Total Focus. Thunder Strike as I understand it is teh sux.

with fire/kin slotted right u can use transfusion to keep urself alive, just sit in the middle of the mob spamming transfusion while running fire cages, hot feet and psi tornado

i personally on a fire/kin, if u want pve dmg, wud go psi every time, its unresisted by most iirc apart from robots and the indom will does come in very handy when teamed with empaths who wont give the best dmg dealer on the team perma CM

yea, its the team-thing we need practice on and there where imo too many brutes.. this time we had 2 MM tho and that was interesting. but as Kinslayer said, there wasnt much learning in the direction that we where aiming for. I was top killer in 2 fights, and that is not supposed to be, if fights have higher lvl of class (sorry for offending any1, not player skill, but team skill/config. As a MM i should under no curciumstances be top killer in team-PvP)

u dont need pentad teams to learn, although even teams helps a lot. but any team matches shud help u learn to survive and what u can/cant do.

concerning ur top kills u r exactly right, i fought in one match and i think the score, if u take my score out, was pretty even with top on both teams getting 8 kills. i cud only see one team mate out of 4 so had no idea who was getting targetted (basically i was acting as solo) and i got 19 kills as a MM, this is far too many. If i cud suggest any tips it wud be to no who to target and when u attack someone keep on them, also it is ok to run away, only one of my targets attempted to run and i was attacked only once because i was in the air.

the only thing that makes me dislike CoV is the maps, 95% of zones, mission maps and even the arena are so dark, dull and depressing. I no it goes along with the theme but after an hours play i feel so depressed due to just the dark and destroyed environment

Well, the other day we took down quite a few AVs (bobcat, siege/nightstar and praetorian Synapse whose name I can't remember for some reason) with just a sonic/sonic defender, fire/kin controller and a spines/regen scrapper. This was on Unyielding or Invincible iirc.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: You do NOT need a tank and an empath to kill an AV. You don't even need a full team.

P.S. Imaginary has done Lusca by himself (yes, in i6). Does that count as doing a GM without a tank or an empath?

GMs are rediculously easy to solo, my fire/kin can do most of them very easily, Gatling has even done most of them with a blaster

my fire/kin can also tank a lot of AVs without much of a prob apart from the hard hitting ones like tyrant and the back alley brawler one...not sure where this post was leading now lol was supposed to be agreeing with xanthus in that u never need a tank or empath to take out AVs and GMs

I think the PDs could take this team, but we need the perfekt team and have all our members show up and take the right positions and that wont happend since most of us stopped playing.

Nr 8, the person we can get. Prolly Plight Trawler, since he is the only blaster I know of that is good enough on defiant. Red Dragon on his tank might also be a good idea.

PvP zones are great for practising, the equivalent of X-mens danger room. Spend a few hours in there and you'll learn a lot about what ur toon can and cant do. I never have time to read the broadcasts in the zone and if i do i certainly dont have time to reply as it usually results in my death just ignore and get on with fighting
