People, hello;
Tilesets =!/!= Maps
All the Office maps, for example, are made up of one tilest. Let's call it 'OfficeLayout'. Now, off of that one tileset you get every. Single. Office map. Thats a lot of different maps, not to mention the variants that lead to caves, etc.
So, two new tilesets = A LOT of maps.
Ok? Clear? Next question please. -
Quote:If you want to play a fun not so balanced super hero game, I'd suggest trying out Champions. I've played it before and its a fun game, fast paced fighting, and nice graphics and costume creator. The mechanics weren't my favorite so I stayed here, but you should try it out.

Scenery in Mayhems isnt so big a deal. At least you get to watch it explode and, hey, you get a time bonus for it! Cool stuff.
Civilians? They are just in the damn way. If we are forced to have villains that, for whatever reason, dont shoot civilians (*eyeroll*) then simply don't make them targettable. If we are allowed to make actualy, y'know, evil villains that can shoot civies, for the love of pete let us at least 'defeat' them.

Have long wanted to see /Poison ported over to Corrs and possibly Fenders.

It's not just the US.
EU Union side has been really choppy for a few weeks now. First noticed it when we started lagging in the last mission of the ITF, and even before that when Valley of Lag didnt so much stop as get a little bit less terrible. It's continued since then with missions and just everyday running, usually with team caht suddenly spouting various "Lag?" comments.

Adore the sense of movement and the really bold linework.
I'd kill to have Alpha drawn like that. Or, y'know, be able to make my pieces look that good, and not staticcy. No matter the pose, mine never have quite the sense of life that some people just seem able to inject there.
Fantastic stuff here =] double digits up -

Any and all feedback and critiscism is still highly sought after. Also, should anyone be interested in requests or commisions, do let me know. Now that its summer, I actually have *gasp* time! Gawd help me... -
Y'know, if they made the glass and...what are the other ones? Slate? Spines...add a bioluminescant layer to that, and it would work great with the costume set. Cuts out the need for a new weapon skin. Although a new one would be cool as well :P

Quote:Ok. That? Is cool. In major levelsI won't be using the power. I don't like the chance of a negative effect.
Other than that I think this is the best booster pack I've seen in quite awhile. I'd still really like to see organic claws, but you can't get everything! Anyways, here is my Claw/WP Brute Sam Sneed. He is getting a slight make over and will be using the widow claws which are barely noticable, so it appears he is attacking with the organic gloves.

It's also hilarious how, even after that conversation set sail, weighed anchor and disapeared over the horizon a number of pages back, people will still come along and resurect it for another good flogging.

EDIT:
Changed the background texture (i.e. added one), and changed the lighting on the background. Significant improvement, I thing. Is now as complete as it's going to get

Quote:Not saying I won't have a go, but this thread is dedicated pretty much entirely to this.
Edit: Gah, Alpha's too quick for me.

Maybe try the stickies first?

Hmm. Rant/entitlement much?
GR will be ready when it's ready. Judging from what WW said when she became lead Dev, they've got a work plan up to and probably including I20 or even 21 already laid out that they are working to.
Oh, and it's not the Devs that ultimately call the shots; its the bosses at NCSoft.
So, just sit back and enjoy the good stuff, hmm? -

Happy with this? Yes. Everything came together (as I had a suspiscion it might) at the shadow and highlights stage. I ended up leaving the background almost blank, because Alpha is meant to be the focus of attention (as he should be
)
Hopefully this won't be the last CoH outing for me art wise. Will need to see what else I can come up with. Or if people have a go at drawing the little virus themselves...that'll be the day
heh heh
Enjoy! -
Heh, potentially, maybe. What I was thinking of doing was thickening the cables in the back when I came around to painting over them. Since theres only four of them, theres room for making them look a bit more solid and serious

Quote:I didn't say untargetteable. If you go into a Bank mission as a Villain, try tab selecting the vault (this only works with the default bind)/unsigned to making them not targetable. My kinetics and /psy Doms, for instance, *love* the nice big boost they get from these guys at the start of a fight.
The Tab won't reigster the vault and thus won't target it. But you can still click on it and attack it. If you apply that tech to the civilians, that way those who want to target them still can by clicking, and those who prefer to tab to the next actual enemy dont get swamped by unkillable targets that means they can't target what they are actaully after.
Win/win? -
Quote:Yeah, but if you base your character on the in game average height (civilians, Hellions, etc) then its someone elses porblem if their character is stupidly tall. Or a midget.That's all fine and dandy if you're going to be spending all of your in-game time surrounded by the same kinds of mob. The second you stand next to somebody else, you're going to seem tiny or huge again.

For clarification, Im talking about putting *all* the NPCs in that dropdown. Heck, make still images scaled to size, and simply impose them on the background in place of the black cityscape we have at the moment. That way you dont need to add in animations or anything consuming like that. -
Moving on from the Jay topic, which is not really much of a concern for me anymore;
As for quotes on the Mutant pack; Either they were all in extra-sourcel locations (interviews), or someone has traced back through the forum posts and cut a LOT of posts out. There were posts telling people waiting for more animal/anthro parts "Dont worry, wait for the Mutant Pack!"
And they are no longer there.
This is...irritating. Those posts were there. I'm not the only one who's mentioned them. -
Just add a drop down menu with 'comparison model' on it to the Tailor menu.
What would it do? Put an NPC model of your choice beside or just behind your character for scale purposes.
Want to be civilian sized? Voila. Easily done.
Want to be taller than that, but not Cor Leonis size? No probelm, you can check.
Want to put even a ravening Warwolf in your shadow? Boom, done.
Easiest way, even though it in itself might not be 'easy' to implement (code rant, etc) -
A couple of firearms with bits that purposefully clipped, to make it look like the weapon was actually attached to the trigger hand would be really damn cool IMO. Hybrid weapons anyone?
-
Update:
Darkened the background base for more contrast, recoloured a few of the cables. Only the legs left to do with shading/highlighting on the bdy before the basis of that is done.
Then its on to fine detail, the background, and the all important glows and lighting.
Getting there. Nearly got rid of all the body lineart by painting over. Just requiring patience really.

I just wish they didnt act as a target when you hit the tab key. Its Immensely irritating to be trying to hit that Guard Boss who's stood in the lobby, when all you can actually target are the damn civies. And, oh, look, grenade to the face. Never mind, eh? *sigh*
Either let us knock them out, or make them not.
And please, for the love of pete, get rid of the mag 100 push they have!
