Yeah, thinking about it a little bit more than first glance, an attack of that level that seems to be orchestrated by the Court would result in a City wide APB, with express orders to bring all sorts of crack down on the Court. Theres really no two ways about. You can't just brush a thousand dead school kids under the carpet; even with the Rikti invasions and bombing runs, thats what the Heroes are for; they engage them as soon as they show up, preventing the worst of the damage.

    I'd say what's on your hero/threat card would be in databases, I mean assuming you've had a hero/villain career there'd be some sort of info on how you'd fight, and they'd classify you on that.

    Sometimes I use the biogs to write down standard, easy access stuff. How they walk, talk, smell, stuff like that. Othertimes I include a bit of background, because I like writing and want people to find the characters interesting.

    Just because I write some background down doesn't mean people have instant access to it. Best example being the deleted demon stalker, or better yet, Alpha himself. He was originally an arachnos experimental drone, blown to bits by Longbow and then 'aquired' by Crey, who created the being he is now out of whatever high-tech they could get their hands on.
    This is not common knowledge however, despite me putting it in his background. I also inlcuded why; Crey erased all the data on him they could, and Alpha has made sure to forcibly remove the rest of it, just in case.

    Going by some of the arguements in the thread, though, just because its in my biog should give certain people the right to know about it. To which I say "Go to Hell, would you kindly."

    In all seriousness, I'd agree with that. My attempt at running the Arachnos Invasion made it quite clear that stuff only works if its group/personal stuff, or 'Underground' i.e. covert stuff that can be ignored/not know about if so wished for.

    But, that said, I'm also not going to turn down RP Im involved in *shrug* c'est la vie

    Kusanagi corrected me. MM pet power customisation is a no no.

    However, the Devs have said that they are looking at and working on customising the actual models. So, you may one day have different looking robots, but they'll probably use the same power, or another, built in version.

  9. See, I disagree with 'My character has access to x information off the bat'. For example, there was one guy in PD who's bio blithely stated that 'whoever he looks into the eyes of he knows there past'.
    Sorry...what? Seriously? Go to hell. He tried it with a chacter who I've since deleted, a demonette assassin who disguised herself as human. He tried to instantly have all the background I'd written in her biog, clearly ignoring the stuff explaining her being disguised and such.

    This is basically de-generating into finger pointing on who has right of way. "My character has access to this information, how dare you say he cant!" "My character is totally unknown, how dare you say you know them."
    Give and take in equal measure. Show people some courtesy to their concept, and you'll get some in return. I for one don't agree with "X powerset makes them a villain."
    Examples;
    Thugs mastermind? Bunch of street kids who've decided they don't want to live in a dump and are taking on the local gangs, with the smaller but brainier kid making the plans. Mercs? Private group who are taking on crime either because their being paid by the City or simply for justice. Necromancy? A channeler who gives the spirits of those who are murdered a temporary physical form long enough to see justice done, in exchange for helping the City.
    And there are plenty of ways to play a Stalker without 'stabbing people in the back'.

    I'd personally give them more of a secondary effect in some way (other than Whips which have it already).     Except that most pets don't actually do that great damage. Not singularly. Once you have all 6 kitted to the teeth and attacking something the damage output is ok, but its more like a steady DoT than burst damage.
    Just making the MM attacks anything other than totally anaemic would be great. As of now, Demons is the only one I would entertain getting the attacks for, because the whip attacks are fairly decent. They were better in Beta until they got nerfed, but such is the way of life...

    Isn't Thaw Thermals Clear Mind clone? In which case, you shouldn't need to be spamming it, unless the map has something viscious like Arachnos Night Widows with smoke grenades, or mez heavy stuff like Lost/Rikti or others.

  15. Id rather they just cut the stupidly, pants on head retardedly high levels of endurance the MM attacks cost. Seriously, they do such mediocre damage, and yet cost more than a blasters AoE attack? I mean, excuse me? What were they on when they made that decision?

    Give missions a maximum level and let people decide if they want to take lower exp or not.
    Amen to this. Auto-exemplaring to missions suits me just fine, especially now that we even get EXP while exemped. Its not like back in the day, where it would have sucked right royally.

  19. Reason: Technically impossible without re-doing the entirety of Blueside. So, you might as well just make CoH2 with Vista tech included from the get go.

    What the OP is talking about is the Spawn makeup. The enemies in the spawn. Right?
    Even with Bosses turned OFF, the list they provided is still entirely possible to run across. You can fight nothing but scaled down-bosses and one minion per spawn. I've frequentl run into x1 +0 maps with no bosses where all I fight except for one or two spawns is LTs. Literally; nothing but Lts.

    Some groups are worse than others. Tsoo are the primary offenders, but Arachnos have their own plethora of multi-bosses too.

    I'd suggest some sort of mechanic that can check the previous spawn, or overall spawns on the map. The majority should be minions, if you think about it. Followed by LTs and with a the smallest group being bosses. When running on full teams, this seems to work fine. You get a boatload of minions, frequent LTs and a smattering of Bosses. Lower down the scale, the distribution seems to go out of whack a little.

    Simple answer; don't use them. I very rarely use the vet attacks at higher levels, because by that time I have a full attack chain, slotted attacks, stuff that means they have served their purpose and I no longer need them, except in certain circumstance (-recharge, etc)

  25. I'd love to see a LOT more customisation options for weapons. I'd still kill for an option to have hand-cannons. Y'know, something the length of the current Magnum Revolvers (long barrel) but using the Semi-Auto pistol model.
