Actually it's 250. While it is pricey it doesn't really bother me. Shivans are easily available as a summon for when the road gets rocky, the HVAS can be reserved for special occasions when a Shivan alone is not enough.

Quote:As Cat said only set bonuses and globals stop working, your high level enhancements do get scaled down in effectiveness however (but due to the way the scaling works, slotting low level IOs doesn't really help).Does exemplaring really work that way? Stuff of too high levels not working?
Wouldn't that mean you always have to slot everything at a low level or e.g. not hit anything anymore because your level 50 ACC IOs stop working? I so far haven't experienced that and all my Enhancements are IOs.

That is correct, I purchased the Architect edition a while back and the Science super booster was not one of the available options.

Quote:Conversely though people don't play Kheldians as much because there aren't as many options. They have one primary and one secondary. With dual builds there isn't a lot of incentive to have more than one or two Kheldians in your roster (some people do, but they're the exception not the rule). Conversely every other AT has between 5 and 10 primary powersets and a similar number of secondaries. That means there are a lot more varieties in playstyle which encourages people to have more of each AT (to use an extreme example a FF Def plays very differently to a TA def). Its never been about being easy to play its about maximizing the ATS performance. It does not perform well enough and its stupid to leave it the way it is just to satisfy the small proportion of the playerbase that "enjoys them the way they are"
Freedom is one of the most active servers so yeah its pretty easy to determine things by player populations. -
I agree, my AR/Dev Blaster has both Beanbag and Taser and the damage they do is horrible. Clearly they should both do total focus levels of damage since that is their primary purpose. *sigh* Just be glad you have multiple stacking mezzes in your Primary, most Blasters have to rely on a combination of powers from their primary and secondary to mez a boss.

Quote:True dat. It also depends a lot on the situation, some items come up rarely enough that if you see one it's often worth paying the buy it nao price. For example last night I purchased a BotZ level 10 Kb reduction at the buy it nao price even though I have no clue what I'm going to do with it. The supply of them is low enough that it's worth buying one when it's up rather than waiting and hoping one is available next time I decide to IO out a squishy character.Or you could, I dunno, bid a reasonable price then wait a day or two for the order to fill. Because odds are, it will.
But I guess some people have more INF than patience and are willing to just throw big gobs of it at something to get what they want immediately. I can appreciate that. Mostly because I profit off it. -

Wow, that's wierd, what were you upgrading?

Rather than lowering the prices (ok, maybe lower them a bit) I'd prefer to see the drop chance increased for Rikti outside of a Ship raid. Currently it's about 10%, would it really be unbalancing for it to be say 30%?
I'd also like to see the Psi-bomb have its cost reduced. The other powers are reasonably priced but 150 merits for 3 bombs seems a little steep. I'd like to see it decrease to 100 or even 75. -
In that case it sounds like a bug, you probably should file a bug report.

Are you in SG mode? Several of the armor overlays are chest symbols and so get replaced in SG mode unless you turn display SG symbol off.
Or do you mean that the actual item is missing from the tailors? -
BABs originally made it for female characters, but then decided he wanted a sexier walk for females. However he didn't want the work to go to waste so he gave the female walk to males.

I've done that. It only bugs me if it's a reasonably high value item (over 1million at least). The being said I'm still cheap enough to get annoyed about overpaying for common/uncommon salvage even when it makes sense. For example last night I payed 300k for an unquenchable flame and was very irritable about this despite the fact that I know having a 20mil IO up for sale a day earlier is almost always better than trying to save a couple of hundred thousand on salvage.

Both the wiki and Ouroborus seem to be down for me (although RedTomax is up0.

Well blue side I'd say a Traps Defender since both FFG and Acid Mortar scale reasonably well even without much slotting.
Red side Dark and Rad would still work well. Storm might also be an option for Snow Storm and Steamy Mist -
Cool, i've got a Blaster with 26%ish ranged defense through IOs. I like powers to much to take fighting though .
A few general comments:
1. The defense bonus on Combat Jumping is so low that slotting it for defense is generally a waste of slots. On the other hand, if you've got the cash a Blessing of the Zephyr is really nice there.
2. Endurance Reductions in toggles sound like a good idea but in practice I find that the bonus they give is barely noticeable, and slotting click powers for end redux is more effective. There are soem toggles with high enough end costs that it is effective (Leadership is the main offender here). If you actually plan to run Fighting + Leadership though you're probably going to have end issues even with slotting end redux. Since many IO sets have Recovery as their first bonus you'll probably need to frankenslot a lot of those.
3. Personally I wouldn't bother slotting Swift, you don't need a lot of speed in combat and I find that sprint or ninja run suffice to get me around inside missions if I don't want to turn on SJ. -
Like Steelclaw I was going to recommend a /Dark Corrupter. I don't know how much benefit you'll really get from Twilight Grasp due to a lack of accuracy but Tar Patch and Darkest Night should work ok.

Quote:I don't know about you but I do not consider a 7% (with slotting) To Hit debuff useless unless you are already soft capped on defense (or teamed with a Dark/Dark defender). Not to mention it can be used to get glowies that are surrounded by enemies. Stealth effects are suppressed when you click a glowie, but if you debuff the enemies perception instead you can get glowies that you wouldn't be able to with stealth alone.(2) Smoke bomb - Useless as is. Buff it with a Confuse. Enemies surrounded by smoke would know something is up, but it may create friendly fire as well.
A confuse would be an interesting effect though. -
Quote:While build up and aim are useful for snipes they aren't required. AR/Dev blasters still benefit from Sniper Rifle despite having neither Aim or Build Up. Also, Dominator snipes do higher damage than blaster ones in partial compensationRemove all dominator snipe powers. Its kind of pointless when you dont get a full aim and build up power to take advantage of it. I would replace it with some kind of heal or resistance toggle.
Quote:Kheldians I would delete from existance and start over. They are nothing special, just a bunch of reused powers from other sets. I would start over with 100% new and unique powers for those ATs. I would make them into something truely epic something worthy of them being on a team instead of being a liability to the team.
As for them not being unique, how many ATs have the capability to switch from the firepower of a blaster to the resistance of a tanker in 2.03s? Sure, single form Khelds aren't particularly unique since they mostly fill the same role as a Tank/Blaster/Blapper depending on their focus but a dual form Kheld is easy to build and can add flexibility to a team when the going gets tough. -
Don't forget AR/Dev, all we get is an extra 33.52 unenhanceable damage
The other thing to keep in mind when considering Blaster snipe damage is Defiance. It varies a little from set to set but for some blasters it's possible to toss out a few targetable powers before sniping for extra damage. For example a /Dev Blaster can toss out a Trip Mine and Caltrops before firing his snipe for a 33.5% damage bonus.
