Ye Gods this thread (and entire line of thought) makes my head hurt.
Just IGNORE the damn in-game effects if its an RP issue! Hell, if any of my natural characters fell off the tallest buildings in-game, they'd die! Not have 1 HP left, they'd die. Splat! Street freaking pizza!
Just...please. Stop. My cerebral core is fragging out on this one.

Quote:Just because I can; This isn't even touching on the gaping plot-hole of How do you kill something that plays Frisbee with a Rikti Mothership?
The Orestes Rifle, used in the LRSF, would have the power to put a few massive dents in States 'invulnerable' defences. Heck, by all rights the temp power should work against the cheating sod in the LRSF, going by its description as being an 'Anti Incarnate Weapon'. But it doesn't in-game, mores the pity.
Anyway, States isn't unkillable. The missile he 'fielded' during WW2 nearly killed him, hence him being out of the action during D-Day and beyond. All you need is an agent in every 'Hospital Teleport' location in Paragon, a team to take him down, and then a knife in the back/throat.
Boom. One dead Incarnate. -
I usually use Mids for...well, everything these days.
That said? /Signed. Nice layout, nice suggestion. -
Hmn, who to bring, who to-
Oh....yes. Yeeessss...kehe...kehehehehehehehe >:3 -
Quote:What... you mean the 'leak' that was an official statement from the Devs explaining that the Alpha slot was being pushed back and why?If they had tightened up the NDA enough to stop all the details of the alpha slot coming out after it was pulled from closed beta people would have been looking at the core of I19 as 'kinda a big deal'.
Sure sounds like one of those horrid leaks to me! -
...
Who do I have to kill and sacrifice to aquire that aura? -
Quote:Or, hows about if they do it they do it the way that makes sense?lol
Relax
I wish we could get those pieces at lvl 25 unlocking the portal.
But since the devs never gave us the choice before, the new Incarnate arc would be a chance.
Better that way that no way at all.
I.E. 25, at the latest. -
A average GI soldier using an M4 is 'Natural' Origin.
A part-cyborg super soldier wielding an M4 is 'Technology' Origin.
The gun will always be a piece of technology. It's down to the character using it.
Satisfied? Or do I have to fly down there and smack you all up alongside the head?
Using each others heads for smackage as preference? -
Amen to that, and /Signed, Sam

How about
HELL NO!!
Waiting 49 levels to unlock parts that people have been asking for for a long time? You are kidding, right? Either unlock them at creation or, if it absolutely has to be a god-damned badge unlock, tie it into 'Entrusted with the Secret'. Get access to Ouro? Get Ouro kit. Sorted.
But no BS about waiting till level 50, thank you

Quote:...Who is to say what "intellegence" actually lurks behind both these factions, developing its own "identity". Perhaps their goals begin to take shape over time and become more apparent as "willfull" manipulation of the system rather than apparent "random and mindless" actions.
Examples:
The clockwork, blessed with natural (albeit technologically based) logic, adore order and conformity. Their higher-level control programs that organize and maintain all the myriad aspects of running Cole's utopia begin to question his (Cole's) ultimate purposes and "break-away" to form a new "race" of it own. Ever heard this story. cough:::cyclon:::cough
The seers, a subjegated human clone-race blessed with unnatural "empathy" for fellow humans are being drawn more and more into the web of suffering that Cole has created by his "unnatural" rule. They develope stronger willpower to resist all the controls put in place that make them normally docile. One can only imagine the fury of a freed soul when the "entire" truth of Cole's empire suddenly floods into their conscience.
In both these cases, the outward "mindless" actions that we currently witness from time to time are simply "symptoms" of a greater event to unfold.

P.S.: I am expecting the Praetorian epics to be different than what we have seen in the past. If we expect there to be two, then my expectation would be one that is inherently "villainous" and one that is more "heroic" in it's tendencies. Clockwork would fall into my "villainous" role, and Seers would tend toward the people and be Heroic.
What?
Have you even played the Praetorian arcs? -

^ This. Theres no confirmation he was among the eight that have left. Considering I know exactly how much work goes into even the simplest animations, and they seem to be doing work on a lot of alternates, I find it reasonable to put his lack of postage down to armpit high levels of work.

So? That marketing spiel is as clear as glue covered treacle in a china bowel hidden in a smog. It could mean a hundred and one things, wrapped up in words that got devoured and butchered by 'Marketing Speak', which we all know is evil.

Quote:Who are you and what have you done with Mod 08?The PR statement from the article is correct.
In an effort to put a greater focus on the City of Heroes franchise, Paragon Studios is shifting resources within the studio. In order to optimize the refocus, there has been a reduction in force that has impacted a small amount of people. Paragon Studios is an integral part of the NCsoft West family and will continue to prosper, delivering the worlds most popular superpowered hero MMO game, City of Heroes, to fans around the world.
Eight un-named workers does not necessarily include BaBs. I'm not believing it until it's actually made properly clear, not the guff that marketting gives out. -
Quote:Great. The Marketing Empire got TheOcho's brain as well. He's been replaed with a Marketing Drone V3 Commodore...It’s our policy not to comment on personnel issues but rest assured that we remain as dedicated as ever to the future of the City of Heroes franchise.
I'm not believeing it till it's actually spelled out confirmed, frankly. The rumour mill is very often so much junk. -
'Anonymous source'....riiight. Local trutworthy rumour monger, then?
-
More likely he's shoulder-deep in even more of the alternate animations, given the blast sets and suchnot are the easy ones. And 'easy' meaning 'only rather hard to get done en masse'.
-
Mentioning High Moon Studios' War for Cybertron and Bayformers in the same context is nigh on a crime against...well, common sense?
Mundane 'splosionfest movie with too much TnA...versus a classy, well made game that is nice for both new players and old veterans with some serious levels of Epic in it...
Sorry, what was he smoking? /grumble -

I just mentioned earlier how I'd prefer a Rikti Epic AT over a Praetorian, considering you can pretty much make a Praetorian Epic already aside from getting special graphics for a few neat powers, then I defended my case.

I may have to adopt it
