Holy crap, that thing looks really powerful.
Especially when it's actaully 3 tics of 313, resulting in damage over one thousand.
  3. Only [Ion Judgement] seems to work in game.
And does 1298 average damage on a level 50 Mastermind.
    ...
One thousand two hundred and ninety eight damage....
    I....it....th....

    *breaks*
  4. Server list merger (i.e. adding Union, Defiant, Vigilance and Zukunft to the US list ((or vice versa )) ) = Good thing. No one loses out, and we no longer have to have EU and US versions of codes, trial accounts, game codes, etc.

Server Merger (i.e. merging EU servers into US ones) = baaaaaaad.

I would hope for the former, I would declare outright war at the latter.
  5. I know Alpha for one is just going to be plugging in some obscenely powerful upgrades And I know exactly what the Judgement Power is gonna be; Reason, his pet orbital railcannon.

Y'know, going on weight of evidence it probably will.

By all accounts, the UK - German link is absolutely shockingly terribad. While the UK - US link is supersonic style.

You could revamp the Atlas Park contacts using only the mission tools the devs had to work with at the time (so no lead-outs, let alone lead-tos) and they'd still be far more engaging than the non-arcs we get. Add in all the tools currently available in MA, and you could come up with something pretty good.

Honestly, after having spent the last year and half asking for simple things such as the ability to use standard Lieutenants as "fight a boss" details, I've pretty much given up on ever having anything that isn't new and shiny added to AE.
I may jsut make it a lead out objective, with an ambush or something.

And yes, Id like to think so. The AE arc in my sig, Dicing with Devils and Death, is what I came up with when looking at the mound of fail that Azuria calls missions. It's still getting polished, but it seems to run pretty smoothly so far.
  8. Re-writing of Rick Davies (new arc; Grinding Gears) has hit a snag due to AE refusing to co-operate on a mission objective. Were it so easy...

I swear, if I had the Devs tools I could probably re-write Atlas parks entire contact list in a week or two. Same for Galaxy, maybe three for Kings.

If some schmuck like me can churn out an actual story arc in an evening and a day, what excuse is there for the Pre-Paragon Studios content still being here?
  9. I know that, before Going Rogue, Union and Defiant never moved from Green.
Since GR, both have seen movement into Yellow, Union very consistantly.
Thats all the evidence I need. Other than, y'know, enjoying the hell outta the game.

    AE Removal?

I'd be pissed. Because I'm using it to make a start on re-writing all the low level dross that the Devs seem to refuse to revamp. So, hey, I'll do it myself. Even if the tools seem meh compared to what the Devs can do. Considering the one in my sig took an evening and a day to knock out in full, it's simply brain draining to come up with a good reason why the pre-Paragon Studios arcs havent been cleaned up a metric crapton.
  11. I'm just hoping that I can finally have payback on Statesman and his lackeys for that LRSF attempt...no problems till the last mission, then haxxor squad.

"Hey, big blue fragging boy scout! I'm going to toe-bomb your butt clean over City Hall...and then do it again! And again, and again, and again, while laughing my head offm and using your flying pinyata butt as target practice with all sorts of lasers and missiles! And then? Then I'mma gonna fire Reason at ya!"

    Say hello, Reason!

    Ok, seriously...

Aurgh...that is some major suck right there. I may just have to do the slightly lamer, clunkier version that is escort the NPC to the door so she can give you the code to the safe. Still works, but it's a little lame.

I'd love to have access to whatever tools the Devs use on missions, because I'd bet top and bottom dollar I could have most of the Atlas Park contacts totally revamped within the space of a week or two, if I didnt run into speed bumps like this.

'New Shinies' over Revamp my skit plate...
  13. Some responses from the EU community;

    "Great Chesus!"
    "Finally!"
    "Amen."

  14. Techbot Alpha

    Ok, seriously...

How the hell is one meant to set it up so that you can Escort an NPC to a non-interactive glowy?

I'm trying to get an Escort NPC to a secure safe. The player cannot interact with the safe. The NPC gets there, and the mission completes. I know this is possible in game, because it happens in multiple missions, the one I can recall best being in the RWZ with the PTS and leading Doc Aeon to a computer which the player cant click.

Apparently, this is impossible in AE. I can't set it up so that a safe appears once the Hostage has been rescued. The closest I get is a 'The Triggers are creating a circular dependancy' when I try and link the safe and the NPC.

Is this actually impossible? If so, seriously, why the hell is this the case? AE is good and all, but given I've made one arc already to replace Azurias 'not an arc' and the tools are approximately way less powerful than the ones the Devs have, the excuses against revamping old content suddenly become really quite lame...

    /grumbles off
  15. Hah, you should have gone Bots/Traps...

"Whats that, fleshling? I can't hear you over the sound of how AWESOME I AM!!" *steamrollers x8 mobs*

But yeah...fail tank is fail. Thats the truth of it.

I've yet to run into anything in this game that I can't complete, most of it in a duo, and TFs with a competent team - not even an expert team, just a competent one. I just don't get the point of making our characters godly powerful... in order to do what? And are the upcoming TFs really going to be of a carefully balanced difficulty where the extra regen/damage boost is going to be the make or break point? I think it's a lot more likely that they'll be more difficult and any good team will be able to do them fine, because I can't see a way to predicate the difficulty on a boost like that - especially when we're choosing which boost we want. Are controllers who don't take the mez boost going to be unable to complete them?

I mean, yay powers, everyone loves their toon to be awesome, but it seems like it's just there to BE powerful.
    Points you seem to have missed;
    1) Parts of the Incarnate slots ignore ED
    2) The boost they provide are across the board. So, with essentially up to 2 SOs worth of End red in EVERY power...you may well never have to worry about endurance again. That in itself is pretty powerful.
    3) They have stated that the new TFs and further incarnate content are geared specifically towards Incarnates. You want something more difficult? Your likely gonna get it.

  19. Yeah, my Empath not only gets the boost from inherenet Stamina (she has no fitness pool atm) but she can also slot for end-red, healing AND stun all in one (Empath/Psi). She's gonna be quite badass by the time this is over

Alpha, though...NOT a clue what I'll put in him...Bots/Traps MM, so...Damage, maybe? since Inherent stamina will let me take his attacks again....uhm....hm. *ponder*

Good! Armour/Armor I don't mind, and the others like it. 'Judgment'? That's not a word, thats an abomination in type format.
  21. I'd just like to fire arrows that aren't big, fat javelins, thanks.
Dont look anything like any arrow I've ever seen...
  22. So, Judgement is the second slot?!

Give. Now. And let me make Reason Speak! >=D

Eedit: Is it just me, or are some of the Alpha slot combinations of bonuses a little...wierd? I dunno...Damage and Immob duration, for instance. Still good and all, just occasionally worth a raised eyebrow.
  23. I'm pretty sure the devs dont use IO'd anything for testing. I remember during one Beta they gave us enough cash to fully TO/DO/SO characters during level bumps, so those are still the consistant norm.

And I tested my arcs using a level 14, half-redded out Claws/Invul Scrapper, and she managed alright, though the bosses sometimes made her munch insps as it should be, really. The only other units can all be encountered at their natural level range; Skulls and Hellions. The only real toughy was the end boss, who is designed to cause a bit more pause for thought. He may need a bit of tweaking, seeing as I don't know wether AE rank gives the same automatic benefits that non-AE ranks do, i.e. wether bosses automatically need more mez application than others.

Ha! Yeah, that'd just about do it
Well, if theres a quality I've been aiming for other than 'Something id be happy to play many times over', it'd be the I18 and onwards arcs with the new tech and better writing. Sadly, not all that tech is mine to play with =/
