Quick question: are we still limited to three published Arcs? Or has the number been bumped up?

Already published two, am worried about how many more I can add (because I've got soooooo many idears, and I still need to work on Cobalt's Monster Arc)

WARNING! The Birthday arc isn't set for Level 35 and up! In-game villain levels are uneven! Freakshow start at 30, Carnies at 40, so anyone under 37 is gonna have a baaaad birthday! I do apologize, and will try to figure out a fix...

I'm posting two of the ones I copied from Test (both have already have players run them!)

Arc Name: You Say It's Your Birthday!
Arc ID: 3630
Faction: Neutral
Creator Global/Forum Name: @witty librarian
Length: Short (1 door, small map, Unique Party map)
Synopsis: If it's your birthday, this is the mission for you! Your fellow heroes/villains wanted to throw a surprise party, but certain groups didn't want to help foot the bill and so they stole the presents and the cake! You need to go rescue the presents, free the cake, and defeat the Mistress of All Cake!
Groups: Carnies, Freaks, unique Boss.
Levels: 35 and up
Difficulty: it's doable solo, but bring friends. More the merrier!

Other notes: I hope people have a sense of humor about cake.

Faction: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @witty librarian
Length: Very Short (1 door, small map, Cargo ship)
Synopsis: The noble Bloody Bay Buccaneers are enraged by the latest raid by Nerva Pirates: the Nerva krewe have stolen all the rum! Why is the rum gone?
Groups: Unique, Nerva Pirates, Unique Elite Boss (Fire Armor w/ working Rise of the Phoenix Rezz)
Ally: One Storm/Electric Defender (Wittypirate). Do be aware he will have Gale and Hurricane KB effects running.
Levels: I think it's open, 1-54
Difficulty: it's doable solo, but bring friends. I seriously suggest bringing 2-3 people because of the EB Pirate King.

Other notes: My testing on Beta was done solo, so not all Bosses spawned during the tests. I am afeared of how they may operate...

The problem with this - and it is gonna come up - is that you're asking for a plaque to honor a particular AT in the game. A plaque just for Tankers?

You're gonna have people who exclusively play Blasters, or Scrappers, or Defenders asking for their plaque dedications as well. But not Controllers, after all no one listens to them...

A better solution would be to set up plaques for each of the primary ATs in various zones: Tanker in Kings Row, Scrapper in Steel, Defender in Founders, Mastermind in Port Oakes, Dominator in St. Mart, etc. Have it count toward a History Badge (Archetype) on both sides of the game.

Doable?

Recommended difficulty: There's a Boss/EB with resurrect in it, he may bump up to AV if there's a larger team. I put in an Ally (Wittypirate) but he'll use Hurricane and Gale a lot so watch out for KB (is there any way to turn off a power on an NPC?). I also put in MM bosses but they didn't pop up on my Test attempts, so I figure a larger team will spawn 'em, and they may be buggy. Let me know.

Recommended team size: 2-3 or more.

Background story: Evil pirates from Nerva Archipelago have stolen the Bloody Bay Bucs' supply of rum! Time to steal it back and teach those not-good pirates who rules the seven seas.

Enemy powers : Dual Blades, Broadsword, Fire Blast/Fire Armor, Fire Tanker, Brawl punch.

Mission name: Library Restoration Project - The Perez Collection

Mission ID: 16101 (and 16100, I think I double-clicked the Publish button)


Recommended difficulty: It's a 4 mission TF, very long. One timed mish. Play as you like.

Recommended team size: EVERYONE!

Background story (if you so chose to): During the first Rikti Invasion, the Circle of Thorns took the opportunity during the city's destruction of stealing the library collection from the city's 4 branches (Perez, Hollows, Dark Astoria, and Eden. The city libraries were tied in to the Parks and Recreation Dept.). With Paragon City resuming some semblance of normalcy, WittyLibrarian was able to convince the PTB to re-build the city library system in other zones. The TFs (of which this is the first) are part of the project of getting some of the books back.

It took me a week almost to survive the debugging on the test server. And it's taken me three days to figure out where the GM monster sets are and the Open Map zones. And now I'm freaking out because Jurrasik's not on the list. 'Cause I promised Cobalt an All-Monster TF dammit and I'm trying to deliver!


Also, without a set villain group of pirates, starting up a Pirate TF is a moot issue. Unless you want us beating up Tsoo or something...

Is there a chat channel the PERC works through on the server? Other than checking this forum, how else do you get out word re: events, tfs, raids, etc?

For the 2XP weekend, I got VEAT Crab Soldier guy Gecarcinus from 47 to 50.

Gecarcinus is the fastest I've ever gotten a character leveled up (the quickest before this was Wittypirate, and he still took almost a year) having started his run about a week or two after VEATs were introduced, late May 2008 (meaning about 7 months).

Soundchaser is my Sonic/Electric Blaster I created right when Sonic sets came out with Issue 5 in August 2005, so that I've been working on her for 3 years seems about right. She had been a huge victim of my altoholic behavior of creating and ignoring characters, especially as new AT powersets came out and as my character slot spaces kept growing. And she's not even my oldest character to yet reach Level 50: My poor PB I'Exile isn't even Level 40 yet.

One of the things Lord Recluse is doing is building up a massive army, right, wanting to "spread the word of Lord Recluse." So why not start adding new zones recently "liberated" by Recluse's forces?

One could be a small seaside nation ala Monaco, with secured "green zone" and hostile areas surrounding it? With Longbow forces on the fringes battling against Arachnos troops looking to secure the map. With a set of contacts providing missions to explain the 'history' of the area leading up to a Strike Force to target whatever it is of interest in the zone that Recluse wants.

I still feel the biggest problem with CoV is the lack of PvE 'themed' zones much along the lines of Striga or Croatoa that CoH gets...
