I never wanted access to the NA servers (and please don't call me "EU" - it makes me sound like a prefix...)
Personally I'm entirely ambivalent about getting access to 11 new servers that I'll never use.
I'm not alone either, judging by some other responses to this thread.
Are we in the minority? Possibly.
Some folk will no doubt be glad of the chance to hop onto higher-population servers like Freedom, or the unofficial RP servers like Virtue. But I'm reasonably certain that the close-knit EU community will stay fairly close-knit, and whilst there might be a certain amount of exploring of the new servers due to "new toy syndrome", most of us won't stray too far from the existing server setups. Heck, Defiant has been the "lower population EU server" for AGES, and you can't budge the bulk of that community with a crowbar...
i seriously can't say i ever wanted access to american servers. all this will do is dilute the already small Union population over more servers -

Just been looking at a Wireshark trace while the update was running, and from what I've seen, their "content delivery network" is Akamai, which is not peer-to-peer.
This is a good thing because many ISPs (mine included) will have an Akamai cache on their local network, so as advertised, we should benefit from improved download speeds. I'm getting pretty much line speed right now, which is a massive improvement over the old updater. I've downloaded 90% of the entire Test client while I was writing this post.
That said, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The install seemed to go OK but the first time I ran the launcher, it hung with just a blank grey window and a menu bar that didn't do anything. Killed it with Task Manager and it ran OK second time. -

One thing worries me about this
"content distribution network" Does this mean Peer to Peer? all Peer to Peer is blocked on the network so i'd simply not be able to patch or anything -
When you have to toggle up before you enter or exit a building
When you are in a hotel that has 4 lifts in same room you have to enter the back 2 in case Outcast attack you before you can exit at the top -

Ghosting and stuff like that is totally detached from Debt anyway. I agree, though; unless a mission is just a big old boring slog, or a real pain to complete, me and the folks I play with tend not to ghost/speedrun. Stuff like the big hunt sections in certain TFs we will set up to blitz as fast as possible, usually by having big hitters queued up in a zone ready.

Yep but things like that happen still i Hate ghosting missions even on a level 50 i'd rather fight through a map. rushing in this game has become fashionable what is wrong with just playinging? -

Don't bother with guides they are just completely unnecessary in this game.
Kheldians are a good AT i have a level 50 of each. What I'd suggest is that you simply make a build for them once you done that you'll realise that although they can fit most holes in a team they can only really fit one perfectly at a time (you'd have to change build to suit another one with maximum efficiency) Some ppl go tri form some dual some all human. I personally feel that they both have maximum efficiency being all human but that's just my personal opinion. Once you made a build you can play it to suit your play style not some guides idea. -

Dear Op aint ranged pets supposed to be ranged and melee pets supposed to be melee?
Meaning they are balanced from their positions? if ranged toons are in melee and have not got aggro control (most melee pets have hide/heal/placate) they are just getting ganked?
that is not to say you cant get it to work but its still not WAI. I really don't see everyone being the same now range toons are gimped it means melee toons survive longer -

Energy Aura is good set its just not a tanking set. It has good survivability if you try not to tank with stealth and multple +endurance/-endcost powers with minor heals. And capped energy res
Energy melee is definetly powerful but is slow now. you can easily solo some AVs with these sets very high damage and decent res/def -

And I cant purchase 1 year just because i am not on US servers... really? Do you not see EU servers being around in 1 year?
And surely it makes more sense to do it for a whole month as ppls sub times can come outside that 14 day period. It being so far before Xmas is just so you can divvy up the Xmas bonus enit! -

Yes the SS is an awesome looking place and has been here since issue 1 (?) but there are only 4 TFs and 5 regular contacts. I don't know how that could continually be the end-game content for 5-6 years.
Anyways....nothing really new from the interview which is sad.

To be honest, I see this kind of complaint raising up ALOT in other MMO's where the *DAILY* 1 hour downtime is in the middle of their peak time. Thing is, its for the *convenience* of the engineers, and NOT for the convenience of the players.
If it was at night time (where load is generally lower, but there are still active players), you would get all the night time players complaining.
There is an acronym for this...
NIMBY... Not In My Back Yard... it refers to people who *want* something to happen, but they dont want it to affect them in any way shape or form.
TBH, _gohan661_ I think you are a NIMBY overall...
if there is no benefit after this 6 hours it'll just be a colossal inconvenience i'd rather not chance it (i KNOW i dont have a choice its just my opinion)

6 hours is a pretty excellent turn-around time to do something of this order of magnitude, even if they've been laying the groundwork for the last few weeks in preparation.
Plus if i19 does go live on the 16th that'll be about 5 hours too so thats 11 hours of daylight play time that we are gunna miss in 6 days. i dont personally get much lag while playing and i play on a wifi dongle so this upgrade seems pointless and inconvenient -
Is it just me who thinks 6 hours is far too long! infact its a bloody ridiculous amount of time... and on my day off too.
Plus why bring back NCSOFT EU and then move servers are they all gunna be out of a job again or what.
I am sceptical too that our lag wont sky rocket, the reason I got EU version was cause its ....EU! Granted that was 5 years ago and things change but it cant be called EU and be in Ammy

NC soft does seem to have FAR too many security measures in place this would annoy me alot its like facebook i tried to sign in on my new kindle and i couldnt verify who i was as they wanted me to name ppls tag photos i had never seen before and who were wearing masks... pointless.... on play.com and amazon i dont even need my credit card details anymore i see nothing wrong with this and i generally dont keep much money in accounts i spend online
