Just browsing through my favorited forum topics and stumbled across this. It scares me now to think how large my favorites list must be. I think I might have broken the dA software or something because sometimes stuff falls off of my favorites list and I have to go back and re-favorite it.

Is anyone else having problems getting demos to run? Did a recent patch break the demorecord feature again?

Nice nice. Thanks for remembering me!

Keep working at it Misty. Don't let people discourage you. Find a place where you can share your artwork if that place isn't being supportive. Don't let people like that get you down. That's exactly what they want. They're little people with little personalities trying to pound you down to size so that they can feel better about themselves. Once you realize that you are a bigger person than they are you can shrug off most of their abuse. Believe in yourself. Believe in your ability, even if you haven't developed that ability yet. Keep developing that ability.
If obstacles get in the way, identify those obstacles, identify ways to get past them and then do exactly that. At the same time, don't force yourself. That will only lead to stress, anxiety and frustration which just starts you on a downward spiral. Find ways to keep creative and active without overdoing it. Always keep doing something to keep the momentum going in some way. Even if it's just a daydream here or there, keep that creativity flowing.
All the things I said not to do? I did them. All the things I said to do? I didn't do them. Those positive things I did do I didn't always keep up with them. I went down that downward spiral and nearly lost myself because of that. Even from where I am now I can still see the path back and the path ahead. If from where I stand there is still hope than for you my friend there is a greater hope and a greater chance to succeed. Don't force it. Just let it all happen in its own way. Developing your own style will take time, but in the meantime just draw for fun, draw to get your ideas down on paper, draw to learn. Don't worry about getting it right, as that will come on its own.
Now that all that has been said I should really start listening to my own advice. I have my own set of obstacles though and I guess I'm still searching for and putting into action my own way of dealing with those obstacles. I've tried doing it other people's ways and it just didn't work for me. I'm in the process of learning to listen to myself and do things the way I thought that they should have been done from the beginning. Who knows you better than yourself? Of course it doesn't hurt to try other ways of doing things. I guess it's part of finding out what does and doesn't work for you.
Now that I've thoroughly confused everyone (possibly even including myself) I'll end this dialog here and continue on to where ever it was I was going before I stopped here for a brief moment. -
I'm active, but I got stiffed again. Maybe it's time to resign from the Envisionaries?

I've already made the suggestion to use the light purple text that appears in the System Channel when you use commands such as /whoall /cmdlist /loc /whereami and so on. Try one of those commands to see what I mean. I think that it the short term (until they can give this its own channel) it's the best solution.

Characters can be named, and then the tag "The" applied to the beginning (and later on of course other titles). Why not have the same things for supergroups? This might mean that the game would have to look at sg's currently starting with "The" in the name and move it to the prefix tag. Anyways, just a random thought before i go out shopping.

How come I go to see what the new art is and often I find it's something that I've already seen and favorited?!

Commissioned art has been flooding in for Rowr and I over the last few days, here is our latest piece (and most likely my final post as I am going to be taking a break from CoH forums. Just going to stick with DA for the future):

I'm surprised that no one has asked him how old he is.

Ok, this is sort of what I've put together using the demo edit you gave me above (including reducing the size of and cropping the image as well as deleting about 148 frames of the character just standing there doing nothing).
Animation test
I noticed a few problems with the demo right away, which you can clearly see in this image. The way that the character fades in is a bit of a problem. The camera also seems to clip off parts of the character during various parts in the rotation. I have absolutely no idea what I need to do to fix this. At the very least I've figured out how to insert my character info into a demo. Once someone can fix the demo above so that it works I can take it from there.
All I need is a nice continuous rotation with no fading in or out, and a camera angle that's close enough to get all the details, but not so close as to cut parts of the character out of the image during the rotation. This would also include character models using the huge body type with the sliders maxed out. Or if someone could show me how to tweak the camera distance?
Edit to include additional comments:
If it isn't possible to get the rotation animation working correctly, then would it be possible to create 4 separate demo files, one for each of the main compass points? Then I can either create .gif files of standing animations or just extract one image from each file and create a static pose of my character from each direction. -
Your skill level and style seems to me to be very much like my own before I fell out of drawing. Pretty good. Now if only I can stop my life from being so crappy and start drawing again.

No kidding. I'm so behind on my nookie I'll have to screw for three or four years straight just to catch up. -
