You're currently Premium. As a Premium, you get limited access to the game and your characters. NCSoft won't allow anyone to pay for the game and have done refunds for folks that had bought bundles because they're trying to shut the game down as cleanly as possible. The Paragon Studios crew were fired and kicked out of their building pretty much the same day as the announcement was made, so they don't have access to the tools to make everyone VIP and have full access. The best they could do is make people who were VIP permanently VIP while Premiums are just out of luck.
So blame NCsoft. -
Quote:I don't think it's the wrong thread. Too many people keep posting in the forums that aren't All Access, restricting who can and can't talk. It's annoying and redic.Wrong thread, wrong game. Im sure it will be fun if you like Marvel Ultimate Alliance Online, but I still need the true successor to this one.
And I'm looking forward to it. Looks like a solid game. And of course it ain't CoH, but that's like comparing apples to oranges. -
Quote:But everyone did realize and feel sorry for the Ice King. After the holiday episode they actually start treating Ice King less like a villain and more like that crazy old friend who gets into mischief. The thing that made feel so sorry for Simon in that episode is that everyone who watched the videos (Finn, Jake, Bemo, PB) should have caught on and realized the tragedy that happened. Instead they just see it as something weird and sad on the Ice King's part, and I really can't fault them for that since all they know about their world is the world that's there. Any thing about the old world is just vague stories passed down through old ruins and rumors. I'm sure that the Ice King could be helped if someone just knocks the crown of his head and keep them separated from each other. Then again there's not much for Simon in the land of Oooo and makes you wonder if he really wants to come back to a world were all his loved ones are dead and gone.
And the whole point about the Ice King is that he's so far gone it'd take much more than "knocking off that crown on his head" to help him. During Holly Jolly Secrets Simon himself revealed that he only needed to put on the crown that first time before it tainted him, filling his head with all sorts of nonsense and secrets. Not only that, in this recent episode Simon writes Marceline a message apologizing for everything he's done and that the crown is making him insane, but it's the only thing keeping him alive.
As to OP, loved last night's episode. This show grew on me big time with it's darker undertones. Between Adventure Time not treating children like idiots and having an actual plot, and Regular Show having much more teenage-adult themed humor, it's nice to see some good stuff on CN. -
I've always preferred Ocho, tbh. He showed up to events and socialized in game just as much as Zwill, but didn't abuse the hell out of Admin chat and always knew how to keep it classy.

Quote:I think you have your stereotypes backwards, dude. That is not a "mainstream video game player" by any means.I'm kind of glad that CoH never advertised on mainstream media. Our playerbase was never huge, but it was composed of fun, smart, vibrant people.
Offhand, the only MMORPGs I can think of that advertised on TV are WoW, SWG, and SW:TOR... and just take a look at their players.

Quote:It's not like the gameplay isn't broken enough as is. With IOs people can already become unstoppable juggernauts, and Incarnate powers just make that problem worse. If anything, hacking powers may even serve to improve certain aspects of the game like PvP, for example.Emulators=eventual hacked gameplay and "fixes " that won't fix anything. Stalkers with blaster nukes and tankers with Defender debuffs. Emulators will kill an already dead game, perverting the gameplay.
It'd also be nice if someone could figure out how to make actual storyarcs without AE so we can get a better writer to make arcs that make sense and don't take inspiration from DBZ. -

Quote:Sorry, I should've been a little more specific. I meant to the OP, all those methods just sound like badly written overpowered retcon devices. It's already been established that we couldn't win without cheating, so why not have fun with it? Also, that view of the Well is entirely compatible with what's already been established, just a different level of understanding.
It doesn't really do away with the planned "fallout" storylines, either, like dealing with the other ex-servitor races, it just adds a sort of amnesiac angle. -
That just sounds like a bunch of horrible reality-altering retcons.

NCsoft dropped the bomb on Paragon pretty suddenly. If Paragon knew CoH was gonna cave, or if there were any legit warning signs, they wouldn't have worked on I24 and planned ahead as many issues as they did.

Hey, I calls it like I sees it. So calm down. -
Quote:Is the Flyer just not in that pic? 'Cause I can't see it anywhere.Given the Arachnos Flyer parked right next to this second hospital, I'm thinking a co-op or otherwise mixed zone was a definite possibility.
They already have. They revealed a ton of powers that weren't in the .piggs that they had up on the drawing board but hadn't started yet. I don't have the list on me but I remember a couple were Magnetism and I think either Water or Wind armor? I don't remember. -

Only took 8 years for Paragon City to get a legit hospital.
Seriously, though, I wish that were a revamped Independence Port instead of an entirely new zone. Blueside is over saturated as is, it didn't need more zones. Especially city ones.
Place looked cool, though. Not knocking that. -

Quote:I'm aware, but those don't change the actual art style. You can remove those comic-book outlines in the video options btw. You can also remove the cel shading by turning off post-processing effects (there may be a separate option by now, but that's how I did it in beta). IMO CO didn't look too bad once those are turned off. The gameplay was another matter though; I thought the combat was horrible.
-
I tried it, but the controls felt awkward and I wasn't much a fan of the gameplay. Which is a shame 'cause I love Fallout and would be pumped for a legit Fallout MMO.

CoH has more costume options to choose from, but CO lets you do more with the many options you get. You have four colors to choose from for most pieces, and some times even the ability to make a color glow. You have eye customization and complete control over asymmetry on every piece that'd make sense for it. A few costume parts even let you customize the logo on them.
Of all the lackluster things you can find in CO, the costume creator isn't one of them. I just wish there were more faces to choose from, because you can't do crap with what they give you. -
The word you're both looking for is "Cartoony." CO may have those (IMO ugly) "comic book outlines", but the overall art style makes the game look more like your average cartoon than your average comic book.

I haven't really been in to Pokemon since Gold/Silver. Picked up Soul Silver, though, and that was cool.
