I'm really sorry about the Ericsonx. I know what its like to have a pet pass away, as I've had several dogs over the course of my life (one having had cancer that we just couldnt afford to operate on). It's things like this that make me wish my hamster was a bit more cuddly, and really make me miss my cat while I'm away at school. You have my deepest condolences Sir.

I don't think you have a very realistic expectation of what would occur. I do some pretty silly things and have some pretty crazy friends.
My friends and I would bring 5 Thug/Storm MMs and 3 Sonic Corruptors. We'll be at the defense and resistance caps. We'll have 5 Hurricanes running and 5 Freezing Rains flying around. 5 Masterminds with Taunt with bodyguard mode and 10 trillion thugs. We'll all stand next to each other and press Team Teleport 5 times or whatever to the exit.
If we don't die instantly when we exit the door to City Hall we're free. That's your only chance. There's not going to be time to run back from the hospital and try again. There's not going to be time to ping us to death with 10 damage at a time.
All of the heroes need to rush to the door of City Hall, and stand around and buff each other and wait. They can't come inside. They can't rush us one at a time. They can't run back from the hospital. Once the heroes figure that out... yeah... we're in trouble. Until that's figured out no amount of level 40s and lower are going to mean anything.
*EDIT* 8 random PuG (Pick up Group) villains trying to do the mission would probably experience exactly what you and many others have described. I'm just not 8 Random Puggers
[/ QUOTE ]
Ahh. Yeah. I was talking about mostly PuGs. Seems like you have this thought out... so thats where the 100 lvl 50's standing near Atlas' [censored] come into play. Lol. Smurphing good show, Smurphy. -

It would be terribly boring for me and my villain friends to pound through waves and waves of grays.
[/ QUOTE ]
But thats just it. You and your friends are taking down wave after wave of gray's... and they keep hosping and coming back. Wave after wave of the same heroes, unending. Eventually either they'll work together well enough to take you out, or your end would sap enough that you'd be the ones getting picked off 10s of HP at a time. Haha. The power of the inability to kill your foes. -
Bad, I have to wonder if you had the level 3 version of a level 15 character I saw, even though I think we play on different servers. He was a level 15 character who laid there typing in all caps.
"HEALER, REZ PLEASE.
HEALER.
REZ PLS.
RES PLZ.
PLZ REZ.
HEALER."
It was so damn annoying. Then after being told to hosp or make his own wakie we all asked him what he needed to make one. He goes "How do you do that?" It makes my heart hurt so much to see players getting Power Leveled who dont know how to play the game. We explained how to create a wakie and he goes "REZ PLZ" I about lost it and wished I was lead so I could have booted his sorry [censored]. -
I'm not talking about sets that have one power, and thats it. Not "you get one tier 1 attack that can be leveled up to tier 9 after 50 levels". I mean one power set, like just picking elec blaster abilities, and thats it. Thats where a lot of people seem to be getting confused.
And willpower isnt available to all different arch types.
I was just curious to see what everyone else thought about the idea, and clearly the majority are not in favor. Thanks for voicing your opinions though guys and gals. -
And yet Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Cyclops, Flash, etc have proven themselves time and time again capable without the use of a secondary power. Granted I could just use a secondary, ignore it, and then move on with my life, but I still dont think it answers the question as to why. Perhaps this argument is fruitless.
-
Shibbs, I totally agree. I've been kicked off of plenty teams who get rage-drop at me and boot me. I dont understand the NEED for a healer OR a tank on ALL teams. Any team frankly. I think that a team that can work together and work well (though this rarely happens) can overcome anything without the use of a tank or healer. Hell, I've been on teams that have done it.
-
I understand that... but then why give us the option of have a plant/ice (or fire or whatever) toon, etc. It was just something I was thinking about and wondering if there was another logical reason beyond ignoring your secondary.
And LISAR, thats what I mean. Why should we be gimped if we chose not to take a secondary or use it? There are plenty of Super heroes with one power who are not gimped... Nightcrawler and the Flash spring to mind. -
I'm not talking about one attack, LISAR (happy birthday btw) I said a single POWERSET. Much like Jubilee and Cyclops only have one power they constantly manipulate, why is it that we dont have an option to only pick one powerSET? Of course, don't ignore the previously stated reasons that I'm aware of.
-
So, I've been racking my brain over this the last couple of days or so, especially with the increased discussion of other Super hero based MMO's on the rise...
How is it that we cannot choose only one power set? I mean, for example, some heroes only have ONE power they manipulate and grow. For example, Cyclops only has his laser beam. Jubilee only has her flash bomb things, Rogue only has that power absorbtion (which yes can lead to OTHER powers, but not permanently).
I know we have the option of getting two power sets, and most people enjoy that... and I could be told to pick any secondary powerset I want and ignore the hell out of my secondary... but why should I? I was just curious on other peoples opinions on the matter. -
I just like the idea of two groups of heroes going toe to toe. Dunno why... Lol.

We also have Warburg were hero can go against hero

now to let those annoying team members to level up before hunting them back down and inviting them in...... Lol. -
Good to know. Thanks M_I_A.
And I still consider Inf to be money, because you lose it when we make purchases. Personally, if I had a high influence with people due to saving them, my getting something from a store would not decrease that influence.
"Ohh... Hero X bought apples from the grocery store. I sorta dont respect that so much..."
Yeah... not so much. Hahahaha. -
Speaking of Inf....
Anyone notice on Hero Side when you save a civilian from getting mugged, etc, they pay you? Isnt that a little... weird? Haha. I know that its a means of gaining money and exp and earning money without having to do mishes but... in real life, I cant say I'd PAY a hero for saving me, or as a Hero TAKE the money. Haha. -
Hahaha. I just thought it'd be interesting if heroes were suddenly refusing to register their powers, regardless of medi-port capabilities. It just occurred to me that States and the founding heroes never suggested this might be a BAD thing... even the villains to it... and if ANYONE I could think of would want to avoid registering with anyone, it'd be the villains. Lol.
-
...is a nice civil war.
In all honesty, I've been thinking about it while anticipating MUA2. The heroes on Marvel were asked to start registering their super powers because they were dangers to the populace. This meant registering their secret identities too. Now, if you're like me and you make new characters every once in a while you'll notice the nifty ID cards we all get to fill out prior to play.
We're registering as Heroes. We're registering powers, available money, amount of XP gained, levels, and our histories. Anyone else find that a little shaky? Lets revolt.
= ) -
AHHHH! Thank you, and thank to the other poster, for posting this!!! I have been trying to think of the name of that damn game forever! inFamous! Thank you!! ... now I just have to get a damn PS3... anyone wanna buy my 360?? Lol.
-
Do you guys know of any mac compatible videos like that? Its all for Windows Media Player and my comp doesnt support that.... = (

Never underestimate the power of stupid, crazy people in large numbers. Just look what it did for the zombies...
-
I just finished playing some Resident Evil 5, and now we have zombie threads... Really out of my comfort zone right now... Lol.
-
Hahaha. A pirate hook with a claw attachment. That sounds hilarious.
And I'm sure a lot of crazy needs to go into it... I'm just sad they didn't think of it before... especially since we have monster heads, feet, and such. Such is life. I guess it's time for the claw wanters to rally up like the Dual Pistol/Demon summon folks did. -
I'm not talking about making it it's own set, I'm talking about adding it in as a piece of costume weaponry. Instead of having some claws popping outta the wrist, lets see some feral claw options. But I guess just wait and see what happens. People lobbied for dual pistols and demon summoning hard enough and got it...
-
I dunno. It seems to me like its settling for less when we could just as easily have the monstrous hands as a type of "claw" since they already exist and its a matter of just swapping them out like a glove. They have the swipe animations and such already...
-
Except, as I stated in my original post, the natural claws are sorta primary to the character idea... I also think they'd be wicked awesome.
