  1. Added some cheesecake shots of Angel Silhouette kitted out in his Roman armor from test.

Backlighting is your own worse enemy Angel. :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

Backlighting, front lighting; with the exception of his hair, chains and eyes, Angel Silhouette suffers from a complete absense of colours. Light just sort of... falls into him. He's almost a hole in the darkness.

Ok no I just updated Angel Silhouette's level and added his new powers.

*wonders if he should post pictures of Angel in his roman armour on the page*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is he dressesed like a Spartan from 300 ?

    if yes please post

if no please dress like a spartan and post

    [/ QUOTE ]

lol there would be very little detail to see. All you would be able to discern would be the gold details on his helmet, his white crest, gold chains and blue glowy eyes. He could be naked and you'd never know it.
  4. I may or may not have updated some of my toons recently....

Ok no I just updated Angel Silhouette's level and added his new powers.

  5. BWA! I want access to those!!!!

IS it normal to be able to see through a Goldbricker by looking into the fan on their jetpacks?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yes.

    Maybe.
  7. I hope this is a bug.... I was very disappointed when I finally unlocked my Crey pulse rifles on my mastermind. Neither of the rifles has the pretty blue glow at the end of the barrel like they do with the NPCs or the temp powers.

    -edit-

Please please please sexy Jay, please tell me this is not intentional. I was really hoping they'd glow like my Rikti Rifle... Only blue... and not quite as brightly.

    Looks great.

Do you think we could ever get the ability to save costumes? That would be the tops.

    [/ QUOTE ]

too tired/excited to read the whole thread to see if anyone else mentioned this yet, but...

check out the last screenshot in the announcement. see what it says there as the costume name? nothing from the list of presets.. nope. it says "custom".

    [/ QUOTE ]

As mentioned above, if you're not choosing one of the preset costumes, then you're making your own custom costume. Choosing 'custome' means, you move on to pick individual pieces. Nothing about that implies saving the costume except for when you finish the character creation process and enter the game with it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Correct.

    [/ QUOTE ]

However it would be a fantastic feature if we could save a costume locally so that if we decided to re-roll the toon because we didn't like the powersets but liked the costume because we spent ages playing with the creator and the proportions, we wouldn't have to go in and re-do everything.
  9. Oh my god when I clicked the link and saw the guy with the machine gun and the "budda budda budda" I went into fits.

I know this is an April Fools joke, but please do consider using this in the future as an on/off option in the game.

    -edit-

And if you do ever include it, you HAVE to name the issue it comes out in Issue X: Pow Biff Boom Bam!
  10. I've played pet classes in 4 games (AO, SWG, WoW, and CoV) now and my pets have never persisted when I... Oh no it did follow me in AO. Well in SWG and WoW my pets never followed me when I had to go through a load screen to zone, but that was never a problem because I didn't have to buff my pets after summoning for them to be effective. The whole buffing thing seems like an arbitrary time sink for MMs as a counterbalance for the MM himself having less risk. The only problem with that, though, is that it's more of a punishment for the rest of the team than the MM unless we zone into an ambush. People often want the MMs to go in first to set up, but sometimes the MMs want someone else to go in first to distract any potential ambushes.

    [ QUOTE ]
I have only one request. Once a Mastermind hits 42 give them the ability to summon all of their pets at once already buffed. But also leave the ability for the pets to be summoned individually and be buffed individually. This will cut back on so much down time and i think all Masterminds would greatly appreciate this.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd settle for a 'buff all' option that takes the endurance of casting 6 equips (or whatever), but hits all the henchmen at once. Or a 'buff all tier x" option that lets you buff all henchies of a given rank. Again, for whatever amount of endurance using that many 'castings' would cost. I don't think they're likely to give free buffing, but I'd appreciate the time saving. I can live with having to pop a blue or two right after.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed, I play masterminds and I play with masterminds, and the pre-mission downtime while waiting for the MM to summon all 6 of his pets and then buff each one individually is totally unnecessary. I understand that it's only about 2 minutes, but that's a long time for some people. Even barring that, when zoning into a mission where there's a spawn right in the entrance two minutes can be the difference between an XP gain and XP debt and the frustration of knowing that, if you are solo, you will have to drop the mission or find help in the oh so dead world of CoV. No other AT has to make their team wait while they prep their powers for use, so why do MMs? Can you imagine if your elec brute had to rub his feet on the carpet for a couple of minutes to get his static shield going?
  12. Not sure, Major...

I think your spaceship knows the way, though...

Wow! Thanks for all the awesome feeback ^____^

MarDun, I probably could do it in the daytime, but it's hard to catch Atlas empty like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    DemoEdit?

Using demoediting you can make Atlas empty, and a lot of other places.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I has no demo edit skills >.>

Though if I did, I have an idea for a select screen that will blow you out of the water. I just need 4 people and someone who can either tell me how to, or do the demoedit replacements for me. ^______^
  14. Thanks! ^___^ Either is a compliment. I'm glad you like them

This is Scirocco's, or is it Ghost Widow's, Mako's or Scorp's statue base. I know which it is, but I'll never tell, see if you can guess. This picture, like all of the rest, is in 1280x768 resolution. If you would like to use it for your own select screen, you will of course need to trim it to your own screen resolution (removing 128 pixels from each side, for example, if you are using a 4x3 aspect ratio) and then deform it to 1024x768 (if necessary). The splasher only accepts 1024x768 images, but if you squash the image, the splasher will stretch it back out to fit your screen resolution.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hehe it's fun to guess this one, although if one has been in Grandville enough, familiar with the patron shields, or have the badges for the villain AVs from Recluse's Victory, it's pretty easy to guess which platform that is.

Nice job on all of the screens of angling the screen jsut right and removing the existing statues.

    [/ QUOTE ]

D'oh! I should have customized the logo on the front of the platform...

    Hmmm.....

  16. Wow! Thanks for all the awesome feeback ^____^

MarDun, I probably could do it in the daytime, but it's hard to catch Atlas empty like that.

Regarding instructions for set up, the screens being in 1280x768 might make them look not so good on your screen. If you are using a 4X3 screen, you'll want to cut 128 pixels off of each side of the screens, otherwise it will look a bit squished.
  17. Wow, I forgot I posted this until someone asked me for links, I was obviously very tired when I did.

Thank you for the wonderful comments, you've made my day ^____^ I'm sorry it took me 6 months to find and reply to this.
  18. The Enforcer and Vanguard gauntlets clip a LOT with things like guns and claws. Jay, would it be possible to make the gauntlets that have over knuckle pieces like those rotate based on the position of the hand so the shield is always over the back of the hand instead of rotating with the forearm so that the shield clips with guns and claws?

    NO to above

    [/ QUOTE ]
Please clarify: If you are saying that we will not be able to access those costume pieces, I strenuously suggest you remove them from that promotional image or, preferably, make them available to players: Don't lie to us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. You already have half the player base excited about this, and now we are being told, nope, cant have specific pieces that are shown. Thats not right. Dont tease the players with stuff we wont get. How about show us what we WILL have access to.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think he meant "No, its not Statesman..." which was the original question.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    JLove's post is:

    "NO, to above"

Which is an unquoted response to Radmind's post of:

    [ QUOTE ]
So, wait...in the picture with the gladiator armors, is that Statesman in there?

    [/ QUOTE ]

That does look like the Statesman cape and Helmet. Do we get access to those???

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which makes JLove's response seem to be:

'No, you will not get access to those costume pieces shown in the promotional image.'

I state "seems". That would mean that the promotional image implies a lie. That is what I am asking to be made more clear.

Edit: I am asking for clarification because this would seem to be the first time that images promoting a new issue were inaccurate. I am assuming that all costume pieces are shown as they might be used on a player character, not an NPC, but JLove's post is unclear.

[/ QUOTE ]Seems to me he meant "No, it's not Statesman pieces"

Also: I guess we were wrong about Chimemora (or however that's spelled) *just* being the modified Ouroboros zone for the Wedding

    [/ QUOTE ]

Perhaps because it's not just a mask, but a full helmet, and perhaps, while the cape has a mantle, the draping part of it is fixed to look a certain way?

I so want that cape mantle I will be so very disappointed in them if it turns out they've put costume pieces into a display of costume pieces we're supposed to be getting that we won't have access to.

    Bad form, bad form indeed.

Well the problem with having to get a new account -just- for more slots means you don't get veteran rewards on that new account (unless you've had it since the beginning).

I'd rather pay $15 extra a month to get say 7 more slots on ONE account and keep my veteran rewards.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I couldn't agree more, though for an extra $15 a month may as well give us another 12.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I would so wash the Devs' cars for this.

And yeah, I thought it looked like Teddy Roosevelt, too.
  21. *cries*

*chooses which of his toons to tear down to level 1*

*chooses which to delete in favor of VEAT(s)*

*shakes fist that more character slots aren't being added with the new issue*

    Stoopid awesomeness....
  22. Awesome, I requested the days off... Now here's hoping my computer is working by then. : /
  23. I really hope that CoH isn't transitioned to a console friendly format, or if it is, that the PC side of it isn't changed to compensate.

The last time I saw that happen was with Star Wars Galaxies. They tried to "streamline" the game for a console release to make it simpler to play with a controller and it was a terrible train wreck.

    Really long hair

    [ QUOTE ]
Sounds like it could be done, but I also suspect it will look nasty. Capes move like fabric. Really long hair just doesn't. I think what you're going to get is hair that looks like it's painted on a long scarf.

Hmmm.... but maybe a really long poney tail?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ghost Widow's hair is actually a series of transparent "capes" with hair patterned onto them (I noticed this after rotating my camera around and zooming up quite close to her hair). I believe there may have been a standard polygonal hair shape beneath, but it was either at the 2006 white knights christmas gala or at Sincere Agape's in game wedding, both of which were quite long ago in the ski chalet.

Jay, having said that we are only allowed to have one cape, has ruled out us having things like loincloths, tabards, Mu capes, and flowing hair.
