    Blaster role

Well, I went Energy/Ice. It worked for me, not having a "useful" secondary (All I took was Buildup and Icepatch) Because then I was able to take pool powers in liberal amounts, but not only that, but I was able to slot up my attacks and not have to slot my defences, because, well, I didn't have any :P

With my scrapper, I've had to play this balancing act and slot up attacks and defence at the same time, granted my scrapper is now starting to become quite "tough" but is lacking the raw "boom" of a blaster, granted she will catch up eventually, but in my book it's not all about end game.

What would I do to the secondary line to make it "useful"?

Not sure, and even if it did have some nice powers in it, not sure if I would even take them, more important stuff in the primary.

If anything, they would have to be powers that don't need slotting, like for example build up/ice patch.

I must admit, one of my "fun" powers is bonfire, but that's in the epic, so perhaps some of the controler "stuff" that isn't too much "control" good example is the smoke grenade in dev == smoke in the fire control.

Perhaps some "utility" powers in the secondary line, like power push, it's not really "damage" but "control", well, thats how I use it: push the critter over so he can't fight back.
  3. Well, I've tested the new wormhole and, well, I'm surprised to say, that I like it. Not tried it yet in a group, which may be hard to arrange, if everybody is in the arena

However, if I was to weigh things up, I think I'll miss the old wormhole more.

Best solution for me, would be to have both, that would make me really happy.

    So, onto my solution:

Get rid of Dimension shift, I've tried it (on test), I can see groups hating it, and as a oh **** power, stuff tends to get spread out, and typically you'll miss anyways, so would of been better off just legging it.

So, part 1: In slot #6 (leve 12th) Replace it by wormhole 1.0 keep the name and everything.

In the wormhole "slot" #8 (26) put the new aoe wormhole, but it needs a new name, how about "vortex" ?

Lastly, never liked propel, but I know enough do, so fair enough, but if I had my way, I'd make it like the warshades cone attack in look and a cone disorentate
  4. Just a thought, but how about a graphical feedback when you are out of range, what would work I guess is the players who are out of the 200" range having the name gray out, sorta half way between the blacked out of in a diffrent zone.

That way you could tell if you are in danger of not getting xp and it would prompt you to move closer.

It would also give feedback to players if one of the party dropped behind, so they could wait for him to catch up, or if he's gone AFK, boot him from the group.

    Sounds good to me.

But can we also have /slash commands to switch the alt tray and ctrl trays as well? Only /prev_tray_alt and /next_tray_alt exist for the alt tray currently. I'd really like to see a /goto_tray_alt as well as a /goto_tray_ctrl, /next_tray_ctrl, and /prev_tray_ctrl.

Indeed!, that would be great for my squiddy bind I was planning on setting up, but then found I couldn't.

What I would like to see, for groups, is the ability to complete the same mission from multiple team members at the same time.

Thats an excellent idea, I've done most of the various AVs now in other peoples missions, do I really have to slog though my own storyline, would be excellent if I could skip the missions that I've already done. Obviously this only relates to missions that require a team.

    Boss Changes

    My 2$ about the change.

Bosses are now somthing to be feared, but assuming it's your mission, and you get the drop on them, still doable.

And thats key, "get the drop on them", which isn't a problem for the "named" bosses, as they normally shout out a line of blurb when you are close.

One easy change, would be to make all bosses "shout out" when you get close, that way you would know they are there.

Second, I havn't done a respec trial post #3 but I can imagine how brutal it will be, in particular the freak one, I died enough times as a one hit squishy before, now it must be a total nightmare. That needs looking at.
(I suggest upping the number of minions/LTs and dropping the boss count)
  8. One way to make the shadow shard more fun, is make it all very low gravity, akin to giving everybody supersuper leap. (obviously those with leap would have a really really big leap) then nix the geysers as you don't need them anymore.

    or, if your feeling "silly":

superspeed: doesn't "fall" very much like wylie coytie, unless you stop
fly: really crank the speed up so your a bottle rocket.
    leap: really really big leaps.
Teleport: make the range very silly.

Would keep the "weirdness" factor, but make the zone less painful to traverse.

And when you take a mission that is kill 50 at point "x" can we have a waypoint to point "x", that way we know where to head to?
  9. I'm Energy/Ice and I'd just like to add one observation.

Ice Patch is a great tool to assist in using Power Burst.

Against "tricky" groups, I will open with the patch before snipe/blasting. Any that try to come and melee me, more often than not, trip up on the patch, and then I can burst with a lot less risk.
  10. How about this then:

The target is considered "even level" relative to your attacks.

So, a level 10 attacking a level 40 would have the same chance to hit as if he was hitting a level 10, and do the damage he would normally do against a level 10 (which the 40th would laugh at, but get enough 10ths attacking him and it should eventually worry him)

Conversely the 40th attacking a 10th will still wipe the floor with him, damage wise, but if that 10th level had defence buffs (SR scrapper with bubbles - for example) then the chance to hit him would get "floored" rather than getting jacked because of level.

If I was a 10th against a 40th, 1 on 1, I expect to get pasted, but if enough of us gang up on him, I want at least a *chance* that we can pull him down, granted some of us are going to be worm food, but I expect that.
  11. I'd like to see you able to do three things with missions:

    1) complete them, as we do now.
    2) discard them, so they are gone for good.
    3) postpone them, give them back to the contact with a "I'll get back to you on that"

Also, while I'm thinking of it, I know you can fail missions, like the cape one, but what I would like to see, is missions with a split storyline.

Say for example, you get to a point where you can save the girl or go chasing after the bad guy (choice of missions) but can't do both as the same time.
  12. I think it's unwise to cuss over a "open" channel reguardless of any disclaimers you may have in your bio, or fire off as a warning.

Do you think they would of gotten away with the line "sorry for anybody who was offended by Janet's bap being shown" in the end credits? I think not.

I come from EQ, and our gu channel was um, a bit ripe but I always watched what I said "in the open".

What I would do, in your case, would set up a number of emotes that "describe" your cussing, without doing it "out loud", those that understand will, those that don't will carry on oblivious. With the added bonus you can fire them off at the relevent point without too much hassle.
