You shouldnt have to. Remove all fitness powers from your build, and they should appear in inherents.
Also worthy of note, Crab Spider Frag Grenade is borked. I think its mapping of 'cannot be taken if you've taken Soldier Frag' got reversed or something, because its greyed out normally, yet becomes available when I take Soldier Frag. Which if I take it then bugs out Soldier Frag. Bleh. -
Save the file from the Titan Network to desktop on Windows 7. Run install as admin. Leave it to work. All done.
That will cause the popups to never happen, and it will run without a problem.
Thanks much, guys, looking forward to the Alpha slot version

Yeah, of all powers in the game, Curse of Weariness has to be up there for 'Most Cheaty'. I mean, if you don't have VG merits to get a cursebreaker? Ya screwed. Five minutes? Thats a a surprisingly long time when eyeball deep in Rikti and two EBs. Its notl ike you can really mitigate it, either. Sure, you can keep a ton of blues on hand. You still run out of end at about twice the speed, meaning you'll have munched them all damn fast. Id even say 4x as fast, given halving your end also effectively halves your recovery.

/Signed. Being able to manually organise contacts and their arcs, along with clues would be a godsend. I have a number of characters who's Clue tabs are clogged up with HUGE entries that I'll never be able to get rid of. It's just a hassle.

The auto-updater doesnt seem to want to kick in for me, even when running as admin on Windows 7. I really hate how sometimes it glitches things out with its damn permissions (usually perfectly legit programs)
Oh well, gonna download now from the above link
Thanks much guys!

Except Jay seems to barely crop up anymore.
David Nakayama (aka Noble Savage) seems to be the go to guy for Art stuff, given hes the lead art dev. And he's also show signs of being much more ready to give players 'Moar Shiies!' as it were

Quote:Or...you could port the already existing brawl animations onto boxing?Because Brawl has more animations for it than any other power in the game, to allow it to work with all of the weapon sets. Basically, that same work would need to be done to make boxing work with all of the various sets.
And Kick, where there are kick ones (such as Shield and Archery)
Unless there was some really wierd technical limit, I dont see what would be so hard about it. -
In all seriousness, the issue would have been totally moot had the EU simply got equal testing conditions to the US, nameley the level bump for newly created characters and an inf splurge for SO slotting.
How come that wasn't the case, anyway? -
Quote:Ah, was wondering why auto-update didnt catch anything. Not so fast! A pretty nasty bug was found shortly after this, so I took it down. I'll let you know when the real I19 version is ready (should be later today).
Still, nice thing to wake up to tomo- later...damn you, sleep pattern... -
I think both EATs are thankful. And Stalkers, and tankers. Blasters, too. I know all mine are

Quote:It is a pretty tough mission solo, I had a few issues with it on my FF/Energy Defender. Luckily I also had 250 Vanguard Merits lying around. Did you know a defense capped Vanguard HVAS can take on that entire room and win? It's quite fascinating to watch, really. Both EBs and all the Rikti.
Cheap? Maybe. My power is to make something really unkillable, so I phoned a friend. A big mechanical friend with laser guns for arms. That helped a lot. I'm sure that a lesser pet would have been enough, but I was in a mood for overkill.

I think I just got stinking bad luck with the Rikti ambushes and portals. Like, the portal mobs seemed to aggro on me while still outside the end room.
Like the time that we ran a LRSF. We steamrollered everything until we hit the Phalanx. Me mis-pulled Numin and ended up team wiping, no big deal, came back with insps and suchnot.
Numina must have been busy while we were setting up again. Because they all seemed to be uber buffed. Even vengeanced Shivans did nothing. So, it does happen.
Motto of the story?
Next 50, Gadget!

Better late than never...
Thanks anyway, Avatea. But maybe feed this batch of EU techs to Mako and get some new ones? Certainly in time for the next Beta...
-
Ideally, boxing and kick should both have 'weapon friendly' animation options. I mean, I know certain sets already have brawl equivelants of both, so...why the detach?
-
Tankers and Stalkers, so far for me, have proved to get the biggest boost. Tankers can take both shields AND attacks, while still having room to slot in a travel power without issue. And Stalkers no longer have to juggle BU + Placate/Fitness/Potential Travel power at the 12-20 range, and have to sacrifice less of their attacks into the bargain.
That three power difference is actually a helluva lot. -
/Signed. I'd happily trade one of the AoE blasts (of which you get more powerful clones in the Patron pools, anyway) for the PbAoE.

Weapon clipping. It happens. Alpha's pulse carbine draws at the same time as the ghost slayer rifle, giving him the Arachnos rifle embedded in his carbine.
You had me going, there!

Quote:I like that idea best.Shadow shard could also have villains without being co-op. We already have tech to allow both hero and villain missions in one zone without being shared.
So, put an Arachnos base (carrier?) in a different corner of the shard and drop some NPCs in it with missions/SFs all about sabotaging heroes' efforts, looting stuff, maybe working with Rularuu when the payoff is worth it.
I would be like Cimerora but without a co-op TF. Instead there would be the blue side TFs and a redside SF or several. And rogues/vigilantes would be able to work for both sides (or at least both TFs and SFs), which makes sense, I think.
"Yes, I know you are here too. Yes, we are on opposite sides still. But, right now, your busy and Im busy, and fighting will only attract the big, floating be-teethed eyes. And thats a bad idea. So, I'm going that way...I will pretend you don't exist. I advise you do the same."
Although I don't think working for Rularuu would work except for the most demented Villains. Maybe have Villains stealing Hero tech to put it to what they consider 'the best use', feeding Longbow and soldiers to Rularuu troops as distractions while they steal artefacts and suchnot, and generally using the Heroes prescence like any other tool.
While, in turn the Heroes reclaim stolen artefacts to stop them falling into the wrong hands, rescue the trapped citizens of the Shard, defy Villain ambushes and, most importantly, hold off the Ravager. -
Quote:Summed it up nicely.I like the new animations just fine. There just aren't enough of them and I would have liked more of the already-existant animations rolled in as options.
They are slick, no doubt about that. But more sometime along the line, right? It wouldn't kill to have stuff not be in Issues all the time, right? -
Quote:Yeah? And? You have looked at Fire Blast Re: Firey Assault, Ice Blast Re: Icey Assault...hell, Mental assault too.The similarity takes both Dominator sets into consideration. Almost half of the powers offered in the OPs suggested sets are already available as a Dominator:
^
Oh, and Fire Melee, Ice Melee, Mental Manipulation...
Seeing the pattern here? -
Quote:No, I didn't. What I meant was, I targetted Holtz and jumped on top of the first two portals and taunted. I didn't target the portals, though. The first two died from AoE. The back two or three were constantly spawning Rikti for the whole fight though.
Holtz and Honoree were fighting me for two to three minutes while the portals spawned rikti.
What I keep trying to say is: If you got to the point where the room was absolutely flooded, you should have just backed out, reset the mission and tried again. Don't throw your mouse against the wall then come here whining that it's impossible.
Please, stop putting words in my mouth. I have not once 'whined that it's impossible'. Annoying? Yes, very. Cheap anmd cheaty? Sure. Potentially frustrating if you don't know what to expect? Yes.
I will say it once more;
I. Completed. The Mission. Well, I would have, had my net not dropped me while I was talking to the downed Hero 1.
My points were;
1) The Incessant Rikti spawn made it so that I got to a point where the mission was taking a lot longer and becoming more tedious than it should be. The EBs were, despite having a few cheap tricks (Curse of Weariness) no more of a problem than any other EB. The 100+ Rikti, however, made actually fighting them more of a chore than it had any right to be. Note; not challenging or tactically difficult. Just a chore. Getting to one EB in the middle of a swarm of exp-less minion is a chore.
2) Saying 'You shouldnt be allowed to drop this!' is just stupid. The reason that function is there is so people can drop bugged missions, or ones that become impossible to complete. For all intents and purposes, I completed the mission. The fact I would have to re-do it entirely due to a net diconnect is what caused me to auto-complete it, because going through that again was a level of tedium I did not want to face.
Those are my opinions and my reasons. I feel that the portals being capable of spawning that many Rikti should not be considrered WAI, because it makes the mission not-fun. I was on a soft-capped character with pet back up, and I found it more of a struggle than a x8 mission. This was on x1. If other people on other characters ran into that (and by that I mean the 100+ Rikti surrounding the Honoree) then you can likely bet there would be posts about it too. -
Quote:Pretty much this. Last night when posting I was still probably a little too hacked off to post without coming across very ragey. But, like I said, the EB fight itself wasnt hard. At least, not overly. It was the right sort of level for two EBs versus a 50.The basic issue of his argument is that the mission can be incredibly annoying due to the mechanic of the humongous Rikti horde (and note that it's a horde that offers no rewards). Techbot did manage to defeat the elite bosses, so his tactics worked out in the end, and he didn't need help. He didn't manage to complete the mission only because he got disconnected at the end.
(Personally, I have no complaint against the annoying aspects of the mission, as long as I can auto-complete the mission.)
And the answer to 'why not team' is because this is supposed to be quite a personal arc. When this is a mission all about, supposedly, me....why should I want to envolve other people? Sure, I'll do it on characters like my Empath/Psi defender, and maybe on my AR/Ice blaster knowing what I'm facing now. But on something like Alpha? Yeah, fine, I got blindsided. The disconnect did nothing to improve my mood.
