This is a truly aesome idea, stacker.
I would suggest though, that if you can create ingame videos, maybe video tutorials? -
Bumping this...because I'm almost ready and don't want to search for it, lol.
-
Pocket D:
Only storage it offers is the personal storage vault.
Has teleports to ONLY 4 zones (for heroes or villains)
Sells inspirations
SG Base:
Teleports to (almost) all zones
Allows 19 storage containers
Contains Invention Table, Work Benches and Buffing Stations
If you die, you can go there
Also can sell inspirations in a limited capacity
Adds the ability to put your own stylish look to it
As far your members using Pocket D...if you build a base with all the telepads, they will use IT more than Pocket D...simply because PD does not have access to all the zones. -

I don't see it being feasible to change sides without leaving your supergroup.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's how I see it too.
Plus, we SHOULD have to leave our group. I mean, a hero base is usually a publicly known place. If a hero turns into a villain, he would have to go into hiding (lair) or be arrested, right?
In my mind, this shouldn't even be a question...switch sides, get in a new SG/VG. It makes total sense to me. -
I was just able to place a florescent ceiling light on a grey round table (2 half tables together). I did it by accident, but now that I know it can be done...
-
I like the Comma-delimited text is probably simplest option the most. The game already exports text files for AE arcs and that sort of thing, so how hard could it actually be to do this?
-
Well...that ranks right up there with poop.
-
It use to be, if I map served I could click quit to loggin screen and I would go there, log right back in.
Now, most of the time that no longer works. I'm not talking about a hard crash where you have to verify files. But a relaunch of the game is required. No files get verified.
But when you quit to login sceen, it gives you trouble logging in, like when hte servers are down. -
I think it would be great if they introduced a zone where a raiding system is implemented where multiple teams can join as a raid faction and take on a Cosmic Class Villain.
By cosmic I mean along the lines of Galactus. One really big bad guy. A grand comic book style threat.
The first EverQuest has a raid system that would work perfect. A Raid lead would invite people to the raid, select Team Captains, and assign raid members to teams.
Teams would get regular exp, and the entire group of raiders would get a very small exp bonus for being a part of the overall raid.
Whenever a raid was formed, a special channel was added to the chat window so that everyone could talk. It works great. -

use the damn /search command and send tells to people your lv who aren't greyed out. i know it will be a new concept for you, but it works. try it you may like it.
oh and this may require you to actually make a new tab for just tells on your chat window which can be done by right clicking on the window, selecting add new tab, naming it tells, put only private tells into it and click ok. then your tells wont get drowned out by broadcast.

Why is it that the replies in this section are so harsh? There's really no need for that.
What? You think you know so much about this game that you find it offensive that people make suggestions? Grow up man...or go back to elementary in August. -
BTW, GH, I think Sonny needs to treat Klaudia better than he has been, and Kristina needs to confess her part of the accident.

The only issue with using Bookshelves and Safes for making 2nd floors is the number count. You will have to use 2-3 times as many Safes and 8x as many bookshelves to create the floor as your would desks. It will have a huge impact on your total number of items in base.
Unless they fixed the 10,000 item limit on bases.
[/ QUOTE ]
Builders inc has a motd saying it's fixed. But they suggest a limit of 12k items. -
[ QUOTE ]
I normally use safes. That way I never have any problem placing stuff on the "floor" without have to use the bright white floor tile.
[/ QUOTE ]
I also prefer safes. Mainy beause the desks require moving to another room to delete them.
But, to the OP, you do not need to create stacks of safes to get them high enough. The large Floor Lamps stack and will allow you to elevate whatever items you plan to use for flooring to the point you wish.
Another benefit of safes: They stack sideways as well as upward. You can place one row of safes and extend it outward easily as a result.
Whatever item you use, be sure it is a stackable item, so you can place addition items on top of it like a real floor. -

It is possible to ask for help on the basebuildersinc. channel - if someone's on at the same time as you are, they'll often pop on an unaffiliated (often disposable) character long enough to help you get your spares into your group.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm a member of the channel and will be glad to help, and I'm on often. @AmericanAngel-Pete -
/signed.
However, barring that and the ability to save configurations (which would allow us seperate layouts or raids!), I would be happy with an "Are you sure?" prompt on the Apply to Base buttons. -
I agree with everything you said.
Does anyone know how to get a plain glass on the glass emblem stands yet? Last I heard they nerfed that also. -
Before everyone get's their pants in an uproar...I'm not talking about Game Exploits. I mean things like how we use to be able to create double doors and such...but the bugs that actually are helpful and currently exist.
Nothing harmful to the game though or could be breaking the rules!
Please include clear instructions so we can all make use! -
Todays maintenance broke something. Every time I move an item in my base from one room to another, I get the map served message and I have to exit edit mode to get rid of it.
-
Ginormous rooms are no longer possible.
It was once possible to add side-by-side doorways to adjoiing rooms, creating what looked like double-sized rooms. One of the recent issues nerfed that ability though (which, btw, Devs, isn't it about time we got more options in the doorways?)
Knowing the nerf was coming, some of us placed our "double" doorwars ahead of time...and we get to keep them until we delete them. I'm one such luck person...I placed mine before the nerf.
The downside is design limitations. I can't move any of the rooms that have the double doors unless I am willing to lose those doors. I've already sacrificed several, including a doorwar that was 5 doors wide.
There is no way to make a room taller, other than dropping the floors and raising the ceiling.
Most likely, the person taking hte screenshot was on a small toon that gave a really good "worms-eye-view" as we call it in the comic book industry. -

Now farmers can farm in silence... this is a good thing.
[/ QUOTE ]
How will this be any different than finding full teams with max difficulty to do farming? Now people can do it solo, but ... So what? It actually means less loot over all if they do it with fewer players... Unless of course they team up with more then it'd be just like a normal farm.. They'd still only get to do spawns set for up to 8 man teams and then play them.
I don't know why everyone is acting like this is a golden ticket for farmers. All it really does is eliminate the need to pad which they were doing anyway so they still get to do what they want without annoying the rest of us.
[/ QUOTE ]
Less loot...but better drops in my experience. -

alt is a known troll. He's pretty much best ignored.
He's honestly the main one behind the anti-farm, veteran "elite" and I swear he does it just to rile people.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think the anti-farming group has a response to this. It's something that farmers have been asking for for a very long time, and this is the only response the anti-farmers have to offer.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong. I consider myself pretty unbiased on the issue, since I do farm, but I also understand the damage it causes to the game overall.
Rampant farming DOES cause a lot of damage to the game. If you have half a brain and understand this game, you can see that.
The "Veteran Elite"...hmmmn...I guess I would fall into that category too, since I've been playing since beta and my main has over 400 Badges (which shows I've actually leveled him the right way).
My personal view is this...I can understand someone wanting to farm if they need a 50 to unlock the epic archetypes. THAT I can understand.
I can even, sort of, understand why students want to farm because they have what? 2-3 months of quality game time before they either must leave the game or will have more limited access. I don't like it, but I understand it.
But I don't thing players should only farm. I think their first or second toon should be leveled without farming, so that they learn the ropes of the game properly, the way it was intended.
For example:
My first toon was an empath defender. At first, while experiementing in beta with him, I sort of liked him. Soloing was hard though (this was before farming).
Then I started my main, American Angel, as a Invulnerable/Super Strength tank. I started him in the three days before the game launch, when the beta testers were allowed to get in before everyone else. I eventually played him to lvl 17. This is back when levelling was a lot harder.
I then deleted him and rerolled him as a MA/Regen Scrapper...and never looked back.
He's completed nearly every story arc. He missed some though...because he out levelled them (we didn't have Ouroboros or the ability to turn off EXP back then).
About a month ago, I created a new toon...American Archangel. With him, I level, turn off exp, work through ALL contacts in all zones, then turn on exp again, and repeat.
My goal with him is to have every single contact worked through. It'll take time, but out of the dozen toons I have on blue side, I can handle it.
To be honest...it's been fun. I've gotten to revisit some old missions, but I've realized there is a lot of content I've missed...content that is not available through Ouroboros.
I would recommend this for anyone...to have one toon set aside to do things the long hard way...to work through every arc, whether a book misison or not...to unlock all the TFs with too.
Make a commitment to NOT farm that toon, and turn off exp whenever needed to avoid out leveling contacts.
Sounds like a grind? It's actually more fun than I've had in a long time. -

Suggestion:
Remove Auto SK from AE. This might also cut down on things.
[/ QUOTE ] If everybody was SKed to maybe 3 levels below the person who set up the mission, that would do a lot to make regular missions attractive compared to AE.
[/ QUOTE ]
This, of course, would be exactly what a farmer would suggest. Just for the exp bonus.
However, IF the devs have truly decided "If we can't beat them...join them" in regard to farming, then they may as well do what you suggest.
Truthfully, I'm a farmer at times...but I have to say...I'm now sick of it. Back when it was harder to get on farm teams, it seems more controlled. Now that it's so easy, it happens so much it's damaging the game. And that's the simple truth.
In all honesty though, once the school start up again, I suspect we'll see a drop in the farming. -

it's called server maintenance. it happens every monday and friday morning.
[/ QUOTE ]
Use to happen every work day. I wasn't aware it changed. When did this happen? Is there a link to the announcement? -
I will be going through it this weekend to do more editting. To be honest I'm a little burned out on all the edits, lol. I took me a month to make as it was, now the edits are taking another month.
I'll do them though.
I also added a special treat for Persons on Freedom Server that play it through...as is mentioned in the MA Souvenir as of today. (would have done it on all servers...but sadly, I don't have the resources elsewhere. -
[ QUOTE ]
Stealing from you? Yeah that's a load of BS. You didn't buy the booster so you're not out any money. Your sub fee only gets you access to the servers. The company doesn't promise anything more than that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not true. My monthly subscription, as with all other MMOs, is based on the promise of added content as time goes on...a "constantly evolving world".
But THIS change should have been a free one, and you all know it.
And for the record, I never claimed this was a "full-fldged" expansion pack...I said it is an expansion pack...which it is. It added to the game and there is a fee for it...that makes it an expansion.
Updates add to the game and are free. There's the difference.
BTW, after the next issue, you can expect another item added to the store...
...a "Full Reroll" type of respect so people can rechoose their power pools. (That I can understand charging for).
Charging for the gender thing is wrong, no matter how you dress it up.
As I said above, I understand charging for things like the wedding pack and the Mac Pack, and such...but that feature should have been made available to all.
And tell me something...how come other MMOs can expand with the Subscription fees to finance thm, but this one can't? Poor management of finances I'll bet.
