Is this a bug?

It use to be, if I map served I could click quit to loggin screen and I would go there, log right back in.

Now, most of the time that no longer works. I'm not talking about a hard crash where you have to verify files. But a relaunch of the game is required. No files get verified.

But when you quit to login sceen, it gives you trouble logging in, like when hte servers are down.

If you are disconnecting, and can't get back on, it sounds to me it's the network having the issue in this case. It might not be you. It might not be the servers, but possibly some point inbetween blocking your connection.

Wait, what?? If you get the mapserver message then it sends you to the log-in screen, there's no prompt to ask you what to do. I'm not following?

[/ QUOTE ] My guess is AA means that when you disconnect, you can normally just log right back in, but they seem to be getting denied as if the servers are down (telling me there is something wrong with the connection somewhere).

I think AA was just trying to clarify the type of disconnect by saying that they are not crashing, not being booted to desktop, and not being forced to verify files or anything. It seems to be a simple lost connection that wont reconnect.

The strange part about this scenario is that it sounds like restarting the client is allowing AA to log back in normally. That's a normally unnecessary step they would like to avoid. For that, we can only speculate the cause without more information, but I can say I haven't been experiencing the same thing.

Oooo! Heck, that could just be a timing thing. Whatever disconnected you is still in effect so you can't log in until it stops. If you quit out of the game and come back, that gives the whatever more time to vanish.
