It is hard to make small adjustments when the only tool you own is a battle axe.

Well guys, i'm out, been playing this game for 4 years. Too much has changed it's not the "girl" I met back then. I did mainly PvP in Siren's, some know me as Butterfly Kiss (the PFF Watcher) and Envious (the elusive stalker) but after being killed over and over today while hidden (max stealth) I know this game has lost any enjoyment for me. With the nerf to defense there's no sane reason to stay. Hey I almost made it to Issue 14. Good Luck, Have Fun... and see you guys on the Flip-side.

Another friend of mine just quit as well thanks to the pvp changes. 57 month veteran leaves for AoC. -
Ultima, you might wanna re-think IOing out that tank. From the other thread I was reading, defense is garbage now and defense debuffs will wreck stuff like shields.

Meh, does anything make sense under the new system?
[/ QUOTE ]
[censored] no.
I12 made more sense than this piece of [censored] we have now. -
The trash talking in this came is lulzy compared to xbox live, AoC or WoW.

Players need to adapt, though adapting to a system that is less fun and a heck of a lot more confusing than before is not good for the game or the playerbase.
[/ QUOTE ]
Call me an ignorant bafoon or a not a "real pvper". But yeah I didn't adapt because this new system is all sorts of [censored] up it ain't even funny. -
My Sonic/thermal has 23.9 points of KB Protection but hell if I know if KO Blow is enough to stop it. I haven't gone into RV since i13 went live.

I13 was a big step forward in the PvP game and greatly improved my PvP experience. Now it is possible for me to bring my fire brute to a zone and have a chance of winning against any archtype, just as any archtype now has a chance of winning against me. The challenge makes the game fun.
Elusivity is being toned down in I14 which will hopefully fix your personal force field issues. If not then I am sure reasonable and precise feedback on the issue will provoke the change you desire.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry you think that way Jake. But you're wrong. I13 didn't balance squat. -

They just need to change it back. Keep DR for IO set bonuses to stay in check, keep supression. All good?
[/ QUOTE ]
[censored] no. Get rid of it entirely.
[ QUOTE ]
Honestly, this entire issue's pvp "Fixes" should go in the trash IMO of course
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. -
Cause that's balance, brah.

It would work against /nin stalkers without having to mez them. /nin has no KB protection.
Edit: Clouded, if you're playing a energy/energy blaster, you shouldn't have to worry about tanks/scrappers unless you're going into.. Warburg. But in the RV world, you'd raise all kinds of hell against /nin stalkers, and if you can mez any other brute/stalker before you KB that'd be a pain in the [censored].
However if you were attacking dom out of domination, a corruptor, or an MM you'd def give them a hard time me thinks. -
About the stormy part, i can't really answer because I've never played one. However...
[ QUOTE ]
Uhm.... also as a general PvP etiquette question, is it taboo to utilize the NPCs in the zone to your advantage? I started a fight near a group of Longbow and the person seemed very upset about it.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can answer this part though.
It depends on which way you look at it. One view is the "Anything goes" mentality, if you utilize the NPCs to help neutralize your opponent that is an option and you can do so.
Another way of looking at it, is that you're considered a "noob" because you had to rely on NPCs to do some of your dirty work and you're not a "true" pvper or don't have real "skill".
Personally, give how overpowered the longbow NPCs and the heavies are in PvP, I'd considered a little bit of a dick move but on the flip side, if I see someone purposely trying to bait me into fighting them by the NPCs I'm gonna keep my distance. Just because of how blatantly overpowered they are. If they don't wanna come away from the NPCs to fight me, then whatever, their loss. Some people however will raise all kind of hell because they just can't seem to stay away from the NPCs. -
[ QUOTE ]
Heck you could replace CP with a passive that gave some modest global endredux, some end drain resistance or -recovery debuff resistance and some psi def... that'd do it.
[/ QUOTE ]
This intrigues me...I like it. -
[ QUOTE ]
people have left Placate from their build? that's a new one for me...
[/ QUOTE ]
lolwut? -
[ QUOTE ]
Lastly I don't remember fighting you, but if I did fight you and you did beat me, then it just further proves pff should be left as is.
[/ QUOTE ]
So you're saying if you LOST while using an overpowered power, then PFF needs to stay as is?
God you must be terribad and have a HORRIBLE grasp of pvp mechanics to think this.
It's [censored] broke, you just don't want to admit it. Coming on here defending it just shows how much more ignorant you are and how bad you really are at pvp. -
[ QUOTE ]
Just sit in your favorite pvp zone and see what toons people are complaining about and get that lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, except most of the people in zones are stupid and complain about just about anything.
[/ QUOTE ]
No kidding.
