Yeah. One of the biggest and saddest things ever happened to Christianity was when people started teaching other people what they had read in the bible (and writing their own versions of it) instead of teaching people to go read the bible and discuss what they found there.

And it's not "everything written in the bible is a lie", it's more "everything and anything (even that which seems oh-so-simple) written in the bible might contain more information than you get from hearing a translated version without the surrounding and referenced text." Bible leans heavily on intertextuality - one could compare it to the modern "hypertext" where a document can contain metainformation and be linked to other documents because of this underlying info. Translations destroy most of that information as it's usually encoded in the word-choices and how the letters of those words translate to numbers in the original language. But luckily and of course, some of the metadata still remains through translations (Why 5 loaves, 2 fish... why not 6 loaves...?). The Bible is very thought-out book. Taking it as just "funny stories, of which some are boring and some are important, with whatever numbers and names that just popped into the writer's head" is the undervaluation of the millennium (or two)
And just so you don't think otherwise, I do believe "Do not kill" and "Do not steal" are good guidelines for life.
Edit: PS. And whatever you do, don't take the words of a person who doesn't speak your language (a Finn in this case) on a MMO forum about a book written in third and fourth, as some form of truth you need to believe. He might be lying about some things. You'll never know without going back to the source and then spending time thinking about it yourself. In fact pretty much everything you come across should be questioned. Even more so if it's about your faith or lack of it in things. -

One of eternal questions of man, eh? But, what it's worth, the bible's much more interesting than it appears at a quick glance (the one usually taken by zealots and your run of the mill members of the church these days) - intertextuality, number-based riddles and other stuff span both testaments. It's naturally a teaching tool for a moral ethos, but the answers usually lie a bit under the surface and require you to think on multiple levels. It's basically a big couple of books that teach you not to take anything you've read for granted or at face value but to think for yourself. -

Depends quite a lot on which of the folk tales you're reading into.
But ignoring Lilith (as she's a nice diversion while I read the English translation) sticking to the traditional English Bible (KJB, first I could find), Gen 1 has God creating man in his image as something with dominion over all he's made that has both the sexes in it.
Hardly "a whole male setup until Eve" even with just the basic books of the modern bible. -

Which sort of makes sense, if you read the "man" created in Genesis 1 as Satan (as an image of God himself, both male and female), who is given the lands to rule as he sees fit, and the Genesis 2 "man from dust" as the man that later turns into us.
This way, Satan really has dominion over all lands to rule as he sees fit, and actually had the power to turn that power to Jesus at the desert. -

Yeah. Pretty much this. But what I was pointing to was the "Angels are sons of god, Satan is a fallen angel, thus Satan is Male" argument, which is flawed logic if Satan is "a fallen divine power" -

Going on a vague memory here, but isn't it in written in Revelations that the fallen are "Satan's Angels" (maybe something like "satan and his angels") or something to similar effect, separating Satan from the angels altogether.

Actually, the main difference for me was (according to mids') that DC is 25% endurance/hit and Consume is 20% endurance/hit. I reasoned that at the point where I need endurance, I might have not that many enemies left to begin with. Most likely facing off a single enemy.

I'd probably take the old slotting of Shadow Punch compared to the new one, and ditch Kismet from Combat Jumping to get SP back to 6-slotted. The accuracy boost (+91%, that's 2-3 accuracy SOs in every power IIRC) from Enhancement Sets should compensate for most of PvE situations well enough. And this won't be useful in PvP in any way.
The ToHit Debuff set enhancement in Midnight Grasp didn't have a ToHit Debuff component in it, it was purely endurance/recharge one. Something you don't find in damage sets. As said, Accuracy isn't an issue with the build and Damage in MG is capped thanks to the Purples in it, so slotting a accuracy/damage/recharge instead of a recharge/endurance is a bit wasteful. Also, brought back Dark Consumption for quick endurance backup if faced with something nasty that does end drain as /Fire isn't that huge on res(end drain)

Depends on the character with me. With this I think I checked what pool powers I needed first and then went on to see how many slots I had left for primary/secondary powers. And after that dropped some powers and took some others and repeated until got to the build that was meant for set bonus and power checking. Fine-tuning comes later

Solid 4-punch chain with Shadow Punch, Smite and Boxing (SP-Smite-SP-Box-..). But Boxing doesn't do wonders to the DPS so the actual ST chain I can see myself using will have SP, Smite, Midnight Grasp, Burn and Web 'Nade in it. And it should be quite good (with Healing Flames, Consumption and Soul Drain and stuff thrown in every now and again in real situations) With AoE it's pretty much Soul Drain, Healing Flames, Caltrops, Burn, Shuriken I guess. And if something still lives move to ST mode.

Well, to entertain Shanny, here's the build with some more sense to the level of powers. It's still not a leveling build (and will never be because I tend to level my toons to 20 without fitness powers and respec the pool in), but closer to one.
And, switched swift to temperature protection for the added knockback resistance.

"Sets" in this case meaning /fire and dark/ (Fiery Embrace, Soul Drain, combined give pretty decent +dmg buff)

I find it a bit squishy for my taste, it will depend mainly on how fast can you get rid of foes with Soul Drain + Blazing Aura + Caltrops plus your cursos should never get far from healing flames.

Yeah, Healing Flames will be the thing keeping me alive. That and hopefully the ability to take out bad things nice and fast. I don't really know how /fire performs as a scrapper, with far less hitpoints than a tank, but I guess there's just one way to find out

My aversion towards scrappers still continues, but I've been thinking about doing a Dark/Fire/Fire now that they're available. Pretty much considering combining a single target chainsaw build with the AoE and sillier-than-thou damage buffs that come naturally from the sets.
The endurance usage worries me a bit, but can't really bring it down much more, and don't know what I could switch for the other endurance gain power.. As usual, this is not a leveling build and the order of powers might not be the perfect one (haven't thought of exemplaring on this). More about set efficiency and thoughts if some power switches could benefit the chainsaw build more...
(oh and ignore the levels of the enhas, I know there aren't lv 53 inventions, my hero designer is just acting out again)
