Thank you all for the useful information.
Actually, I manage to AS Rikti Drones regularly when doing solo. The tricks are Speed and Position. First you hit Build Up. Then you can either TP or SS (or at least very fast sprint with swift) yourself right behind it (or at least anywhere that is not at the front of it). It would take a second or two for it to turn around and react to you. You would have just enough time to AS it dead.
The AS might be interrupted the first time when you press the button possibly because you are still moving (usually happens right after you stop SS but TP does not seems to have that problem). Just press that AS button again and again until the animation is started.
You could still AS a drone even if there is another nearby. Again, speed and position are the trick. In a big team when there are more that a few of them, well, you just have to scrape them till they break. -
I know that:
Hide + Stealth + Sealth recipe will always at stealth cap.
How about:
Hide + Super Speed + Stealth recipe?? Would it still hit stealth cap??
Also, what is the stealth radius that SS comes with?
Thanks -
Please help:
Which enemy groups drop Soulbound Allegiance?
Or simply, where do I find it other than the Black Market?
Thanks alot -
Try to read some post in the US forum under PvP, etc. Spend some time there.
By the way, you are cross posting -

Elec/Elec for stalkers?
Theres already elec/elec stalkers on their way in i12
[/ QUOTE ]
It's ok. I won't count that in.
Oh well, I will count Puppetry as well. -
It might be a bit early to post this up. But since there are many posts on new powersets, I will brave it and have a go at it. Also, since Bab has indicated that there will be more power proliferation in the later issues (i13 onwards, I presume), we might as well start now, give them a few months (long enough time, I guess) to understand what we want. And also give the Devs enough time explain why certain things could not and would not be done.
Let's call it a consultation exercise.
What new powersets would you like to see THE MOST porting between CoH and CoV in i13 or later issues?
----------------Primary-------------Secondary
Blaster------------?----------------------?
Controller---------?----------------------?
Defender----------?----------------------?
Scrapper----------?----------------------?
Tanker -----------?----------------------?
Brute-------------?----------------------?
Corruptor---------?----------------------?
Dominator---------?----------------------?
Mastermind-------N/A--------------------?
Stalker-----------?----------------------?
You don't have to fill in the whole table if you don't know what you want for the ATs you rarely play. But just keep it simple: choose just ONE powerset per AT.
You can see I am leaving MM primary out. It is because, if MMs are getting any new primary, it is likely to be a brand new set. There is another post discussing MM primary already. Let's leave that out for now.
And please be reasonable, taking into account of the limitations the Devs are facing.
Keep posting, and we will have a 'Most Wanted' list soon!

Which pets would benefit most from the new /Storm Summoning?

This is possible to do with just a single click/press using text files to load your binds. I have it bound to the 3 key on my ninja/FF MM and use these two files:
C:\Binds\MM1.txt
[ QUOTE ]
3 "+down$$-down$$unselect$$petselectname Oni$$bind_load_file C:/Binds/MM2.txt"
[/ QUOTE ]
C:\Binds\MM2.txt
[ QUOTE ]
3 "+down$$-down$$powexec_name Smoke Flash$$bind_load_file C:/Binds/MM1.txt"
[/ QUOTE ]
Change the petselectname to cast on another pet.
[/ QUOTE ]
Would you help me to understand this bind system as well.
What does this part of the command do: +down$$-down$$unselect$$......
And in fact, what does "+down$$-down" do?
Thanks -
To be fair, I want Earth too.
Actually, I can't decide whether I want Illusion or Earth. What a tough choice. -
Illusion is more popular that Earth Control. If only judging by how many people will be happy with the Proliferation, Illusion seems a likely. -
Oh dear.
When do we get i12. I am dying to know -

Ice Melee has two powers wich would have to go: Freezing Touch and Frozen Aura. One can become AS, but what replaces the other? You need to make a completly new power, therefore lots of work. Edit: looked through possible powers that could be ported from other sets, and the only real option is Ice Sword Circle.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh wait, I was just looking through a typical Stalker powers. Apart from AS, a stalker also need Build Up and Placate. Whether it will be stone or ice, Build Up and Placate also need to import into the new powerset. Once adding Build Up and Placate, Ice Melee might just work.
[ QUOTE ]
Ice armour also has two powers that have to go: Icicles and Chilling Embrace. One becomes hide, but what do you do with the other? Again, you need to make a new power. Loosing CE hurts the defensive capability of Ice Armour to. Futher edit: Shiver would be my choice for porting.
[/ QUOTE ]
For Icicles and Chilling Embrace, simply remover the Taunt elements would do, I guess.
Brute can have Regeneration or Super Reflexes . I guess. -
[ QUOTE ]
But Stone/Stone, Seismic Smash becomes AS, Mud Pots becomes Hide, do a little reordering, and you are done. Easy.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fair point. Can't argue with that. I just fancy Ice/Ice. Since Ice/Ice was dropped from Brute, it might be a chance to bring it back into the Villain powersets.
On paper, Ice seems to have more reasons (except the ease of re-animation); Stone seems easier.
Hmmmm... -
Yeah! Finally someone else think it might be Ice too! -
Macro helps you to string two power together. The effect is that the first one power will follow the second one almost immediately.
The problem with SF and Jonin is that you need human intervention in between the two powers. So by having to choose which pet to click, you break up the command chain of Macro.
More see here: http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Macro
So, I think you really have to take a few steps of clicking around in order to get SF going. -
My ninja mm does not have Smoke Flash yet. I might not be entirely correct, but, in short, you can't macro that function. It is because you have to 'Click' on Jonin first before choosing Smoke Flash. Macro won't let you do that.
But then, please check with others. -
LetÂ’s look at it this way:
The attacking powers that are common to Tanker, Scrapper and Stalker are:
Claws (Scr, Sta)
Dark Melee (Scr, Sta)
Ninja Blade/Katana (Scr, Sta)
Martial Arts (Scr, Sta)
Spines (Scr, Sta)
Dual Blades (Scr, Sta, Tan)
Energy Melee(Tan, Sta)
The attacking powers that Tanker and Scrapper have but Stalker does not are:
(all from Tanker)
Super Strength
Fiery Melee
Ice Melee
Stone Melee
Battle Axe (taken by Brute)
War Mace (taken by Brute)
(from Scrapper)
Broad Sword
So the real options for Stalker are:
Super Strength
Fiery Melee
Ice Melee
Stone Melee
Broad Sword
Likewise:
The defensive powers that are common to Tanker, Scrapper and Stalker are:
Dark Armor (Scr, Sta)
Regeneration (Scr, Sta)
Super Reflexes (Scr, Sta)
Willpower (Scr, Sta, Tan)
The defensive powers that Tanker and Scrapper have but Stalker does not are:
Invulnerability (Tan, Scr)
Stone Armor (Tan)
Fiery Aura (Tan)
Ice Armor (Tan)
So the real options for Stalker are:
Invulnerability
Stone Armor
Fiery Aura
Ice Armor
What would Stalker gets (notice they are in matching pairs, except Broad Sword which does not have any matching Secondary)?
Primary------------------ Secondary
Super Strength-------------- Invulnerability
Fiery Melee------------------- Fiery Aura
Ice Melee----------------------Ice Armor
Stone Melee----------------- Stone Armor
Broad Sword
Since there are Super Strength/Invulnerability, Fiery Melee/Fiery Aura and Stone Melee/Stone Armor available for Brute already. To avoid too much overlapping of powers, Ice Melee, Ice Armor and Broad Sword (may be not so likely) are the most possible set of new powers. -
Interesting...
There seems to be no obvious choice for stalker.
Something to be surprised about
But what if a Stalker get a ranged power from Blaster or Corrupter, albeit the attack will be modified?
-
Ice Melee offers -speed as a secondary effect. It gives Stalker a fighting chance if it has to scrap a bit. The -speed also helps to cover the escape route. Besides, no other villain ATs have it, why not stalker then.
How about Broad Sword? Ninji Blade is fast but weak. Stalker could use something stronger. Ideally stalkers should finish a fight as soon as possible since their are not build for a prolonged fight (no fury and lower damage output than scrapper say it all). Broad Sword, and in fact Fire Melee as well, offer a better alternative. The basic tactic of Stalker, as I always think, is the reverse of Brute: use hide and AS then follow by Placate and Critical; and take down a large portion of the enemy's HP as fast as possible and get out there. Whereas Brute perfer to stay on a fight to build Fury for further fight.
So, Broad Sword and Fire Melee are possible too.
Personally, I would like to see Broad Sword or Ice Melee make their way into Stalker's primary. -
I have just remembered that there is a 45% (or thereabouts) Defence Soft Cap on each ATs. So, no matter how much Defence bonus Vengeance is going to give you, unless you have been badly debuff on Defence by your enemies, you are not going to take advantage of the Defence buff from Vengeance. The same applise to your teammates and pets as well.
But to be fair, 45% Defence (soft cap) is good enough to keep you alive unless you are fighting the impossible. -
There you go: http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/Patron_Power_Pools
I perfer Soul Mastery for MM. It seems relatively better than others. But really, their are quite similar. -
I have never played Thug. But you might find it useful there: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showf...=0#Post4010478
Unfortunately no Thug/Trap combination. But you can read some other build with Trap -
It's a Tank mode.
And to make it effective, you need: 1) macro/bind 'defensive' and 'follow' into one key and macro/bind 'defensive (or aggressive, or passive)' and 'attack my target' to another; and 2) very quickly switch between the two so that you can tank and attack.
It does take some time to getting use to. -

Quite a lot. But very informative and useful
