And what's with no Hersheys wrapped in foil? I just had one tonight.

    Macesters!

    Blasting maces!

We already have them in the Mace Mastery PPP. Hope they become a full set for Blasters.

One can say the same about Empathy.

Time Manipulation is mainly a buff/debuff in the pure sense that it affect allies and foes stats. Not much to see in terms of affects on targets.

I haven't seen anything that suggested the tokens would be given out all at once. The last time it was even mentioned as a possibility, people shot the idea down pretty quickly with reminders that the current Vet system doesn't work that way. (After all, I'd have my 60 month now if it did, rather than just the 48...)

Yes, they'll accrue on your normal cycle date, regardless of your billing plan.

On a similar note in the future should you chose to continue the yearly sub, you will be allocated ALL of your Paragon Reward Tokens to spend up front for the year instead of having to wait for monthly rewards as the current veteran rewards program works.
Other conversations made it clear the 400/month happens every month, even with advanced subs -- the monthly Points don't ever get frontloaded.

Tokens, on the other hand, do. And probably likely those of us on a longer term plan will see all those Tokens up front when FREEDOM comes.

It'll be nice if they hand me a year's worth of tokens all at once, but from what's been said it doesn't seem that's the case. It sounds like people with multi-month subscriptions will still get them one at a time, on what would be our monthly "billing date" if we were still month-to-month...

The Paragon Points, on the other hand, may all show up at once. There have been statements made at various times that make it sound like it could go either way with them. I haven't seen anything that suggests we'll get all the vet-replacements in one lump sum for pre-paid time, though.

It would be nice, yeah... I want those wings ... But I really don't think it's going to work that way.
Actually, it's the other way around. Points are doled out per month, even if you purchased in advanced.

But Zwillinger specifically said that if you, for example, paid for 3 months, then 3 Tokens would be granted all at once.

What is unknown is for those who've already purchased in advanced if those associated Tokens will come all out once or be doled out once per month.

But you can add an extra year's purchase to your recurring subscription *now* (well, after FREEDOM goes live) and get 12 Tokens immediately. That will just push off your auto-renewal to a year later.

If you wait for FREEDOM to come out. And then take advantage of the discount of a one year subscription, then 12 Reward Tokens will be dumped on you up front taking you to Tier 9 VIP status immediately.

    Enjoy your energy wings.

You can create placeholder toons with the names of the ones you want to transfer and delete them, one a month, as you transfer over their namesake, once a month for free.

Hopefully that's a waypoint marker and not something that floats above all the contacts' heads.
  10. Update on Hoverboard speed:

I'm sure the issue with the new flight powers (Afterburner and Hoverboard) is that there are no animations for being in that state and using powers. And adding them in for three different models is several hundred new animations.

Yeah, let me edit that. The one who reported it said it was like Walk in that other powers grey out. I thought he meant it had the same speed. He's going to get the Real Numbers figure on it's flight speed tomorrow.

Although, I remember when Hover was practically Walk speed.

As I'm sure you know, critters at your level and up to 6 levels above you have a base 50% chance to hit you. Personal Defense lowers that to a minimum 5% (times rank Accuracy, which can bring an AV's minimum to hit up to about 10%). Which means, having more than 45% Defense is useless... in a majority of cases. If a foe has +ToHit buff or applies a -Def debuff to you, having more than 45% Defense is better.

Some of the foes in Incarnate Trials have a base 64% chance to hit you. This means you need 59% personal Defense to floor their chance to hit you down to the minimum of 5%.

Is it worth building up to that? No.

Incarnate Trials are purposely designed such that no one can solo them. They are truly team encounters. With a large league of teammates and allies, their team buffs should easily stack to take you to the new soft cap of 59%. You just have to be careful about running off by yourself in an iTrial. But two small Defense inspirations will bring you up to the new iTrial soft cap.
  15. I hope that newbie who plunked $500 down for all the Rewards enjoys their Greek Letters.
  16. So, between this:

Q: Are there any incentives to maintaining my subscription or reactivating my subscription before City of Heroes Freedom launches?
A: Current subscribers and former subscribers that reactivate their accounts earn 400 Paragon Points per month beginning July 1, 2011. Any active subscriber also earns Reward Tokens in our new Paragon Rewards program.
    And this:

We can rework the Reward Tokens you get thusly:

At the time that FREEDOM is released, use this formula:

N/4 + N/12 (N = Number of months subscribed, drop remainders from both terms)

+1 Token per month starting in July 2011.

And if you want to 'buy out' the rest of the Reward Tier Tree, you can pay $15 per Token needed (and also get 1,200 Points for each $15 you spend) by means of buying Points, OR... You can pay your subscription ahead of time and get 1 Paragon Point immediate for each future month you pay for.

I *like* that. If my scheme truly is technically insurmountable as much as Arcanaville says, then the booby prizes can be replaced or sweetened with Paragon Points, which in turn allow the player to buy an item they're really interested in (maybe an emote).

What they say about the badges is not precise enough to know what their plan is.

As to the light/dark empathy/pain. Part might be to distinguish the two, which are otherwise VERY similar, part VERY likely to be the dev's ideas on themes. See: Why ice can only be color whitish/desaturated/pastels.
The purpose of being able to visually identify a particular power was so that PvPers would know what is being used against them.

I'll leave it as an exercise to the readers to find the many faults in that statement once they stop laughing.
  23. The situation was that there was an inherently illogical reason for what they did and they refused to see the illogic.

And now, the basis for that illogical reasoning is disappearing from the game. If they continue to hold onto it, it will no long be an act of logical gymnastics but an exercise in absurdity.
