  1. If you like redside there's also Global Villains, it's meant to be for all servers but 99% of the people in the channel are from protector.
  2. So I guess the OP is going to hate the new Sorcery power pool...
  3. I think killing off an important character is a way of showing they mean business. If there's no chance that someone is going to die then any threat made in the story is meaningless. If the arc hadn't been named "Who Will Die" then any time a signature hero was threatened our reaction would have been "pffft, yeah right, like they're really going to kill off a major character", but now those threats suddenly have a bit more meaning.

As someone who runs through all the SFs regularly I would love to see these gaps filled. Generally the disparity between SFs and TFs doesn't bother me as much because strike forces tend to be of a much higher quality than the task forces (mainly talking about the legacy task forces like citadel or numina). But yeah, the WST really highlights the difference in quantity.

So...Black Swan is better/more powerful than Tyrant
Keep in mind, if I understand this correctly, that during the Black Swan fight random people lose their incarnate powers temporarily. This probably includes the level shifts, which could explain why it took so long.
  6. The Who Will Die marathon was loads of fun! We started out with a team of 8 and 3 hours and 50 minutes later we finished with a team of 4, 2 of which weren't even on the original team. This was a fun event and I'd like to do it again sometime, but I'll have to make sure to do it earlier in the day since it's almost as long as a doc quarterfield.

I took a few screenshots of the team roster and the ending stats, but since there's so many I won't bother posting them here, I'll just have them in the Photo Album for anyone who's interested.

Next week we're back to following the List with the Lady Grey Strike Force! So if you're in the mood for Rikti, Rikti, and more Rikti meet up next Sunday, April 8th at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

Thats Representative of about 8 hours worth of playing around 6 TFs plus some sweeping in DA... IDK what the pool is they inserted these into but I am getting them in all levels of TFs once I hit 50. even when maled down. I have yet to see any drop on a toon that has not yet achieved 50... So I think its prob working as designed... we will see...

Seems to me to be very similar to Shard drop ratios... And same drop quality status as shards. white common... Just have to be alpha unlocked to achieve them. So its prob part of the same drop pool.
I got one on my level 49 soldier of arachnos yesterday while doing a Mortimer Kal SF.

This is how I always do it, but mostly because I enjoy all the TFs that award components. Really the only hard part is convincing enough people to join a LRSF or a Barracuda, but if you form at the right time of day on the weekends even those are easy to get going. Typically once a character of mine hits 50 by the end of the next day I have my tier 3 alpha.
  10. Last sunday there seemed to be more interest than usual and the team was filled before I even had a chance to spam the global channels. First we ran a 3rd Respec Trial, which served as a good warm-up for the main event: the Lord Recluse Strike Force. We aimed for a master run, but we weren't really trying that hard so naturally it failed, which of course gave me the freedom to be stupidly reckless.

Now this upcoming sunday I'd like to do something different. Now that the final chapter of the signature story arc is out I'm going to run a Who Will Die marathon, where we'll run through all 7 parts of the Who Will Die story redside. So if you enjoy watching Statesman die as uselessly as he lived meet up in Cap Au this Sunday, April 1st at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

If it's really a matter of time I'll volunteer to fix every spelling error in the game for free. Just email me the relevant files and I'll get them back to you by the end of next week. I have about 3 hours a day that I can spend working on them during the week, and lots of time this weekend.

Edit: Only the English version though, I have a feeling I'd make things worse if I tried to fix typos in the languages I don't speak. >.>

  14. I had the idea a while back about going for the various Ouroboros badges, but I don't know if those are awarded to the whole team or just the team leader?

I'm looking forward to summer when I'll be off work and can participate in these again.

Granted that would be quite bad for "People like me", which I'm assuming means either people with super powers or people who oppose him, or both. But he also mentions that he knows what must be done to save the world, I'm guessing that once lady grey is done ripping apart his mind that knowledge will come into play with the coming storm.

Manticore would never have needed to kill her after all, and the obelisk would have shattered.

    Right?
He also learned from the ordeal with Synapse that if the person whose powers you're stealing isn't killed that the obelisk will self-destruct. My guess is that he waited till Manticore shot her to activate the obelisk and steal her power.

Now to play devil's advocate: How bad would it have been if Wade hadn't been stopped? He did all this because he wanted power and knowledge, but he didn't seem to have any plans for ruling the world with that power, at least none that he mentioned. What if he really could keep Rularuu under control? The only information suggesting he couldn't was what Faathim said, but we don't know enough about him to know if he would lie or not.

He seemed to have quite the inferiority complex when it came to super powers, so I think it was less a convienence thing and more of a "these are two of the most powerful and well known super powered beings on the planet, killing them will SHOW THEM ALL!!!" sort of thing.

First mission: You go back to the Cimerora temple to locate Wade, or find evidence. Arachnos is there first. You put the boot to Ghost widow, then talk to Scirocco and he gives you the knowledge that Wade is in the shadow shard.

Second mission: You hit the shadow shard. Kill Ruladak, talk to Faathim, (who has unique dialogue if you have his badge), he tells you Wade is on an Island in the Pacific.

Mission three. You get to the Island and can talk to a few of the heroes you've dealt with, such as Penelope Yin and Lord Recluse. You go topside and you see a bunch of FLOATING SHIPS surrounding a massive shield covering the island. You go into one of the other ships, either flying or hopping from ship to ship. You get the info that you are gonna need a LOT of firepower to break the shield.

Mission 4: Where are you gonna get firepower? Warburg. You get there, and Malta has tried to take over. You fight Malta and a bunch of tanks with sapper technology, and get control of the nukes. Short mission

mission 5: During all this, Wade's island has begun floating. It is now in the upper atmosphere and he is summoning Rularuu. You go INTO SPAAAAAACE, and fight a bunch of soldiers of Ru, then finally Rularuu wade.

Epilogue: Press conference. Questions asked are "Why did you save the world" and "Who will we look to now that statesman is gone" and, even as a villain, I could say "I will protect you." As you walk out, Manticore says he "Knows your true nature" and attacks. You beat him down. You get a few "Where are they now" scenes, Posi is leader of the Phalanx, Penelope has joined, few other inconsequential things.

    THE END

Also, Wade is a whiny pancake who just wanted to be "Free", and Lady grey is torturing all the information about Rularuu out of him
I attacked the press conference, all I got to fight were some vanguard soldiers though. The rest was the same. Not sure about the hero version, but the arachnos patrons all play quite a big role throughout this one.
  20. Count me in (as long as there's no Hami raid). Zharalim, my War Mace/Regen brute, is one of my biggest characters so I'll bring him.

Haha, abe's speech in the middle of that thing was gold!
  22. There's a pretty severe AI issue that's cropped up recently. It was reported in This Thread but basically MM pets will charge some of the AVs in incarnate trials and some missions. Specifically they will run back and forth as if they can't decide if they want to charge the AV, then eventually they will charge. It's confirmed for Lambda, BAF, and the final mission of the Tin Mage Task Force. In my experience setting them to passive will keep them in line, but others have reported that even that didn't work.
  23. Oops, I'm getting lazy with my updates here! So last week was double XP so when we ran our ITF it was a shard/xp run! We also managed a SFS record 41 deaths!

    Deaths: 41

Tomorrow I'll be start up with a quick 3rd Treespec (level 44+) which should only take about 10-13 minutes, then I'll move on to a Lord Recluse Strike Force (level 45+), possibly a master run if everyone is up for it. So meet up in Nerva tomorrow, March 25th at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

When I22 launched it introduced a bug where MM pets and Lore pets will run off into groups, usually when the league/team is standing around buffing up before a tough fight. I found that putting them on passive will keep them from running off, but it's hard to get everyone on a league to listen and do that when they bring out their lore pets.
