Well I bits the bullet and spent the 20 bucks on buying 5 more slots, so I have more room to add more insane MA arcs!
Just added:
Title: Library Restoration Project - The Hollows Recovery
Levels: 15 - 20
Villain sets: Circle of Thorns, Trolls, Custom
Length: Long - 4 missions
ID Number: 328252
Summary: You and your team are sent into the ruins of the nearly collapsed library in the Hollows zone to recover any books you can find. The books are supposed to be regular collection titles, but for some reason the Circle of Thorns is grabbing every one of them, and have hired the Trolls to assist... -
Just to let you all know, Champion Forums still exists as a normal chat channel.
I look at all that craziness in the BMT chats though and I wonder "DAMMIT WHY HAVE I MISSED OUT?" Waaaaaaaahhh -
I gotta ask is Aion any good?
I've tried Guild Wars but could never get the hang of it. -
I'll have a plate of 'em, Myr.

Avast ye seadogs of DOOOOOM!
I be calling all pirates to work this Saturday, not for sweat and blood and tears but for RUM! And Badges! And RUM! And maybe a slice of french silk pie, mmmmmmm. Anywho.
I will be personally bringing Wittypirate out to Hess TF that afternoon, at 12 noon EST, and will see about another Hess TF run at 2 PM EST. Let's try for a Master of Hess TF, shall we?
Sad to say, but it being Football Saturday I have a football game to attend that evening, and the afternoon before it will be busy for me. So I call upon my fellow pirates to keep the day full of piracy! I heartily recommend my krewe to head to AE buildings of their convenience and try to find every decent pirate arc on the game grid. I can name a few (well, okay, my own Rum Runner mish at ID # 3691 arrrrrr), but if ye know of any, or have yer own pirate arc, feel free to have yer mates smash and grab their way to pirate victory!!!
And don't forget to stop off at the Cafe Du Monde for beingets, wait Myr corrected me it's beignets. Either way, they're tasty dammit. Mmmmmmm. -
Issue 16: all pirate tankers can now use red as a color. or black. or... what other colors do pirates use?
-
FIrst thing I'm gonna do is build my Pirate Mastermind AT...
...what...? -
Quote:Customization in terms of Color effects? When do you think we'll get real customization on things like Aim, Buildup and perhaps Power Pools and Epic/Patron powers?
I think Aim and Buildup get color alterations. The only thing I've seen that you can't change color for is the Granite Armor on Stone Armor sets. -
I have a 21 tanker, 17 tanker, and 6 tanker... would prefer running a sister psyche TF (levels 20-25 for xp) if at least 5 people can join the team...
-
What would you need for MA Monday tonight?
Let's see, I got... Blaster... Tanker... Scrapper... Defender... Controller... Peacebringer... MM... Dominator... Crab Soldier... 44 Fort Widow... Hrmmm, choices, choices... -
Shardtoberfest is, I believe, the one where everyone eats oversized pretzels and drinks lukewarm lager. Tsk. SHARDTOBER IS FOR THE RUM, BABY!
I kinda like this poster, mostly because the colors came out so nice:
-
Well, only got as far as 4.5 chapters.
I am still working on it. Hopefully find a few free days, get a chapter done a day, see if I can get it done before SHARDTOBER!!! -
Bring me moar pirate tankers! Kilts optional.
-
3-Day Novel Contest is UNDERWAY.
I even have the opening line done. Took me one hour to write it!
"As I begin writing this, there is a full moon above us."
Actually this is true. There's a full moon tonight.
So, anyway. If any of you see me in any way shape or form on the game this weekend until Monday evening, YELL AT ME SORRY -SS! Danke.
I might *MIGHT* make it to MA Monday, but I will have to show my progress: 120 pages or nothing.
-
...not even one comment yet on the bad puns...???

Quote:Champion server is a mostly Heroside server dedicated to massive Hami and Mothership raids, ergo a vast majority of characters will be at the high-end scale and not hanging aboot Atlas Park or the other lower level zones as much.Kinda looking around for a new home. Can anyone tell me a little bit about this server?
The forum seems populated and friendly enough, but it always seems a ghost town when I pop in game.
Also is a West Coast timed server, so if you're East Coast coming on around 11 am every morning you may have to wait a few hours before more people clock in. Most activities start about 7 pm EST, and sometimes 9 pm EST.
While many players in Champion are friendly, do be aware we have our fair share of DRAMA. -
The point of this thread, btw, is to BRING ME MOAR PIRATES! Cmon you seadogs...!
If ye build a pirate tanker, global meh at @witty librarian and plan on a time to gather for the SG invite. Thing is, from Saturday to Monday this Labor Day weekend I will be a bit... occupied (3-Day Novel Contest) so maybe by Monday eve if I've gotten enough of the novel done... -
Mm. Well, the Shardtober posters are up on another thread. Which no one has looked at! Cmon ppl. I put some effort into lousy puns there...!

For those who already know... the month draws near...
For those newly arrived to the eternal struggle in Paragon City... let you now be told that the shadows in October shudder... and bend... and blink... and in that second you see the sunless abyss gazing back at you, it becomes SHARDTOBER...
Seriously? Shardtober is a month-long event I suggested years ago in an attempt to get people to team up and run what was then the rarely-played Shard Realm Task Forces. The Shard TFs (Dr. Quaterfield, Sara Moore, Justin Augustine, Faathim the Kind) were for the high-level heroes (40 and up for the first two, 44 and up for the last two) but were difficult to organize due to 1) needing a full team of 8 players, an act akin to herding cats and 2) what was then incredible amounts of time needed to play them (Dr. Q at its fastest back then - before the phone calls were moved up to the 1/3 tier and before Ouro portals made it faster to get back to the city zones for certain missions - was about 8 hours... you needed practically a whole day to run that one TF. It's much better now (fastest was clocked at 5 hours)).
The plan has been, now is, and always will be to post sign-up sheets on the Forums here the week of each planned Shardtober weekend. Dr. Q's sign-up sheet will appear the last week of September leading up to the Oct. 3-4 weekend. There will be at least one TF planned each Saturday and Sunday. I hope to be there for each Sunday this year: I would like to have someone volunteer to manage the Saturday run.
One Shardtober run each weekend for the first four weekends of October. Requirements are primarily that your character(s) be above Level 40 for the Dr. Q and Sara Moore TFs. You will need to be Levels 44 and up for Augustine and Faathim TFs. Past that, the Archetypes needed are purely up to the players: I do suggest that the Second and Fourth TFs get at least one Tanker and one Defender/Controller with DeBuff powersets (not to SPOIL much, but those two TFs have GODS! to defeat). It would also help for players to have Flight or Teleport powers, and one player definitely to have Recall Friend to assist moving about the Shard Realms. Just in case, there are Jetpack vendors in the zones so you can buy a Temp flight power as needed.
One more thing: getting into the hidden base in the Cascades zone for the Sara Moore TF. For those wanting to play Shardtober but haven't visited the Shard realms yet, I encourage to head to Firebase Zulu (via the middle Portal Corp. building in Peregrine Island) and run the Gen. Hammond contact until you unlock the Dr. Boyd contact. Then go run the Dr. Boyd contact: his opening storyarc will unlock the secret base for you.
Did I miss anything? Oh, usually by the third weekend, the Game Devs will have the Holloween event going on in full swing. If you need to, the doors in Firebase Zulu will work for Trick or Treating. For Holloween itself (Saturday Oct. 31st) we should be done with the event and RL matters (BAGS OF CANDY!) of course so there's no TF planned that eve.
Come battle the shadows. Save the city from dark gods. Oh, and earn badges and custom weapons.
Shardtober. Soon. I promise. -
-
Just gotta remember, it's a Tanker event first and foremost. But bringing Tanker pirates is bonus/choice/awesome level of awesome.
-
Quote:It was just for a few pictures so I can make poster images to promote the event.I'll be there, will there be a team going on those arcs or are they pretty easy?
Many thanks to Ready Aim Poke, Golden Destroyer, and Doll Mistress for taking a few minutes to aggro some eyeballs (and a fake nemesis).
I've edited a few and added the images sans text onto my Photobucket site.

Hope it works -
Quote:I've tried leaving. Didn't take. >:-)Sept 1st has come and gone.
Was there a mass exodus as predicted?
If you're referring to The Other Game, I am amazed anyone who was here between Issues 5 and 6 would go anywhere near a game worked on by Statesman. Guy was a deceiving nerfbat wielder of the highest order. So obsessed with BALANCE that he lost track of this little thing called FUN. I don't care if The Other Game comes with a free lifetime supply of bacon pizza burgers, I ain't going near it. -
I just love that word, convocate, ever since I slept through high school Latin, ah well.
Just to let the krewe of rum raiding experts know, there's a Tanker Tuesday tour stop in Pinnacle server this month (Sept. 15th). As some of ye recall, we tried starting up a pirate-themed SG in Pinnacle a few years back named appropriately enough the Bloody Bay Bucs. Which fell apart because everyone's friends were back in Champion server and it was just easier to form a pirate SG in Champ.
But with the Tankage stopover in Pinnacle, a reminder to ye all, if ye got a pirate Tanker in Pinnacle, now's the time to brush him/her off and get some rum raiding done. Or if you don't have a pirate Tanker on Pinnacle, now's a good time to build one!
Just lemme know before the 15th if you make a Pirate Tanker for joinin' the Pinnacle SG, and I'll hop onto the SG leader to invite ye. Also to let ye know, the Pinnacle base is slightly functional now - medbay, workshop, working telepads to major CoH zones (still short on specialized equipment and on extensive Control and Energy devices).
I have, btw, two Tankers - Cannonshot (20 Fire) and Wittypirate (17 Invuln/Energy). If I run a TF for the TT event, I'd prefer the Sister Psyche one (20-plus) 'cause it's easier with the Stamina, but we can try a Synapse TF (15-plus, but it helps to be 16 or 17 min) if need be...
Arrr. Back to work on securing the rum, ye seadogs!
