Tanker Tuesday Tour '09

Heeeeellooooo, Cleveland!...er, I mean Pinnacle server.

Most(if not all) of you probably don't know me, but you may have heard about Tanker Tuesdays being held on Champion. You may have been to the 3 year anniversary which gathered 500+ Tanks on Champion with some Dev appearances, and numerous contests for prizes, or seen that it won the 2006 Favorite Player-run Event award. Or not. It doesn't matter.

I'm just one of the Tanks that have attended, and helped run it when needed every first Tuesday for 59 straight months.

Well, to make a long story short, we thought it would be fun to hold some Tanker Tuesdays on the other servers. One a month, on the 3rd Tuesday (regular TT is 1st Tuesday on Champion) going in alphabetical order.

So, all you Tank lovers please meet up on the wall near the Independence Port Gate in Kings Row Tuesday, Sept. 15th at 9 pm est where we will split into teams to have some all-tanker fun.

All levels, and powersets are welcome, as long as you are a Tank.

The only requirement is that you have fun, and take the initiative to attain it. Any Pinnacle Tanks who want to step up, and co-host/lead a team, please do. Just show up, and let us know. The more the merrier. No sign-up is necessary.

If you want to run a TF, let us know so we can see if others would like to join you, and we'll try to put a team together. We've completed pretty much every TF in the game with an all-Tank team, including STF, and ITF (results may vary ).

We usually try to form the TFs before normal mission teams.

To assist in forming teams, we ask that you hold up the numbers:

1 for levels 1-10
2 for levels 11-20
3 for levels 21-30
4 for levels 31-40
5 for levels 41-50

with the Judge emote (i.e. /em score 10) while standing on the wall. Once picked for a team, please join your team off the wall. It also helps if Tanks with like numbers stand close to each other on the wall.

I might even try to run a Tanking 101 team. For this, please let me know via tell.

I also ask that you join the TankHQ channel(/chanjoin TankHQ) for the event, or longer if you want, especially if you are late. Please let us know through the channel, and we'll do our best to put you on an appropriate team.

I have a 21 tanker, 17 tanker, and 6 tanker... would prefer running a sister psyche TF (levels 20-25 for xp) if at least 5 people can join the team...

I've been at a few of these on Champions, and they can be very fun! Highly recommend this to whoever can make it.

Hopefully I can get there, as well, for a ttt on this server!

Issue 16: all pirate tankers can now use red as a color. or black. or... what other colors do pirates use?

White, Blue, Dark Brown ...? Any color of clothing/uniforms they could pillage really...

I16 is out and looks like a major boon for TTs. It should greatly help with team set up and roll out times. Looking forward to tonight!!

Gah!! My highest out on Pinnacle is a 14! I musta' been looking at the other "P" server last time... I'll probably be running low. I have an alt that fits the pirate theme a bit better....

Another fun filled Tanker Tuesday Tour! Thank you all for a great time and thank you Pinnacle for your hospitality. We got to meant some new folks and bring the light of TT to another server. We ran a mix of missions and as anticipated I16 helped immensely with team set up. One very cool part was being able to run around PI at level 5ish without fear of being splatted as soon as stepping of the boat.
