Quote:Very nice work.Adrenalin Boost and Fortitude are incredible on Lore pets, I have no doubt a good Empath could do it.
I mean, if I can down a Rikti Pylon in 1:20(see video in sig), AV's should be easy.
Of course, I see you are using Warworks offensive pets and not 1 IDF and 1 Battle Orb (non-offensive). (Check out the precise way I worded my doubt...)
I think you should give AVs a shot. It just seems like the next step. Or did you skip a step?
Are Rikti Pylons considered to be a greater challenge than AVs? -
Quote:In order....Hey, I'm not saying your 'shade isn't awesome as all hell. Indeed he is. I don't think I'd have the patience to try soloing an AV with mine.
All I'm saying is I have seen an empathy defender soloing AVs with just his lore pets.
Thanks
It only takes a few minutes .
Was the Emp DEF using the IDF commander and Battle Orb...or 2 attacking Warworks perhaps? -
Quote:If they were using what my shade used they would have the following...You would indeed be surprised what Lore pets can do with Fortitude and Adrenaline Boost. The Emp is a sure shot at soloing AV's with just that.
The FF? Yeah, he'd have trouble. I doubt the Lore pets could down an AV in the five minutes they get. If you had T4 Reactive interface, though, it might be possible.
1. 1 IDF Command + 1 Battle Orb Essence
2. Inspirations
3. Envenomed daggers (I used a few of these in some of the fights...don't know whether or not it is worth it)
4. Call to Power Buff (Hero Alignment)
5. T4 Reactive
They would not have Extracted Essences.
I really doubt that the IDF Commander (time limit is 3:20 btw), even with Fort and Adrenaline Boost, could cause it to happen.
Maybe....just maybe...with a really good build and very judicious use of the top tier inspirations...maybe...but I doubt it. -
Quote:I'll get back to you on this.Ya, you kind of need to do it without the lore pets for it to be significant. Not that it isn't interesting to see.
Sidenote...
I summon the IDF Commander just prior to jumping in. He lasts 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
Most of these battles are over in under 3 minutes. -
Quote:If by "given enough resources" you mean ANY and as many resources as one could possibly muster (e.g. temp Pet powers like Shivs, Warwolf bosses, Katie (or whatever her name is), etc. + 2 Warworks t4 Pets with -regen, + many great inspirations etc.) I agree. In the current game, I don't believe there is any character that can't solo level 51 archvillains in normal content, given enough resources.
Even something like a FF/elec defender or Earth/FF controller can now buff Lore pets enough to do so.
But I do not believe that, my lev 50 Emp/PBlast Def and my lev 50 FF/Psi Def could do what my Shade did IF (and this is key) they used what he used for the fights... -
I continued on and killed several more last night.
Neuron, Battle Maiden, Black Swan, Malaise, Mother Mayhem (hmmm wondering if I am missing any???)
I sent the pics to TwoHeadedBoy. He may or may not post them. The UI is not displayed in those pics...so you'll have to trust me when I say they were AVs (+1 x8). (Maybe I don't have enough street cred yet to pull the "trust me" card. )
I am on Diabolique now...she is the first to present difficulty mainly b/c she...
- is on a map in which it is hard to maneuvar (finding more enemies (fuel) and keeping track of where she is running...LIKE A LITTLE GIRL!!!)
- is repeatedly using phase shift
At anyrate, I'll make certain the UI is up on any (and all) future AVs/Heroes I beatdown.
Thanks for providing Tex with the information Tal.
Later everyone. -
Quote:I recommend Vengeance for any person who teams regularly and rarely falls first in battle.Glad you worked vengeance in.
Another thing- if you stick with the orbiting death idea against AV's, you can rename your Warshade Orbiting Dechs!
Thanks for posting your build Dechs. I am sure it will be a great benefit for those interested in the AT. -
I agree with Dechs. A tri-form Warshade, well built and well played, is something to see...or...play....
Oh, and one of my 20+ 50s is a crab... -
I enjoyed the read and will be encouraging the Devs and others to check out this thread.
-
I just wanted to express my displeasure as well. This recent change needs to be undone.
Here is my story. I have a character called White Queen.
Arc 402619
Now, I am aware of Emma Frost.
And, I know that she is referred to as the White Queen.
However, my CHESS arc has absolutely nothing to do with the X-Men or the Hellfire Club.
I have a character called the White King and I have a character called the Black King.
I have Rooks, Bishops, Knights and Pawns.
Heck, I even have a character called the Black Queen (btw wasn't Jean Grey known as this at one time?)
White Queen is, apparently, copyrighted.
So, even after talking to tech support, and urging them to consider context, I suppose that I am going to have to rename the White Queen in my Chess themed mission...
Current working title...
"The Queen formerly known as the White" -
Quote:I'm glad that I inspired you.I was running an AE team on my scrapper once when he was about level 36, you asked to join on a low level character, sat in for a run, said "BRB" and came back with your Warshade. After that you proceeded to take over the team and maul more Rikti than I had ever seen at that point while everyone, myself included, laid around dead and watched... Effectively inspiring me to make a Warshade, too.
My 50+1 Warshade is now hands down my favorite character to play, so thanks for the inspiration and of course welcome, even though you've probably been here much longer than me. 8)
I've been around since Issue 2 or 3 (though I took a year off). I just started posting on the boards a few months ago.
I have 20+ 50s and many more toons well on their way.
AIB is by far my favorite toon.
Look me up in game and we can go run that mission again with your Shade.
The Warshade Brigade...I like the sound of that. -
Two things to keep in mind,
All Kheldians are not created equal (Builds vary)
All Kheldian players are not equally gifted (Players vary)
Of course, this is also true of any AT.
But, with the right type of build for a given situation and in the right player's hands...
Yeah, a Kheld can bring alot to a team.
A Kheld can even...BE THE TEAM... -
Quote:I was there and I agree; it was a breeze with the group we had.We did the Lambda Trial, got almost to Marauder, and the server went down!
We were doing quite well for a first effort, so about 10 minutes later when the server came back up we tried again, with most of the same people in our 2 team league.
And we beat it!
Still kind of amazed, we must have had a great team because it wasn't nearly as hard as I expected.
Still, I expect to fail a few times so I can have a few slices of 'humble pie'.
With all the toons I'm doing incarnate stuff for, I expect to become quite familiar with Lambda and BAF.
Hope to see you there!
P.S. - Thank you Juicy'Fruit for letting me use vengeance on your corpse. I appreciate your sacrifice.
Oh...and please, save me a few slices of that pie. -
If you are running an all Kheld TF please search for me. My global is @AIB and my two khelds are Serene Servant (PB) and AIB (WS).
-
If I were looking for 5 spots for LOTGs on a tri-form I would not get combat jumping.
I would recommend...Shadow Cloak, Grant Invisibility, Invisibility, Maneuvars (put the +perception enh in Tactics) and Vengeance.
Of course, I didn't write the guide that inspired the masses to become MFing Warshades (Great job on that guide btw ). -
Now THAT is some funny stuff.
So, if you were only using SC and LR, I suppose clearing that 72 person mob took another...2.5 minutes?
Were there any AVs?
Did you have to wait longer ? -
"Then one day, I was invited to AE mission by a level 50 WS named AIB, who absolutely made me and the other 6 people on the team feel unnecessary. We tried and died, he was like a weed-eater to monkey-grass."
Now I'm blushing Knight of Tomorrow.
To comment on LordXenite...the detractor ...
"Well, to be honest, as long as you guys stuck around (even dead and lying on the ground) around AIB, he benefited from your bonuses, that's what Kheldians do."
You are right khelds do benefit from teammates...but in two of the areas, capped damage and capped resistance, Warshades don't need teammates.
The resistance to control and slow is nice...but...then again...Dwarf, permahasten, ALOT of powers and great slotting...render teammates unnecessary.
Of course, having dead ones at my feet simply fuels the carnage. Vengeance is alot of fun. -
Since there is already so much great advice in this thread I will refrain from tossing out any more on powers.
I just want say to you, since you have recently discovered Warshades,
"Welcome to AWESOMELAND!"
Their theme song, IMO, is Fuel by Metallica. Now go listen to the song and then go forth and be FUELED by the masses of baddies to which you shall easily lay waste.
If you are on Protector I will gladly provide a demonstration. -
Thanks for the welcome everyone.
I began playing COH in Issue 2 or 3. At one point I stopped for around a year. I checked last night; I have the 54 month vet badge.

And you are?
