I can't find how to install the NA test. The NC Launcher only has the EU test, which I obviously have installed. If there is a manual install, I'd *love* to know where it is...

Besides the point, really. It's an arbitrary limit that serves no real purpose. It stinks of bad design, and I hate bad design.
-
Why is it that hard, though? Given the past, it should not be hard to simply run the build on both US and EU. Why is this STILL an issue after so long?
-
-
I would like to know this too, ASAP. Considering oh, hey, Steampunk pack is on Test! BUT WE CAN'T TEST IT!!
-
....There is niether words nor [IMG] post to convey how much I want to smack someone right now. That is all.
-
Ok.... I'm waiting for an explanation right here why the EU test can't get access to any of this!
We were told that we'd have the same test server! But all I get is 'Test Server (EU)' and, in the list, TestServer01 and EUWorldsomething and a whole greyed out list.
I'd like a damn answer befoer I have to kick someones face in over this
-
Why. Can. I. Not. TEST THIS?!
Why is there still a difference between US and EU test?! We wer told that they were going to be one and the same! What the frag is going on here?
NOT amused by this! -
....Why can I not access this?! The hell? I've tried Test Server 01 and the EUworld13 thingy, but niether has the pack on!
Don't they DARE have made it so EU people can't get access to this, I will freaking kill someone!
-
Dayamn son, that's a quick turn around!
And damnit, this is making me glitch out here! Excellent! Love it! I still wish I had any idea how you do this kinda stuff
Now, how do I get this stuff in game...? Hm.
Edit:
Righty, lets see.
At 0.18, have you tried fading out the Harpsichord? I get the feeling it adds a layer that makes things feel a little crowded, especially as that segment gets udnerway.
The above is especially true at 0.36, where the tune changes and the harpsichord now sounds a little outta place. Mebbe replacing it with the tuba(?) instead would work, adding more brass into it.
1.02 seems like the harpsichord is a tad too slow, too hesitant. Having something rapid there would work really well. It's a good base, seems like its missing something though.
1.10 the organs good, but I think it works better when the notes are held longer, like later on. It makes it sound much deeper and much more sinister.
1.28 is what I mean back at 0.36, the organ gells much smoother with the brass and blends in really well.
2.03. God I love that bit. Makes me shiver
Also what I mean about held notes sounding epic on the organ. Seems...hmn, like a few notes are off or something. Either that or its just the key. Not sure.
Love the ending too.
Anyhow, sorry again if that all sounds like waffle from an utter noob ^^; -
Quote:No. No, no, no, no, no. Putting an inf cost on ANYTHING Incarnate related was a bloody stupiud and uterly arbitrary choice in the first place, one I find abhorent to its very core. Have you SEEN the Rare and Very Rare 'thread' conversions? There is absolutely nothing about those which is in any way reasonable. The seem to, unreasonably, assume that every characterhas Inf coming out the wazzoo and is just waiting to burn it.Well why exactly do you find the WST offers you nothing?
First off you get bonus merits from doing the WST, that right there is usually worth it imo.
Next, you get a Notice, which you can just break down into shards, which you can then convert to Threads...10 Shards+ 2.5 million influence for 10 Threads every 20 hours.
I have yet to see a downside to the WST. Not to mention the big XP end of TF boost it gives you, that you can use on leveling characters.
No. I don't see a need to just make Notice = Emp Merits without something more added in. Maybe not the 50million Influnece I suggested, but enough to be substatial.
Like you said, I was wrong, the Emp Merit gives you 20 threads.
And why would I bother doing the WST when I have no need for shards? 'Upgrading' shards to threads? 10:10 is the only decent conversion rate going, and I refuse to pay 2.5 million just to turn something utterly pointless into something I can use, when it should be a 1:1 upgrade for free.
I get that the Incarnate stuff is challenging, hard, whatever. NONE of that equates to 'ripping me off hand over fist because we can!' And if it does, well that's a bloody stupid metric then, isn't it? -
Quote:I think it's the strings, it's the part where the tubas(?) come in near the start and the higher pitched acompaniment. Have you tried swapping that out with trumpets? Something a bit more brassy. The Harpsichord works well, it gives it a somewhat victorian-esque edge that immediately makes my brain scream 'Nemesis!'The high pitched bit? Are you referring to the harpsichord or the strings?
I agree with you about the ending, it does need something a little better.
The subtle vocal use is great, no problems there. Is there an organ in the second half? It sounds sorta like one, but doesnt have the really deep pipe organ sound, like a proper gothic one.
I think it's the strings. Something about them doesn't quite work (again, this is just my opinion here) Personally, I'd suggest trying a swap for more brass. Brass and Organ, Nemesis style

Why. Can. I. Not. But. This. NOW?!
*twitch* -
I predict the store crashing spectacularly within 0.00001 second of this going live

I guess I'll need to be faster...Hmm...how?

GIVE! NOW! Waaaaant! -
Notices already have a once a week time gate on them. I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to add anything more onto that.
And, Brand, the Emp Merits break down into 20 threads. That on top of the Notice breakdown being total and utter bollocks, not to mention most of the shard related stuff, but thats a whole other, pardon the pun, thread.
Finally, no. Just because certain people have billions excreting from every orrifice is NOT a good reason for everyone to get smacked with the jerk stick and penalised with 10mil costs on things that make no sense. As is now, I have no reason to even glance at the WST on my main. Why should I? I have a T4 Alpha that Im not moving. The WST offers me nothing. I can't change it into something I can use, its break down is of no use to me (shard 'upgrades' have a criminal price tag) -

Also, why the heck would this be an issue in PvP? They still have a big red glowy name over there head, they still have the same hitbox. If it really was an issue for someone, they could even keybind a key to auto-target players to make sure tab doesnt do what it usually does and select everything and anything other than the one you want, heh. -

Gnyasdhkafsjgskgsmg...
Lineage of War update made my spine glitch out. The synth sounds a lot better, and really damn ominous. Love, love, love it!
I also think the tone of Brass Monday is just right, although the second half seems better than the first. Certain parts seem like they can't make up their mind wether they want to be major key or minor key. Also, maybe try something deeper pitched (like more brass or organ) instead of whatever was used for the...uh...high pitched bits, heh? It needs a little bit more Imperiousness to it. And a really punchy ending, mebbe.
...christ, listen to me, can't even use the damn software and bring a critic ^^; eheh
Keep 'em coming though, man, you really rock at this. -
Quote:Oy vey, you're a fussy bugger, SamThe primary way to know you're a role-player is when you don't refer to your characters as "toons."
Don't ever change.
We on Union RP tend to use toons, simply because it's a lot shorter than 'characters'. We also use 'chars' however, so it evens out. We know what we mean
-
And this is why I hate ground/air specific attacks. They never freaking tell you. Like not being able to use the vast majorty of Earth Controls powers while hovering, despite being about an inch off the ground.
Bang went that character concept... -
Quote:I don't know wether to laugh...This thread needs to come back from the dead!
Here's my reckless speculation:
The Omega slot with require a t4 from EVERY previous Incarnate slot, which, if my advanced calculations are correct, is 36 Tier 4 powers. And yes, you lose them when you craft the Omega. In return, you get:
The Purple Triangles of Doom.
Your own personal cutscene. Designed in AE, usable in any instanced mission once every 48 hours.
Your own personal chest insignia, designed and uploaded by you.
A Fear Aura that effects anything -9 or lower.
A Statue of your character, somewhere in Paragon City (heroes/vigilantes) or Rogue Isles (villain/rogue) You chose the pose, but not the location. Sure you could get Atlas park. Or the bottom of a pit in the Hollows.
Ultimate Moment of Unbridled Epic Awesomeness. Think Superman VS Doomsday. A suicide attack that will defeat 1 enemy target, regardless of resistances, phase shifting or blah blah blah. It will take out Hamidon, or Lord Recluse, or Reichsman, or a Skull on the street corner. Downside is, you get NO rewards for the defeat, and you character is unplayable for 7 days, as they claw their way back from Hell.
Or bury you in a lead box >_>
