No Probs, Absolutly dead in work when no one breaks their pcs so I need something to do
-
I had this when making the Sanity Inc Bar
Had to search through the entire list just to find a desk that would take the bottles and stuff on top of it. Think it was one of the small brown ones in the end. -
I wouldnt bother with the end reduction, Light form gives you a huge boost to endurance recovery so it will just rocket back up to the top.
-
For Hamidon, I think we will set up an invite only global channel, Then we can use that to get important stuff across, and kick anyone who causes problems.
Just then we need everyone to ignore them on the other chat channels -
As for slotting light form, Personally I just had it with 1 recharge in it when I had perma hasten, But now I would just do maybe 1 Resistance, and 1 recharge if i had a spare slot.
You will easily cap your res if you run with your other shields at the same time. -

Finally a chance to speed boost lots of people and not get any complaints \o/
[/ QUOTE ]
People complain when you speed boost them!?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a really good feel for how the in game physics affect my character, for instance i can cut fly at about 50feet or so and land exactly where i want, what happens when i get a speed boost is my feel for my toon goes out the window. That's why i tend to politely point out to the booster that i'd prefer not to be boosted and tbh i dont see what the benefit is of it at all.

+recharge, +end recharge, +runspeed
lovely benefit if you can get over the extra runspeed issue...
most of the complaints have to do with slow computers and blue caves

Kinetics are now just as important as AM's in the holding phase. Ideally I would like to rearrange the teams for the holding phase so that you get 2-3 Speed boosts per team. Have to see how it works out though. -
That works for exemplaring, but not sidekicking.
Well it sort of half works. The lower person can hit the high one, but still has the health of his level. -
Just as something else, Made a new global channel by the name of "Hamidon", So you guys can contact me if you need stuff during the raid, and before it. So add it if you need anything
Normally online from 7pm-10pm ish on weekdays now. -
I think as it stands, Mr ? is doing the tanking for the first part of the raid, and normally he switches to his warshade who has a hold for the second part, Which is when somebody normally takes over.
..Which im sure you can do, Depending on what Mr ? wants to do. -

After that, Hamidon falls, and we party to Atlas and eat some bloody christmas pudding ;o
If i've missed anything, feel free to ask questions on here, or PM me in game. (I should normally be online with Apocrypha, But i'll most likely be online with Xiro on the day of the raid at about 7pm, when I get in from work.)

Wasn't there a second mito-spawn point when Hami is at 25% life? Not that Ive actually ever seen it in action, its a make or break on 50% mark anyway.
On another note, im slightly disappointed not seeing the holdless strategy in the works yet. But that can be discussed elsewhere.

You'll be seeing that next time
Just wanted one last crack at doing it the old way before we moved onto something new. Got a few things in the works really.
1) Raid with no holds
2) Raid with no mito clearing and no holds
3) Raid with only 25 People
And something extra special which is gonna need a bit of a tryout raid on the test server -
The date of the next raid has set to December the 19th, Details as follows:
Anyone over level 45 is welcome to attend the raid, Sadly if you're below 45 you wont be able to get into the zone.
The meetup for the raid is set for 7pm UK Time, With a view to start the raid at 8pm. (This is subject to change, I'll post if it does change). Remember to bring awakens cause its very likely that you're gonna eat some dirt at some point during the raid.
It's up to yourself to form your own teams for the raid, Try and make sure you have an empath in the team, and somebody with group fly, If possible.
This excludes Illusion controllers, They will have their own specific team, Which i'll detail later on.
For this raid we are gonna do something a bit special, It was suggested on the forums that we could use Christmas themed costumes for the raid, so feel free Should be fun to see a mass of Santa's smacking the life out of Hamidon.
But there is still one thing to remember, it is still important to not use Capes or Auras, as they will increase lag.
If you don't want to make a Christmas themed costume, please use the normal colours listed below:
Blasters: Red
Controller: Purple
Defenders: Blue
Scrappers: Yellow
Tankers: Black/Grey
Kheldians: Light Blue
And please remember, No capes or Auras to minimize lag.
If you have a hold, Please also include a small purple detail in your costume.
Please remember to stay off of the Request Channel during the raid, This is for the use of raid leaders only, to keep the plan clear.
Strategy:
After we assemble at the platform inside the Hive (team leaders will be able to show you where this is), Illusion controllers will be organised into a seperate team, with somebody with group fly. They will then hover above Hamidom himself, and drop Phantom Armies spread around the jelly, to draw some of the aggro away from the rest of the raiders.
NO other pets are allowed during the first phase.
Once the Decoys are in place, the Hamidon Tank and his team of emapths will move into the jelly, to get the aggro of the Nucleus, This is to keep the very nasty AoE away from the rest of the raiders.
After the Hamidon Tank has the aggro, and has given us the go, The Targeter and the rest of the raiders will enter the jelly. The Targeters purpose is to pick out Mitochondria for everybody else to attack, And you should ONLY attack his or her target. The targeter will move the group around the bubble, clearing as they go. Yellow mitos first, and then Blue/Green mitos after that.
The easy way to keep track of the Targeter, is to put him/her on your friends list, and click on the name there, if you lose track of him.
The general rule for the first phase, is that if you're attacking something that isnt Yellow, you're on the wrong target, And please try to refrain from using AoE attacks, as this could get you unwanted aggro.
At no stage during the raid, Should you ever attack Hamidon. This could draw the aggro away from the Hamidon tank, and pull the AoE attack onto the raiders
Once all the mitos have been defeated, everybody will be called to leave the bubble, Except for the Hamidon Tank and his team. Once everybody has left the jelly, Everybody with a hold will re-enter the the jelly and group up next to the Nucleus.
Once everybody is in place, People should cast their buffs, Such as recovery aura, and more importantly Accelerate Metabolism, to speed up the holding. At this point people should start spamming holds at the nucleus, And keep on casting the buffs.
Even with the reduced effect because of ED, It is still important that you 6 slot your holds with Hold Duration SOs. Every little bit of extra hold time helps
I Would also like any kinetics in teams to keep the controllers speed boosted as much as possible, so that we can keep pumping the holds out.
At this point, The only pets that should be used are Dark Servants and Singularites.
If you lose target of Hamidon, and its quite possible that you will due to lag, Click on a pet and target through them. They will never lose target, No matter how bad the lag.
Once Hamidon gets held for a period of time, People with ranged attacks will be called in to attack. Its important that you stay at the max range possible, to minimize the lag for the holding team.
At no point during the attack should the holding team stop using holds, its VITAL that you continue spamming holds because if Hamidon breaks free, He will spawn one Yellow Mito for every hero in the hive.
Once Hamidons health approaches the 50% marker, There will be a call on the request channel for Vanguards to be used by the holding team. This is to make certain that Hamidon stays held for the rest of the attack, as if he breaks free, Doom will ensue.
And one last thing, Please make sure that everyone in your SG and Friends list is aware of the plan, The more people that have read the guide the better as it saves us problems on the night -
Only thing I know, is that it has the worst animation EVER.
-
One, sometimes two applications of fire cages will hold an AV in place, no need to take an extra power if you allready have cages.
-
Got one in the works for Defiant for next one. Also got something a bit special I wanna try out on the test server
-
As far as I know yes, You just need to be on the ground to actually start it, Once its on you can go airborne.
-
Also, forgot to mention I would try and fit Tough in there too, Just to raise your S/L resistance a little. Cause its a bit low since ED.
-
You don't want to slot up gleaming bolt, the damage is terrible.
On my all human PB, I basically chained Incandescant strike, radiant strike, and gleaming blast. Plus using solar flare when the attack chain was down.
That was with perma hasten though, so if you want it to be a perfect chain now you will need to use 2 recharge in every attack.
3 Accuracy is really overkill anyway, 1 Acc 3 damage 2 recharge should do fine.
On the shields, I would now put 3 Resistance, 2 end reduce in every toggle, EXCEPT for Thermal shield.
The amount of fire/cold damage in the game is extremly low, and definatly never caused me a problem. The only main fire damage later on is CoT, which you dont get a LOT of post 40 anyway, Carnies which are just burn patches you should step out of anyway, And Nemesis flamethrowers which are just slow DoT.
I just had a single resistance and an end reducer in it. With ED I would just change it to two end reducers.
If you want a panic button, I would definatly take Quantum Flight earlier, 47 is a bit late to panic
Its a superb power still, despite all he whining that goes on about it. Instant activation phase shift, how nice is that?
Plus you dont really need to slot it anymore cause its not useful as a travel power. You can just throw it on and get the hell out of there.
I would really consider taking Light Form at 38 too. If you turn it on while running your normal toggles, You can pretty much tank AVs. I know I used it to tank Anti Matter. Energy AVs are great for kheldians, because of the extra boost from incandescane, you can pretty much hit the resistance cap with Light Form.
I would also consider changing photon seekers slotting to 1 Acc, 3 Damage, 2 Recharge as well.
You want these guys up as often as possible, cause they do a crapload of damage if you summon them right in the middle of a group, and will pretty much hit every single foe.
Pulsar I wouldnt bother with, the disorient is very minor and only affects minions as far as I know.
Slotting up swift is a waste of slots too imo, Its far easier just to make a bind for fly, and just toggle it on and off to move around.
Could also be usful just to try and fit hasten in the build too, So you can pop it on after conserve power to get it back a bit quicker, cause all human PBs are pretty endurance intensive once you are churning out radiant strike, I Strike and solar flare. End just disappears.
Hope that helps
(Man you can tell im bored at work ;o) -
I was gonna take it, but nova raves about it so much that it would be an embarrasment
-
I'd stick at least one recharge in the imps too, Handy to have it back a little quicker incase you lose an imp or two.
-
Just pick any christmas themed costume you like nova, and make it that. Ive got a Santa Xiro
And happy birthday FireKitty! -
Big Shame to see you go mate, Was allways a pleasure chatting to you in Atlas
Big grats on 40 too.
Hope to see you back soon -
Guess we could. Lets vote!
6pm Meetup for a 7pm start
or 7pm Meetup for 8pm start? -
Im gonna post up the plan soon, Including a big list of what powers are holds, and what aint.
And to the start time, 7pm meetup for an 8pm start sounds good to me. -
Imo the imps still do far more damage than HF ever will. But I guess its a personal opinion
