Update day!:
White Peregrine I'm actually going to digitally paint this one, which is why I haven't put in the dialogue in yet. It'll go like this:
Skull: Gimme back my gun you meanie!
Peregrine: Now, now. You shouldn't play with guns.
Unnamed Hero
I did this last night for more practice. He looks cool, so I'll call him Capt. Awesome.
Save for painting peregrine, I currently have a clean slate. Gimme more stuff to draw! -
I think you should curve the left (to our left) cheekbone a little bit more. It seems a bit edgy.
Good nonetheless. -

You did some awesome art, Brandon. The CoH comics you did were always a pleasure to find as a surprise in the mailbox.

Hey, awesome dude! It took me about two months before I actually tried doing different perspectives. You're definitely on the road to improvement.
I've actually found a top-notch book for free, titled "Figure Drawing For All It's Worth" by Andrew Loomis. It has nearly everything you'll need to know about the human anatomy. Definitely give it a look-through. There's nudity, but that's to be assumed.
Here's a link to download: Figure Drawing -
Actually, the way it's angled, I think you'd barely be able to see it's eye.
Nice work otherwise. -
That song was on the radio today. Weird Al was on the local radio station.
-
Do it tomorrow when you have a fresh mind.
Just my advice. -
Okay, my take:
Since you're going for a sort of light blast, the shadows will need to contrast VERY sharply with the color you're working with. Also, I'd suggest making the shadows more "sharp" instead of the softness that an airbrush would give. -
The dome part of the head's okay--the muzzle/mouth piece isn't rendered correctly. More of the front of the mouth needs to show in this case, and the mouth needs to be rotated on its axis just a little bit.
-
What did you use to make this? It looks like you got different weighted lines.
*Also throws tablet into street* -
Yes, but I think syrusb's design helps it a lot, as it really helps to bring out the emotion and style you'd expect from "TA's kid sister."
Thanks for the compliments, though. -
I don't take credit for TA's sister's design. That's syrusb's work.

Update time:
I wanted to give the pic a comical effect, so I pitted Speedy against my main, Viewtiful Shmoe, who claims to be the fastest man alive.
Speedy
Princess TA -
Just finished a pic of TA's sis and TA. It'll be up tomorrow.

Do you use pen over the pencils? Ink on a sheet of paper overlaying the pencils? Digital inks?
I'm sketchy (get it, sketchy?) about using inks that aren't digital because of how permanent they are. What do you use? -
It's done. It'll be up tomorrow.
Whiteperegrine is next. -
Speedy, I'm working on yours right now. It's actually coming along quite nicely.
Probably be done tomorrow. -
Also recommend "Drawing Comics The Marvel Way." Good beginner stuff and some good tips throughout.
-
I'm horrible with female eyes. Something I'd really like to better myself on.

Two things:
1. Got Flash today.
2. Speedy, here's your animation: Here
Excuse the pencil test. I'll still be doing your drawing.
